I’m still having issues balancing my teeter and I have tried all 3 hole locations, played with the height and the feet location. That aside I also noticed that when I invert that the muscles of the left side of my neck seem to pinch. Which is counter intuitive to what should be happening
Hi Zoe, the node placement is up to you. It depends on where you're feeling muscle tightness. For neck pain relief, you might want to try placing nodes underneath your neck or the top of your back. We would also recommend the Neck Restore accessory available on Teeter.com.

Hi Lee, we have 3-, 6- and 12-month payment plans available for our Inversion Tables. For the FitSpine X1, a 12-month plan would bring the monthly payments to $28/mo.

Hi Mel & Steve, with replacements, we recommend that you consult your doctor before trying inversion. Keep in mind when talking with your doctor that, with a Teeter Inversion Table, you can select your own angle of inversion. You don't need to inverting completely to 90 degrees if this would put pressure on your knees. Shallower angles such as 20-60 degrees also offer decompression and other health benefits.
Hi; once I'm fully inverted, and my weight has shifted down towards my head, (now my balance would be off a bit) will pulling on the handles help to get me back upright? Thanks
I broke my lower back in the army for playing a stupid game so i won a stupid prize. So i have pain in my back most of the time and because of the break now i have scoliosis.Im 48 and 6ft tall at 290 pounds and Inversion is the best thing i can do to help the pain and it works great.I get on it at a full hang for 5 to 10min 2 times a day with my 10 year old son and he enjoys it as well.
Do all tweeters have handles on top? I bought one from a person I know and he said that the tweeter I bought doesn't have them. I think that do! And do you sell the handles separately?
My husband had a compression fracture of his back when he jumped into the water at the lake. His back has been hurting him ever since. He's VERY active and has a very physical labor job. Do you think this would help decompress after having a compression fracture? He has been cleared by his doc to go back to normal activity. Thanks.
I'm very sorry to hear about your husband's discomfort. As long as the doc has cleared him for activity, and the bone fracture itself is healed, then he should do well with inverted decompression. Always check with the doctor first, though, if you have any concerns. It's possible his residual pain could be caused by some damage to the spongy discs between the vertebrae, impinged nerves or simply muscle tension in the surrounding tissues that supported the injured area. Any of those issues could benefit greatly from a routine program of inversion. I recommend he start slowly, at a modest angle, to ensure he feels comfortable, then work up over time -- the greater the angle, the greater the stretch.
@@TeeterFitness How does he need to be more specific? The tailbone neither compresses when standing, nor decompresses when inverted. It literally just dangles about and sometimes complains when you (or at least when I) sit on it wrong (I broke my tailbone as a kid). The answer is no.
a question plase; My husband uses the Teeter and I would like to also. But I have floaters and also had Lasik surgery this June. I have herniated disks and know it'll help with that but don't know about it affecting eyes. Thank you so much. Flo.
Hi Flo, We would recommend checking with your doctor to see if inversion is recommended for you. Inversion is contraindicated (not recommended) if you have a history of any eye, ear, nasal or balance condition, such as trauma, history of retinal detachment, glaucoma, optic hypertension, chronic sinusitis, middle or inner ear disease, motion sickness, or vertigo. You can find a full list of contraindications here: teeter.com/blog/faq-items/who-should-use-it/

