Quick recap of the Gojira/Godzilla timeline. The original Godzilla was made in 1954 by Toho, and later had many sequels up to 1975. This timeline is called the Showa era. Then from 1984 to 1995, the Heisei era took place, which was also made by Toho. In 1998, the first American Godzilla film was made, and it was horrible, this inspired Toho to make the Millennium era, which takes place from 1999 to 2004. We are now in the Reiwa era, this title means nothing as there are now multiple continuities, like the monsterverse (legendary Godzilla and Kong) shin (standalone film made by Toho) and minus one (another stand alone film by Toho, might have sequels) that’s about it for now.
The Reiwa Era is fine and means something. The Millennium Era only had 2 of the 6 movies connected in continuity, while the other 4 were standalone movies.
A little trivia worth knowing about Shin Godzilla: The director of Shin (who is also the creator of Neon Genesis Evangelion) later made concept art about what Shin Godzilla could have been if Toho gave him full control and creativity. Godzilla's "final" form is depicted as a humanoid angel-like being, supposedly beyond human compehension. Basically trying to say that Godzilla has become God himself, which goes to show how this version of him truly has boundless adaptability. Imo this is easily the most terrifying and menacing Godzilla ever made. The fact that the movie's name literally translates to "The true/absolute Godzilla" solidifies my opinion for it.
there was a deleted scene after the fourth evolution for the "blood splatters" from the USAF bombing. and it was evolving sensory organs from scratch. it was gory af, so they scrapped that from the film.
I personally prefer this Godzilla movie to all the other ones. I love how its mostly animated yet it STILL feels like the older movies with minatures and costumes. They did amazing work on this movie, I just wish we could get a second one.
Monsters are tragic being, they are born to tall, to strong, to heavy. They not evil by they choice, this is they're tragedy. I mean, if Bunker Busters were able to clearly cause him pain, a nuke would have a fairly high chance of vaporizing him. Problem is that he'd probably grow back if a single spec of him remained.
I am someone who only just started watching Godzilla movies, it's truly amazing that something like Shin Godzilla or Godzilla Minus One can exist and use Godzilla and then a completely different version in the current Legendary movies can also exist and they're all great to watch.
This Godzilla is an allegory for the Fukushima triple disaster in Japan back in 2011, and a critique on how the government was slow to respond to the events. Some of the shots form when Godzilla first made landfall even look like videos of a tsunami, which was one of the disasters that hit Japan during that event.
29:40 - The fact they saw it mutate was why they didn't shoot, I'd say. They probably assumed wouldn't work anymore, if it ever would have to begin with, and given how Godzilla wasn't being actively aggressive at that moment, there was reason to worry hey might provoke it and cause it rampage harder which would have been more damaging, in other words shooting it at that time was a gamble that didn't look promising enough to take, from what i could tell. All that aside Shin Godzilla is a unique take on Godzilla, its implied he mutated from a fish rather than a reptile. And whats sad and scary is that its not even intentionally destructive, even when it destroyed the city with lasers it wasn't intentional but simple a bodily reaction, equivalent to having diarrhea. Shin's body is constantly mutating which causes it to suffer just by living, it's pretty much just following its instincts in any effort to minimize its suffering, all while practically oblivious to the harm it causes, not unlike people unknowingly stepping on ants. The music that plays during its Atomic Breath "who will know" basically represents Shin's own perspective on things.
@@paperclip6377 It’s hinted that he’s not done. Hence me saying he’s frozen, but still evolving. And it was stated in the movie that it’s only a temporary plan. This will only hold him for a few years till he’s back to terrorizing the city.
Fun Fact: Shin Godzilla's blood gets boiling hot and when it roars it means it's in pain and wants to cool down. Shin Godzilla ran back to the water to cool down as it is in pain.
I honestly like the Godzilla in this movie better Because he represents exactly what Godzilla should be: he's no hero or villain, he's no king, he's a mindless beast, just a living and walking nuke

I want you to bleed as much as I do To scream as much as I do To have your body disobey your orders like I have I want to die But it won't let me You make me hurt more Suffer more Once my lights burn out It all goes away just for a moment Feel my pain The wrath of god
Fun fact: at ~18:00 into the video, there was supposed to be a scene where it vomits blood but it was removed. The scene was supposed to show that it was likely trying to use its atomic breath, but due to it still being young and underdeveloped, it just tore its throat up.
