Awesome rebuild video, Thanx !!! My neighbor, who "QUIT" smoking, traded a REVO 2.5 to me, for 4 Marlboros, last summer. Deal of the century 😁 LOL!!! It was pretty ragged out but NOTHING is beyond fixing, I've got roughly $200 - $250 into it , so far. Now I just need to concentrate on the engine and transmission then I'll be up and running 👍👍 I'm not sure what model year it is but the remote control has the pull-out antenna. Keep the great videos coming Mark, THANX !!!
A coworker of mine, after hearing I just got my son (and myself, it turns out) into RCs with a Traxxas Bandit, and Bigfoot, says, "hey, I got an old RC you have." It ends up being Revo 3.3. Guesing '07, maybe '08? I love that thing! Way more fun that I ever thought it would be.

when it comes to gearing down when putting on bigger wheels so not to stress over heat things, what does that mean? i have a maxx and planning to run huge wheels but was told to change the gearing.
Heck yea I’ll be picking up my first Revo in an hour or so 😁😁. So I have a question about the shocks. So I upgraded to the hot racing shock cap and preload adjuster kit and the caps immediately leaked out the bleed hole. So I took those off and put my stock caps back on and no leak. So if the bladder was bad it should leak on the stock caps too huh? E revo 2.0 question
Just found your channel, I subscribed but what happened to the rest of the build for this? I just got a 2.5, yes not the fastest but I had one before and figured I would build one from the ground up. It's been a long time since I have owned a Revo as it was actually my first hobby rc I had ever owned. Trying to rack up parts so when the motor comes in I can start on it but where everything is so high and everyone is getting back into it now it's impossible to find part's or at least where I'm at it is. Looks like I'm going to have to order a lot of stuff. Maybe a little bit at a time.
Mark I have a Revo question, I don't have any real confidence that you'll see this and respond due to how old the video is but here goes anyway. I noticed that my rear diff case is not tight inside of the rear bulkhead, in fact if you grab the main driveshaft you can wiggle the entire case in the bulkhead and I don't know why. I took it apart and replaced the bulkhead and made sure the little clip is mounted to the chassis that seems to be what should hold the diff case tightly in place but it does not. I even tried mounting the clip both ways but it did not make a difference. Am I missing something else? There are the five notches/holes in the rear top of the aluminum chassis, two of the holes, the side by side ones, are for the clip to mount to the bottom of the chassis, inside the bulkhead. The other three notches/holes are for wire mounting clips for the topside, which I do not have in place. Do they have something to do with the case not being tight? I'm stumped.....
do you have a spare RC that runs and has a battery and charger and transmitter just trying to not be bored in this quarantine and don't have enuff money for one still in middle school so if you do let me know? good luck with that rebuild
Actually maybe someone will learn from this also. You know I am rebuilding my traxxas bandit. I put in the velineon system. It is hard to turn and control when running with my daughter( she is running my lost rustler 4x4). I put the rustler a-arms and such on it. But it sits really low. When I jumped like 2-3 foot my bottom hit hard. So I put my old traxxas rustler shocks and springs on it. It still sits low but much better. Any advice on support for shocks and springs?

Ahhhhhh gotcha.. Thanks for doing the videos and the tech help for people. I learned a few things from ya . I got back into the hobby this past year from a 20 year hiatus, so these R/C's of today are jus incredible with performance. The wife got me the Rustler 4x4 vxl this past Christmas so I'm a 39 yr old kid again man. I love this shit!! lol.

Also for the shocks after I change the shock oil or rebuild them. I use 70% rubbing alcohol to remove the oil.
