Yes, 100%. Went through all the bs parts store trash and finally started ordering Toyota inserts for less than the cost of one blade from the parts store. Very easy to do and I just replaced my front inserts. Need to order another set for the front and rear to put on next spring.
The stuff that nobody ever lets. You in on to waste so much money ! Glad. You made the video gonna check and see now how much they are at the local dealer great idea! Gotta help each other out! 🇺🇸💯
I'm lazy, I just buy the whole OEM blade assemblies online at my Toyota dealerships, they are about $20 with the online discount! I keep a set in stock and order new ones when I replaced them. Don't make the mistake of buying Toyota's value line brand though! Those Slightline blades aren't that good. For the rear, I changed my settings to do half wipes, much easier on the blade during use, will extend its life and it's easier to replace!
So I purposely saved the saved the OEM blades from my '22 4R but tossed the metal inserts that fit in the blade. Didn't think the blades would not come with them. I guess I have to buy the whole assembly now.
@@MartinezFAMHawaii If you took the blades off then it would cost a bit to replace them but the inserts/refills are cheaper than new aftermarket blades, in most cases
@@T4Rgarage After 12 years I replaced the whole thing since the blade itself was brittle and paint (black) coming off. It was $60 the whole set (front only) here in Hawaii, I could've have buy the inserts only but mine as well replace the whole thing.
Tried ordering these blades but I haven't found the left side available as a single unit. They come ten minimum to order from online Toyota outlets. Right side is single unit. Why is this?
I recently went to my Toyota dealer to buy new OE blades because my new to me 4Runner that had aftermarket blades. Took the part # to them and was told Toyota no longer makes them and went to sell me Trico blades. Told them no thanks.
@@monzsterman7479 They can definitely get them. They probably make more $ from the trico blades. I just picked mine up the other day from Toyota. You can order them online from a different dealer or Toyota parts supplier
@@T4Rgarage I thought it odd that the dealer would discontinue a blade for a 2016. I will look for an online dealer being as there is only one in my area. This is the first Toyota I have owned. My Hondas have the same type blade but and replacing the inserts are much easier. Even though I had the part numbers I appreciate that you always give them.
Dude. Hell yeah. This is one of those ‘I was this years old’ when I found this out moments.
@@ryanmoen6239 Hell yeah, OEM all the way! 🤙🏼
you are my hero, thank you for a super valuable and straight to the point video!
Yup!
Nothing better than OEM.
I learned the hard way!!!

Yes, always put a towel under the arm of the wiper. I learned the hard way, all it took was one cracked windshield to learn this lesson!
I completely agree on everything you said. Good job and thank you for sharing this.
Something so stupid that I didnt know how to do it> Thanks man!!!
I always bought those aftermarket wipers that are total crap.
Great video as always brother ! You definitely deserve more subscribers 🤘🏻
Thanks man!
I have silicon inserts in my OEM wiper going 4 years and still great.
@@3029dz Nice! What brand? Care to share the part numbers?
Thanks for another one.
Awesome thank you!!
Do you know the part number for 2021 Tundra for both front? Thank you
Thanks!

The parts department at Toyota City in Mamaroneck NY claims that they no longer make inserts.....

Yes the OEM is way better, a bit expensive but its a piece of mind it will work properly.