Shin godzilla is indeed based off a frilled shark which became polluted because he ate nuclear waste that was dumped in 1950’s and can endlessly evolve into a hyperversal creature too if he doesn’t get stopped, can you imagine a poor hungry fish wanting to eat something and he eats something bad and becomes this? And gets attacked by the whole world while he is already in pain
The director of Shin Godzilla, Hideaki Anno, is the creator of that anime, Neon Genesis Evangelion. Recently, he's been making a lot of these "SHIN" (new, god, true, etc.) mini-reboot movies of different classic Japanese action franchises. There's one called Shin Masked Rider that's still free on Prime, if you're interested. It's a lot more action heavy and the more CGI focused fights have the characters moving like they're from DBZ.
27:22 - Ehhh You absolutely can Ignore this Scene. It didn't even appear in the Cinematic cut. They edited later in when the Movie got its Home Video release Which makes even less sense
The sad fact abt shin is that the roar is a scream,if u go to the ost "who will know" the lyrics are resembling shin's pain as hes body dont want him to die and keep moving

To answer your timeline question this is the first time that they ever did a movie where nobody in the world knew what a Godzilla was it's a complete like a what if all the other Godzillas toho put out, except for -1 have at least had the 1954 movie as Cannon they are new worlds where nobody has any idea what Godzilla is, the monster verse is its own entity as is Godzilla 1998, every American Godzilla is not considered part of Godzilla's Canon there was a little bit of 1998 in Godzilla final wars that's the one case where there was a crossover of sorts
I love the eerie tragic end of the world feel in the song that plays in the background the first time godzilla appears on land. The lyrics go as: Persecution of the masses Sacred Blessings count for nothing Oh God give us your protection Let no blame lie at the innocents who have prayed If your high praise is all we have let us not be without you. This song gives me the feeling that there is no hope and that the only thing you have left is the welcoming arms of God himself, so they're begging that God won't abandon them in death.
Fun fact about shin he’s in constant pain from evolving so much you can tell by his music he want to DIE but his body will not until the job is finished.
a really sad fact: Shin Godzilla actually, never wanted to live. His only goal in life is to make humanity pay for creating him. He is in extreme pain everyday, and his screams are of pain. You can check out "Shin Godzilla deleted scene" both extremely disturbing and extremely sad.
56:57 if you don't know. that is Shin Godzilla's baby at the end of the tail, it's the reason why Shin can shoot out from it's tail too cuz it's actually it's baby. Shin Godzilla doesn't go pregnant in the stomach so it goes pregnant in the tail. Once the baby actually evolves it becomes another Shin Godzilla and the Shin Godzilla that is freezed will probably break like ice. Japan isn't free from danger.
5 stage he grows wings and becomes like a huge dragon thing and thoughs little humanoid creatures on his tail come of him and sshoot beams from thier forehead

Now the thing about the tail those weren't teeth those were his fifth evolution where he had realized sometimes being small will be helpful and sort of made many mini Godzillas as a way to fight humanity
This movie "Shin Gojira (Godzilla)" is an allegory (if that's the right word) of the disasters happened because of the Japanese bureaucracy, they didn't mobilized and act fast during the two disasters one is the Tsunami and two is the Fukushima nuclear meltdown disaster. (P.S don't chew on me if I got it wrong you can correct me)
Fun fact: shin godzilla is always in pain, when he was going through the city, the blood from his gills were going out because he couldnt breathe and that was the only way to get rid of the oxygenless blood, when it evolved, it's bones stabbed itself, it's skin and muscles were growing at an unstable rate, almost tearing itself, and it couldnt cool itself down after the breath blast
In that way he is more akin to cell Cell keeps evolving, buu doesn't, he temporarily absorbs others to mimick their capabilities Doesn't ''evolve'' Cell evolves
I think all of his actions were out of shear pain from being forced to evolve. That first atomic breath scene was him probably yelling to get all of that built up radiation out of him, since he wasn’t really aiming at anything he was just blasting
Hey don i saw u were confused at the end well. The part u saw was shin godzillas tail and he made like henchmen that are like a human figure and basically those human type creatures can literally end the world if he commands them to but he cant since they froze him the reason it never happened was cause they froze him beforw he was about to reach his 5th phase. :)
I will say that this version is a great interpretation of the iconic King Of The Monsters, but that split lower jaw during the first atomic breath scene was honestly super creepy to me. It was like Godzilla had a love child with the Predator and a Graboid from the movie Tremors. I recommend watching the original Japanese Godzilla movies from 1954 to early 2002 to get a better sense of what makes Godzilla iconic, despite the English dubbing being supremely cheesy and the action in the 60s and 70s movies being corny as hell.