Hi Lisa, this is may seem like a cop-out answer, but when asked, our answer is always the same: “Only if your doctor has cleared you to do so.” Circumstances are different for everyone, so the only people that can answer this are you and your doctor. Even though we have heard numerous success stories from people who have benefited greatly from using a Teeter inversion table after joint replacement surgery, we must advise that you consult your doctor first. Post-surgery inversion, once fully healed, has the potential to help keep muscles flexible and enhance circulation. Some say inversion has helped them recover sooner than expected. But inverting too soon and without being cleared to do so by a physician can potentially cause damage to the results of the surgery.
Hi Eliz, you should always check with your doctor before trying inversion. That being said, we do not recommend inversion for people with any bone, skeletal or spinal cord condition or injury, such as significant spinal curvature, acutely swollen joints, osteoporosis, fractures, dislocations, medullary pins or surgically implanted orthopedic supports.
@@TeeterFitness Well, my surgeons have said that I can invert again after I completely heal from my operations. L4/L5 Fusion & a double hernia repair surgery- again my surgeon's have said that it was completely okay for me to do so as long as I am 100% healed. I irritated them by asking them both twice the same question. Can I Invert again: Yes, yes you can.
I have a question. I have used my Teeter for approx. 1 month. Using it every other day. Feel great when inverting however a few times was hard to sit up due to my low back hurting. Then 2 days ago I felt fine when inverting, and then as I sat up I was in so much pain I could not bend over to release my feet. I do the inversion very slowly, and I am still on the first position. When I sit up I do it very slowly, and then I bend my knees and finally sit up. This is the second day I can hardly walk freely, and to get out of bed or from a sitting position in horrible pain in the lower back. Any ideas on what I should do?
Hi Corrinn, When you are inverting are you using the lumbar bridge? If you are not I would recommend trying to use the lumbar bridge, it could be that your lumbar area is not getting enough support while you are inverting which could lead to lower back discomfort.
When I go to my chiropractor they put me on their decompression machine for about 12-15 mins. But it doesn’t constantly pull on me. Seems like it pulls for a mins then relaxes. With that being said should I invert for a min then level out for 30 sec then invert and so forth and so forth?
I just ordered one and can't wait to start using it. To answer your question...the physical therapist that I have been going to recently (for some numbness in my feet...might be a compression issue) said that if I get a table, I should do as you say...lay flat when you invert...she recommends about 5 minutes...so that your body readjusts. She said that people run into issues when they go from inversion...to straight up...too quickly. That makes sense to me, so when I get mine, I will probably do that to be safe.
We like to say that inversion can help you regain height lost to poor posture and dehydrated discs. Daily inversion can also help prevent the height loss caused by those two factors over time. So it can bring you back to your tallest self, but it won't make you taller over time.
Hi! Can i use an inversion table if i have a small inguinal hernia? At least with shallow angles (20,30),but for a longer time? I dont have any lump or protuberant skin. Docs here are not acquainted with inversion tables and said its ok. I thank you very much in advance!
No, we do not recommend inverting if you have a hernia. Our list of contraindications (who should NOT use an inversion table) can be found here: teeter.com/blog/faq-items/who-should-use-it/
What they said^^, No you can't use an inversion table with an unrepaired hernia. I had a double hernia surgery but after I completely healed I was allowed to use my inversion table again.
This really fix's my back ever since my dog ate it whilst i was sleeping. I then proceeded to beat the shit out of my dog, when I woke up it had appeared that my dog had died after I beat it, and I had woken up next to its rotting corpse. POGGERS.
Thank you! From what I have researched the LX3 is the same as the LX9 without the cup holder and floor platform. The 3 would work fine for me. Is the gray back support the LX3/LX9 a heavier gauge vinyl than the blue on the less expensive models?
Hi Sharon, we recommend that you limit your angle to somewhere between 20-45 degrees when first starting out. You can then gradually increase that angle over time as you become more comfortable. We recommend this to everyone regardless of their height.
Hi, I have a question about reaching full inversion when you "lock" in place. i haven't been able to lock in place even though my table is on the A setting. I thought that maybe I was too light to get it to lock, but I weigh about 150 lbs so I'm not sure why that would be a problem and the height settings are correct. is there something I'm doing wrong?
Hi Connor, if you are already in the A setting, I would suggest setting the height an inch or two below your actual height. If that locks you in full inversion but makes it difficult to return upright, you can then try the B setting with the same shorter height. Be sure to have a second person nearby to assist you if needed.

