45min-60min kept it cruising steady no problem around 250-275

Do they sell the 150 with an insulated box? I come from the kamado joe world and love pits. Problem is my kids, I don’t always have 12 hours to be in front of a pit tending to the fire every 20 min.
What are the potential trade offs or cons of a 150 gallon pit with an insulated fire box?

They can insulate any of their fireboxes if you want them to. I don’t think there would be any negatives to it just that it would cost more. My 150 was 1/2” and it would take a split every 45min or so.
