I am looking at the Falcon UFO disc wheel. The brake track is 28mm and internal is 21mm. I know on LB website that the minimum size tire is a 25c but is that proper? I feel like the 25c tire will inflate more flat on top and have more rolling resistance. Is the UFO really (supposed) to be fitted with a 28c?
When you say the Falcon Pro are designed for 28mm to 45mm tyres, do you mean measured width when mounted, or the number on the side of the tyre? I am using Continental GP4000II 25C tyres that measure 30mm wide on the WR50. This meets the 'measured width' criteria but not the 'number printed on the sidewall size. But these are a 10 year old tyre design, when rim internal width was only 15C. The newer 28C GP5000 also measures 30mm wide on the , and would meet both criteria. So I think it would be helpful and more consistent to use measured width rather than printed sizes.
They have to be referring to the size of the tires. I honestly think a 25mm inner width is far too wide for a 25c tire. It will give you a very flat profile. I run the same tires GP4000II on a Pacenti SL23 (18mm inner width), and the 25c tire measures exactly 25mm when inflated. I think these rims are better suited for a minimum of 28c but best for gravel tires in the 35-40c range.
@@luisguanzon I was getting some wear on the sidewall. The Conti logo was wearing off, and I didn’t want to risk a sidewall puncture mid corner. I switched them out to 28mm Corsa TLR which measure 30.9mm and have 4000km on them. I can still have sidewall contact if I inadvertently ride a short gravel segment but they are fine on sealed road.
Yes we do! Here is the direct link - www.lightbicycle.com/carbon-road-bike/carbon-road-cyclocross-bike-rim/tubular If you need them built into a wheel please email support@lightbicycle.com as we don't have that option on the website.
I love these rims. I bought a pair one year ago and they are every bit as good as the high end rims at 1\3 rd the cost. Highly recommend them.

Are these disc only?
I believe they are disc only. Check out their website.
