That is really cool dude! He looks amazing. Old school miniature sculpts are very interesting to compare to modern day. Never played gamma world but wanted to try it. Have a good weekend and stay safe
Thanks for the comment Ryan! There are so many cool sculpts out there but so many old minis that have never been played with or painted. I hope you enjoy the holiday weekend as well!😎
Awesome! Thats a great mini and that colour scheme works perfectly, sort of a natural camo pattern that might come in handy in the wasteland. I still need to do a vid on my Gamma World stuff...I started to paint a couple then got sidetracked. They need to get painted, its only been since, like, 1979 that I bought most of them. I do have at least one that I painted way back then, with Testors enamels, I want to show that contrast of then and now. I didn't learn about acrylics for minis until a few years later. Heck, I didn't even know about priming, it was a dark time. Cheers!
@@HacksawsHobbyBunker Would love to see the old minis. My first painting foray was with the same oil base paints. Man was I behind the curb. Had no concept of thinning paints or anything else.
I also have a soft spot for old sculpts like this one,u did it justice getting it back on the table. Thanks for the wholesome content.Enjoy your 4th of July!
Not taking from any of the new stuff today. However, old minis had a creative vein in them. Like someone was working through the concepts of the rpgs the mini was being sculpted for. Sometimes the sculpts were rough...but they just had a feeling to them. Thanks for watching and commenting😊
No need to justify liking old school models. People knock the exaggerated proportions and poses sometimes, but I think they withstand the "3 feet test" much better than many modern series do.
Love those old pewter minis! BTW, what scale do you typically work in? I've seen you use "army man" scale figures in past videos, but this one looks closer to the smaller scale of more conventional gaming miniatures.
David, I am all over the place. When I run a fantasy DCC rpg its normally 28mm heroic. However, Any mutant game can be open for 20mm, 25mm, 28mm and 32mm. Thanks for commenting!😎
I loved Gamma World but it was always hard for me to play. Most people around me were into AD&D and few others. I played Star Frontiers, Top Secret, Gamma World, and pretty much anything TSR. I could not get Boot Hill to happen but I think there is potentially more interest in the genre but those particular rules were not my fav. Thanks for sharing!
No it fine...had trouble with TH-cam flagging it for Copy write issues. Had to reupload. Thank you so much for your comment and being a supporter. You Rock!😎
Welcome home, little guy! So glad he finally found his true calling.
His place was always the table. 😊

Also forgot to add- Gamma World (1st Ed) was the bomb, I was lucky enough to have a dedicated group to play it with for a couple years.

They don’t make them like they use to! He looks fantastic
I agree! Nothing like seeing old school mini painted and based. Thanks for watching =)
What a fun trip down memory lane... before he was mauled by a tank, anyway. Good stuff!

Stronger than some of the Resin models I've seen for sure. Glad you liked the video! You Rock Chet!

Another fun video! Thanks again!
P.S: That plant guy with the pot on his head is awesome! Can you remember where he's from?
Yes! That is a Mutant Crawl Classic miniature. Check out my video...Meet the Mutant Miniatures for more awesome minis.
Enjoyed the video. I hope my earlier comment wasn't inappropriate
