Hey, thank you very much for this video !
I was just wondering, isn’t it important to breathe through the nose when dealing with Caruso’s exercices ?
    Thanks again

Yes it is important to breath through the nose on the Caruso exercises. You progress much better this way. There are many reasons. One is that it eliminates a moving part. Please go back in my videos on you tube and type in Ralph Davella the six notes. Also watch the video Ralph Davella the interval of the second. I explain about breathing through the nose on those two videos.

I was doing a Caruso exercise where i did my set then did a breath attack flowed by a tonging note. My friend said I was doing it incorrectly because when I did the tonguing part of the exercise the volume went up he said the volume should be the same as the breath attack. He went onto say that when I practice my scales the volume should never go up as I ascended. Is this true, I should maintain the same volume although any technical exercise?

There are some exercises for constant volume and some for different volume. For keeping the same volume you need to establish steady air. Although as you ascend up you half to blow more air to keep the same volume. Look at my video Carmine Caruso lesson 7 Soft Loud Soft Volume control.