The director of this movie is also known for neon Genesis evangelion an incredible anime series it is that that is one of the biggest reasons I think that is on Crunchyroll
Shin Godzilla is pretty insane. Those things on its tail at the end were its response to out evolve its enemies, those were human Godzilla hybrids. They probably would have had a queen bee mentality or a hive mind, meaning again Godzilla would have grown its own army
5:03 "Godzilla Godzilla" isn't the Monsterverse, if anything this is closer to "Godzilla Godzilla" because it's from the original studio that created him.
Shin Godzilla and Godzilla from “Godzilla Singular Point” are in my opinion the undisputed champions of the strongest Godzillas, because they can both just evolve into deities given time.
this fun fact is crazy:when ever shin dies he would be still alive bc the flesh of shin has a mind of its own and can regrow but he well have a different form his body well to live can make his corpes of remaining flesh or part is alive it would have eyes and can kill people to become more deform and shin lung is on pain and body the radiation is affecting him bc of how radiation he consume so every time he do atomic breath his troat just comprised the flame into a small hole it like the water cutter if a water is comprised so hard it can break diamond
if you like this, I HIGHLY recommend Shin Ultraman. You'd love it (also, the end scene was the tip of its tail. If you looked closley throughout the movie, it had a face on its tail ever since his 4th form. the next stage, 5th form is when a bunch of humanoid monsters sprout from its tail and go on land. kinda like zombies)
Don if you enjoy Godzilla stuff there is one more Toho film that recently came out called "Godzilla Minus One" there's also several animated Godzilla's that you could watch such as "Singular Point" and the "Godzilla: Planet Of The Monster's" trilogy

Oh yes, I've been looking for people who reacted to this
Tu también crees que Godzilla sufre constantemente? Espero que no XD

A little trivia worth knowing about Shin Godzilla:
The director of Shin (who is also the creator of Neon Genesis Evangelion) later made concept art about what Shin Godzilla could have been if Toho gave him full control and creativity.
I only knew about the final form consecutive but definitely didn’t know the director was the creator of one of my favorite animes
And his/her evolving is is unlimited and he she can multiply based on the deleted scene
there was a deleted scene after the fourth evolution for the "blood splatters" from the USAF bombing. and it was evolving sensory organs from scratch. it was gory af, so they scrapped that from the film.
I personally prefer this Godzilla movie to all the other ones. I love how its mostly animated yet it STILL feels like the older movies with minatures and costumes. They did amazing work on this movie, I just wish we could get a second one.
one of the best gojira movies
Monsters are tragic being, they are born to tall, to strong, to heavy. They not evil by they choice, this is they're tragedy. They don't attack human because they're evil, but because they're own strength, and human has no choice but to defend themselves.
-Echiro Honda
Not like other Godzilla theme that showing its power proud this one show the pain, you can hear it from the lyrics it self, " if I die in this world, who will know something of me,I am lost
Bueno, este Godzilla mató a un niño por placer. No es porque tenga hambre o se haya defendiendo. Solo lo mató y sonrió cuando vio a su creador, Goro Maki. Tampoco te pases lol
@@Eddhielo Shin Godzilla never deliberately attacks people. Mostly it's a case of being in the path of its movements. When the bombers attack, Shin actually retaliates.

Japan: WTF, Dude. We’re saying it eats Nuclear Radiation
US: You expecting me to have IQ more than 1? We will using Nukes to kill it.
Japan: …
I mean, if Bunker Busters were able to clearly cause him pain, a nuke would have a fairly high chance of vaporizing him. Problem is that he'd probably grow back if a single spec of him remained.
