My Dad was a truck driver for over 15 years. It's a Nomadic life and you do meet some creepy people. It's different if you're a local truck driver but Over The Road guys have seen some shit.

As a truck driver these stories send a chill down my spine when listening at night. Definitely believe in the paranormal and nope out when I hear stories of people messing with, summoning/talking to the other side.
I always love a good roadtrip. I just love it when people realize I'm in the backseat.

I'm under your bed - Well, I haven’t exactly heard too many of them. This is actually the first time I’ve heard the term. The trucker lingo is a little foreign to me. But that story was really fascinating, in my opinion. Great description, really grisly details.

There's a long stretch of road where I live (Lexington, Ky) that's called Russell Cave Road and it's a hotspot for weird things happening and is notorious for Fatal wrecks. Rumor has it, part of Russell Cave was built on an Indian burial ground. There's a Curve on that road that is so sharp that it has been nicknamed "Deadman's Curve" because of all the people who've driven off the road on that curve and died. I avoid RC at all costs.
Is there an actual cave? Go to the cave at 3 am and record it while you do it. Momo commands you.

Lisa Sharrah I kno I grew up with a grandfather and a dad who were/are long haul truckers for many years. This story is two movies combined into one. (That’s why I found it hilarious when she the author said “I convinced myself it was a scene from a scary movie” I’m like IT WAS!! None of this even sounded remotely close to RL. I doubt the author ever been in an actual big rug

@ the 1st story, that African American old lady is Marie Laveau. She was the voodoo queen and I've heard that she appears as herself or sometimes even as a boa in the cemetery. Oh and in the recent season of American Horror Story they portrayed her in a few episodes.
Actually this is wrong...not true! You just assumed that because it was an African American old lady in a cemetery in New Orleans that it was Madame Laveau but there are a lot of hauntings in New Orleans and black folks do make up the majority of people there. Madame Laveau was buried in and haunts the cemetery St. Louis #1. In this story the author specifically stated she was visiting the Lafayette Cemetary which has no connection with Madame Laveau whatsoever!! (Maybe that's what happens when you get your info from a make believe TV show!😉)

Gina Powell you think your so cool don’t you? Why didn’t you just simply say “ that’s actually the wrong cemetery so it couldn’t have been madame laveau.....” instead of being so nasty about it. The girl replied you very nicely even after you were a jerk . She simply got the cemeteries mixed up, there are a lot of stories in N.O. And she only mentioned the TV show as an “hey even Hollywood has told her story” she clearly wasn’t saying she learned about it from a show .
Actually Gina Powell..If you knew your New Orleans history correctly, you'd know the vast majority of the deceased are Irish. Look it up. They built the majority of what is now New Orleans and the roads and buildings there are all built on there burial sites. Like the Entire city is built on top of Irish immigrants dead bodies.

The only thing I can figure is that you are referring to my comment about there being a large number of black folks in New Orleans and if so then you most definitely do not need to concern yourself with my history knowledge but instead need to work on your reading comprehension!! Don't do it, there has been a rash of disappearenses at the melt ever sense the owner killed his wife and himself in the store room back in the 70s. It's rumored that even the cheese itself is made from human flesh.

That first story made my jaw drop after it was over and I thought about the ending. She said that they could have become casualties to Hurricane Katrina if they didn’t listen to that old woman and leave the state. What blew me away was thinking back on what the woman told her “Leave this place or you will drown for your sins”. If they stayed in New Orleans, they would have probably drowned in Hurricane Katrina!! 😳🤭😱
Truck Stop Horror Maniac reminds me of Ghostface on Scream. I love going on long haul truck runs with hubby..especially North. The Aussie outback will always be beautiful to me under the night sky with no lights. Nobody around and no towns for hours...love it 👌

My CB handle was Nutty Buddy which was the name of an ice cream cone topped with chocolate and nuts made by Bordon's. My mom was a member of a group of CBers who acted as go betweens for truckers who witnessed crashes, drunk drivers and anything else that needed law enforcement notice long before cell phones.
Also, my mom had a good friend who was a waitress at a local truck stop dinner. We used to go hang out with her for a few hours each night on which she worked. They had two arcade games, and I became the queen of Centipede. All the regulars knew each other, cops and truckers alike would always give me quarters for the game. Those were the days!

I to grew up in a large family, 12 of us and my brothers all 7 of them taught this girl how to protect myself, even when I didn’t want to learn at times.
Lol, that means I had to make them stop picking on me! But I am forever grateful for this as it helped me out of a few sticky situations.

That story after the curvy is very unholy and horrifyingly true. I just... my body starts reacting on its own I have done all the research and seen all kinds of unexplainable and unnatural things. The screech came from what is called a cryptid and one that would paralyze you if you took even one look at it. it’s a sight no human should ever experience I have had contact with one and let me tell you there is even more terror with the... humanoid/type featherless birds. It’s like you literally just saw the devil but magnified 3x as scary. It’s so unnerving that you just... can’t ever feel the same again. With your situation it’s crazy that your luck even existed. My god every time I imagine 1 meter above your head. My entire nervous system goes into shock with mucus running crazy and hairs going all up. The fact you could feel hate makes it soo much scarier. My god you are blessed you never knew everything that happened. The encounter you had. Is probably one of the worst stories of over 7 billion others. Now what that encounter was is something many people say is completely false. There are many terrifying creatures out there. But you probably set the world record for the worst ever human-monster-survived encounter yet and maybe the only one ever to tell such a story for as everybody who tries either will die a certain petrifying death beyond human comprehension or will have killed such a creature, either way. Stuff even remotely alike that leaves a permanent and powerful P.T.S.D. Scar that might ruin you forever.
What’s even worse is that I know most of the things out there that at least 6 billion people don’t have any clue about. The kinds of strange and unimaginable things that will really cause problems most humans would dread even slight ideas about. The kinds of ideas that make human nightmares seem like a concept made on mars. Just the images cause extreme emotional distress and anxiety and possibly panic or even heart attacks. It’s that bad. If you are a skeptic to the supernatural. Just try to imagine the reality of that idea even being somewhat near to reality. It’s really something no human ever wants to acknowledge. Even the true believers sometimes. Much worse than any other fear or belief of any kind, no matter how dark, twisted and even brutal it could be. It’s like saying there’s things out there worse than hitler. And we can agree that alone is very hard to say true. It’s just my ideas of thinking of how far we should try to go to imagine something that mostly is never even thought of.
