Excellent vid, thank you for posting. I was on the BA flight at the end of the vid....made for an exciting start to our holiday! BA Flight and Cabin crew were all very good in trying circumstances.
+PRicardofaria The discontinued approach was a lot of fun! We held for about 5 minutes and then FNC closed so we landed in PXO for fuel and then routed to LIS for an overnight stay. We returned to FNC on the 27th for a successful landing.
This is again an awesome video!! Especially the TAP Portugal was in an awesome croswwind! :DD But the transavia 737 as well, it was really amazing to see that! Have an awesome day! :D
Great catch. I'm now in San-Diego USA. The airplane JAL B787 was caught by turbulence on Pacific Ocean. I dislike the vibration in turbulence. I was terrified on the airplane. If I encounter the shaking as 2:33 and 3:01 I will faint.
I must admit that the Airbus is an amazing airplane, you can see the difference between the Airbus and how stable it is and how the Boing is pushed around by the wind. Great video thanks!
+Daniel I have heard that from Pilots many of them said the same, and we are talking about the smaller ones like the 737 and the A320, the bigger ones like the 777 and A 340 they haven't much difference
+BaghdadSon78 The POS scarebus was the one going around, why you ask? Because the yaw computer that makes it "looK" smooth to you doesnt allow the pilot to use it to fly a safe crosswind landing. I flew one time in a scarebus 320 in windy weather. NEVER again. I am a pilot and I could feel some crazy yawing in that plane.
+Robert Archer But if you see the statistics you can see that the Airbus is the safest one. If it wasn't for the advanced computers in it then we would have another dead people in crashes one example the river crash in Hudson, the computers saved these people by smooth gliding and flair in the right moment of impact no other airplaine could do it. I also have many friends who are pilots and they confirmed me that actually both Boeing and Airbus are very good airplaines but they prefer Airbus.
Wij hebben met Transavia gevlogen, het is maar goed dat je niet alles van tevoren weet maar spectaculair is het .Het eiland is prachtig en de film een beauty.Proficiat en groetjes uit een winters Nederland.
+scotrail82 there are a few airports that the airline has a handful of pilots as the only pilots acertified to fly into. There are even airports themselves that say on the approach charts "Captain MUST fly".

Reminds me of when a cessna pilot was trying to land in heavy wind and was bouncing and hovering at the end of the runway, go forward 10 feet then back into hovering, bounce go 10 feet hover, bounce on runway go 5 feet hover. Six of us ran out and grabbed hold of the wing struts and walked the bouncing hovering plane down the runway and into the hanger. Pilot opened cockpit door, he had only one hand, empty beer cans all over the floor, and the alcohol stink made cockpit smell like a bar. And we all were hanging onto wingstruts just feet away from the spinning propeller on a violently bouncing hovering aircraft to save a drunk pilot, who should have gone to a different airport away from the violent wind.
After flying single and twin engine lite aircraft I have been extremely lucky only having to land in some bad cross winds. My feelings are that the Captain and/or flight crew MUST know the aircraft they are flying and have complete trust in the aircraft AND in their own flying skills!! I applauded any flight crew that attempts several landings and then fly's away to an alternate landing airport.
Not me, I would never divert. I believe in that old flying adage, "any landing that you can walk away from is a good landing". So the passengers had better get ready for the ride of their life's!
That was some nice windy footage! Looks like it was a very exciting and challenging day to fly. Great video!

God bless all the pilots in the world! ...Thanks for sharing...
As always a beautiful Video from Madeira Airport. Thumbs up!!
Great action in this Video! Liked a lot!
Some day i will come visit you ;)
Those pilots handled the winds pretty nicely! Liked!
Another amazing video. Glad that TAP, Air Berlin, and BA all went around. Happy 2016, and thanks for all the great videos!
Great video!Thank´s for sharing!LIKE!Greetings!
Damn, had goosebumps watching this. Bless all pilots around the world!
Your videos have some great photography. Very enjoyable.
Wow! Impressive video! Love that pilot skills!
Awesome footage mate, it is amazing what some pilots can do in these challenging conditions!! Liked :D
Nice captures! Great compilation!
Thank you Paulo. You make my favorite videos
Awesome video man!

Awesome video.Amazing skills by the pilots.
I feel sorry for that dash 8 pilot. And awesome catch of that go round at the end. Great vid man
Stunning video mate, Madeira Airport is so unique! :) Liked!
Some Captain's certainly earned their wage that day. You were in the elements too! well done.
*****
Happy new year to you too. :)
Great video! I'm a Boeing guy, but the A320's appear admirably tolerant of high AoA with good control and manners.
Well Done! Great Video.
Amazing video, beautiful footage!!
Great catch.

+BaghdadSon78 You can't say that. How do you know the wind conditions were the same? They can change in seconds.

Fantastic video!!!
Amazing spotting compilation!! Liked and subscribed :)
Very nice vid!!! Happy Holidays!!!

Absolutely amazing! Spectacular compilation :D
Saved to favorite for sure!
Que buenas tomas!!!...

Customers like me really need to trust the pilots ;)
I prefer to flight in summer :)
Nice Video Bud, the pilots know what they are doing as this video shows. I know BA have it that only a certain few pilots can fly into maderia.
+scotrail82 there are a few airports that the airline has a handful of pilots as the only pilots acertified to fly into. There are even airports themselves that say on the approach charts "Captain MUST fly".

Some very impressive controlled crashes.
Good work by all, but that Q400 was very well controlled.
Wow great video mate. What a stormy day. Happy New Year. :-)
Great footage!
+PRicardofaria Thanks man! Keep up the good work! And happy new year to you too :D
Great vídeo
Great video
The Q400 pilot was the smoothest 👍🏼👍🏼

Great video!
When they manage to yaw the aircraft and straighten it out 10 feet or so above the ground, are they varying the thrust between the engines?
How do you know the handling pilot was the captain? It may have been the FO.
Is there any footage from inside of a plane? ;)
cara que perigoso heim o piloto tem que ter sangue frio
2:16 is the air berlin engine broken or is that normal? the outside looks like a squeezed soda can...

Espectacular
2:20 Epic!
Interesting, why is it always planes keep going around to stupid wind, I would slam it onto the run way nose gear first, and that's it..
Cool!!!
Great video although why do you assume a Captain performed these landings? Many FO's are as skilled the Captains
Why did you speed up some recordings?
Pilot Knows well how to control his plane as one can control a ball in his hand.
Pity about wind across mic.
Not me, I would never divert. I believe in that old flying adage, "any landing that you can walk away from is a good landing". So the passengers had better get ready for the ride of their life's!
Lol, though ultimately silly because damaging your plane on landing is like damaging your car while parking. Not really acceptable.
That last one from BA, looked like the plane was melting man ... camera effect or special effect :D?
It's still OK.
Congrats on the shots.
Unless.......this is a Captain only, landing????
These pilots could land a brick as if it were a feather
HOLY SHIT THAT'S SCARY!!!
+PRicardofaria Is it always that windy over there??
+PRicardofaria Ok. 😊
this video is edited to show the plans twist and shake
transavia pilot wow
wind aren't that strong in some planes.
Cool
wow
5*
What a terrible airport !
Madeira airport
@2:40 Fuck this I'm getting out of here
Bulltweety! they just sit there hands-off and let the computer do it. I saw it on Homer Simpson!