Crazy that this film is like 8 years old but its becomes trending 😭
This intro just shows why Shin is my favorite Godzilla variant
One fact everyone should know is that the only reason why shin is screaming and roaring is because he is in pain because of his evolving
I am someone who only just started watching Godzilla movies, it's truly amazing that something like Shin Godzilla or Godzilla Minus One can exist and use Godzilla and then a completely different version in the current Legendary movies can also exist and they're all great to watch.
I mean no they can't exist but yeah they're cool movies
@@jackiejackyjaqy...7219 You do realize I was talking about the movies themselves right? Not the actual kaiju?
Best atomic blast ever and its not even close. Ive seen remakes and remastered versions but this one still stands on top
"like was the first one of it exploding? like CH what" the greatest words known to mankind.
30:01 people have been debating who’s stronger since that king of the monsters came out
Damn this movie is still sad each time i watch it, I really feel bad for Shin Godzilla. Thankfully his suffering came to an end
Not necessarily an end, he’s just frozen. And still evolving 😭
@@Your20droid he's basically a nuclear reactor. Once he's frozen he's literally done. Nuclear reactors need heat, and since he's frozen he's done.
One of my favorite movies as a Godzilla fan.
This Godzilla just has such incredible range superiority definitely one of my favorite atomic breaths
I honestly like the Godzilla in this movie better
Because he represents exactly what Godzilla should be: he's no hero or villain, he's no king, he's a mindless beast, just a living and walking nuke
ye i agree
My dad is credited for the Choir lyrics in this movie
Shin: What I want is for you to feel my pain my torment
My Suffering.
I want you to bleed as much as I do
To scream as much as I do
To have your body disobey your orders like I have
I want to die
But it won't let me
You make me hurt more
Suffer more
Once my lights burn out
It all goes away just for a moment
Feel my pain
The wrath of god
my favourite part of this movie is the real use of military vehicles, which is very rare for Japanese movies using the real thing
Fun fact: at ~18:00 into the video, there was supposed to be a scene where it vomits blood but it was removed. The scene was supposed to show that it was likely trying to use its atomic breath, but due to it still being young and underdeveloped, it just tore its throat up.
Not young (Godzilla is an ancient marine reptile) but I'll take the underdeveloped because it didn't mutated yet
@@somerandomrobloxuserit’s young
@@PoraminRammasutnot rlly…
There's actually a concept art of Shin where it evolved, and turned into an angel like being with huge honkers. I would pay good money to see that 😏
Shin godzilla is indeed based off a frilled shark which became polluted because he ate nuclear waste that was dumped in 1950’s and can endlessly evolve into a hyperversal creature too if he doesn’t get stopped, can you imagine a poor hungry fish wanting to eat something and he eats something bad and becomes this? And gets attacked by the whole world while he is already in pain
Has anyone else noticed how Japan is always attacked by some Kaiju? Toho Godzilla films, pacific rim for some of the movie, etc.
Yo you finally watching it 🙏
27:22 - Ehhh
You absolutely can Ignore this Scene.
It didn't even appear in the Cinematic cut.
They edited later in when the Movie got its Home Video release
Which makes even less sense
The sad fact abt shin is that the roar is a scream,if u go to the ost "who will know" the lyrics are resembling shin's pain as hes body dont want him to die and keep moving
People are mad he kept interrupting, y’all do realize he isn’t a TH-camr that reposts movies?? He legit said in the beginning that it was gonna be edited and cut. I do not understand how you can be pissed by this, this isn’t the place to watch a full uncut unedited movie.
Edit: I’m talking about a top comment I saw and everyone in the replies were agreeing
Shin is my favorite stage 1 was so adorblable for some reason
The lyrics go as:
Persecution of the masses
Sacred Blessings count for nothing
Oh God give us your protection
Let no blame lie at the innocents who have prayed
If your high praise is all we have
let us not be without you.
FAX FAX FAX 💯💯 This version of Godzilla is tragic tho, the lyrics explain everything :(

a really sad fact: Shin Godzilla actually, never wanted to live.
You should watch Shin Ultraman! it’s a part of the Shin Japan Heroes Universe (collab of big franchises). It released in 2022 and it has returning actors from Shin Godzilla. It’s also revolved around giant monsters and such.
i thought i watched alot of godzilla but just early today I find out about shin godzilla and spent hours watching everything about him. coincidence that you upload this the same day
seeing random ass youtubers who keep yapping being terrified of shin godzilla brings a smile to my face
he had to yap cuz copyright
Now the thing about the tail those weren't teeth those were his fifth evolution where he had realized sometimes being small will be helpful and sort of made many mini Godzillas as a way to fight humanity
Wait till Godzilla minus one that Godzilla took the destruction to whole new level
I wish he included the deleted scene showing that shin godzilla's blood and flesh is alive
fun fact, if you reverse the atomic breath scene, it looks like godzilla eats the fire and then repairs the city
I love Shin Godzilla reaction videos and whenever they see Kamata Kun they're absolutely horrified
Yo just went back from Japan, 10000/10 for me. Hope you enjoy your visit
Whenever it comes out you HAVE to watch Godzilla Minus One. Arguably the best Godzilla film ever made
Shin Godzilla is Basically the Buu of Godzilla verse. That Monster can transform as many times as he wants to beat yo ask
In that way he is more akin to cell
Cell keeps evolving, buu doesn't, he temporarily absorbs others to mimick their capabilities
Doesn't ''evolve''
Cell evolves
You've GOT to do 'Godzilla: Minus One' as soon as you can, it's easily the best Godzilla film in decades, Japanese OR American.
I actually feel bad for shin, he wasnt even trying to kill anyone, he was just trying to survive thats why he attacked back
yeah , also whenever shin godzilla roars it means hes in pain
I think all of his actions were out of shear pain from being forced to evolve. That first atomic breath scene was him probably yelling to get all of that built up radiation out of him, since he wasn’t really aiming at anything he was just blasting
fun fact:shin godzilla was there because his blood was boling and he needed help from the humans, and he was evolving to fast
actually that's not his final form the autor said if he kept
evolving he will evolve in human form monster that can take over the universe
You should watch more of the Monsterverse as there are things you probably don’t know about and the channel Goji center explains it
I will say that this version is a great interpretation of the iconic King Of The Monsters, but that split lower jaw during the first atomic breath scene was honestly super creepy to me.
Can’t wait for the epic rap battle of Godzilla vs King Kong reaction!!
The director of this movie is also known for neon Genesis evangelion an incredible anime series it is that that is one of the biggest reasons I think that is on Crunchyroll
I hope you enjoy your trip to japan
Watch godzilla minus one
Shin Godzilla is like Starfish from Suicide Squad “I was happy existing”
Finally we get a shin godzilla reaction.
Perhaps “Legendary Godzilla” is what was meant to be used
Shin Godzilla and Godzilla from “Godzilla Singular Point” are in my opinion the undisputed champions of the strongest Godzillas, because they can both just evolve into deities given time.
39:00 Godzilla definitely felt the "freedom" with those two
this fun fact is crazy:when ever shin dies he would be still alive bc the flesh of shin has a mind of its own and can regrow but he well have a different form his body well to live can make his corpes of remaining flesh or part is alive it would have eyes and can kill people to become more deform and shin lung is on pain and body the radiation is affecting him bc of how radiation he consume so every time he do atomic breath his troat just comprised the flame into a small hole it like the water cutter if a water is comprised so hard it can break diamond
Godzilla Minus One next pls, if you loved this you'll love that one.
if you like this, I HIGHLY recommend Shin Ultraman. You'd love it (also, the end scene was the tip of its tail. If you looked closley throughout the movie, it had a face on its tail ever since his 4th form. the next stage, 5th form is when a bunch of humanoid monsters sprout from its tail and go on land. kinda like zombies)
Not only that, he becomes a giant hunan
Damn he missed the humanoid creature on the tail. You should watch godzilla final wars lol. Encapsulates early 2,000s perfectly
Don if you enjoy Godzilla stuff there is one more Toho film that recently came out called "Godzilla Minus One" there's also several animated Godzilla's that you could watch such as "Singular Point" and the "Godzilla: Planet Of The Monster's" trilogy
This is a completely different Sha bang not apart of the monster verse
The fact that every roar/scream is saying his in pain and will evolve so big and might destroy the universe for creating him
After i know that i started to feel bad on shin i thought he was a villain but he was seeking for help on his pain
Different timeline but in one movie the evolution happens