I just revived my teeter today and was telling my daughter about it she found an article on a similar teeter and it read people with high blood pressure and glaucoma shouldn’t use a teeter I’m hoping this isn’t true.
Hi Alfreda, this is true. Inversion is contraindicated in any medical or health condition that may be made more severe by an elevation of blood pressure. It is also contraindicated in any eye, ear, nasal or balance condition, such as trauma, history of retinal detachment, glaucoma, optic hypertension, chronic sinusitis, middle or inner ear disease, motion sickness, or vertigo. You can find out more about the contraindications here: teeter.com/blog/faq-items/who-should-use-it/
Unfortunately, I have done nothing but get worse since I started my work on the Teeter after a month. The light twisting was not a good operation. I have pain in the lower back for all the time I'm on it, but my lower three discs have flattened, so who knows. I have had to take a break, as I got that miserable muscle tightening. Very disappointed. I am at 20 degrees and have gone no further and only 60 seconds or so. Bout to have a yard sale ...
@@TeeterFitness Gracious. That's what a Teeter is all about -- for people who are in pain, right? Of course I am experiencing pain. Spent all of last year going to a neurologist and a supposed spine clinic (10-11 visits in all). However. I finally came to realize ... and you folks need to be more specific with details ... that at 72-73 years of age, and with nearly 10 years of these problems (FIVE bad discs from L1-S1), that the muscles and tendons in my body are all out of place and twisted around. Therefore, when I got on the Teeter, there was all this stretching going on that my body was resistant to. Therefore, horrific pain. I ultimately came to two more things: a NeuroMD modality, which I used for eight or so weeks, which was itself, not without additional pain; but reworked the muscles and tendons in my back, which along with exercise and stretching, allowed me to TODAY, get back on my LX9. Second thing is, I saw a video of Rylie and Roger displaying and discussing product. Rylie, of course, is young and beautiful and preaches a full inversion ... all well and good if you are young and in good condition. However, Roger seemed to be saying the opposite, that a low inversion using the handles, will work just as well (perhaps more slowly). So, I tried Roger's way, reducing the angle of inversion and using the handles to push and relax, along with stretching well prior to getting onto the table. This was my third attempt and it went far better than the first two. When a person is in their '70s, they need to understand that they can't just jump on an inversion table and not experience additional pain, particularly if they have had long-term issues. As I sit here typing this, I am far more optimistic about my long-term success than I was before getting onto my Teeter, today. You might want to learn from my experience and adjust your copy to more-directly reflect age-related differences in usage.

Hi Mike, thanks for your question. You never need to go to full inversion if you don't want to. We recommend starting at a low degree of inversion for 2-5 mins a day and working your way up to a higher degree of inversion. Here is another video that may help answer your questions th-cam.com/video/1SqG_opiSn4/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to reach out to our Teeter Product Experts at 800-847-0143 (M-F, 8am-4pm PST).
I’m still having issues balancing my teeter and I have tried all 3 hole locations, played with the height and the feet location. That aside I also noticed that when I invert that the muscles of the left side of my neck seem to pinch. Which is counter intuitive to what should be happening
How do you figure out where to put the nodes, and I’m looking for neck pain relief. Any suggestions?
Hi Zoe, the node placement is up to you. It depends on where you're feeling muscle tightness. For neck pain relief, you might want to try placing nodes underneath your neck or the top of your back. We would also recommend the Neck Restore accessory available on Teeter.com.
I am 6' 4" and 265 lbs. What would be the best setting for my build?
I don’t have a handle on my unit at the feet setting Did I get a different model
Hi Tim, we have several different inversion table models with different ankle lock systems so it's possible you may have a different model than what is shown in this video. This video features the LX9. If you have any other questions please feel free to reach out to our Teeter product experts at 800-847-0143 (M-F, 8am-4pm PST).
Is it bad for your spine to use an inversion table if you have osteoporosis?
Since everyone is different, we recommend speaking to your doctor about any concerns prior to trying inversion.
Does the teater decoration , is it bad go ya if ya ha a bad neck
I have a compression fracture of L1. Is Teeter safe for me to use?
Is it recommended for DDD?
Putting the back piece on is hard. Is there a trick
Hi; I couldn't see for sure but need to know something. Once you're fully inverted, does your butt move away from the table? I'm looking to hang from my ankles as if using gravity boots. If so, do all your Teeter models behave in this way? Thank you very much.
Kevin
If you have vertigo use these tables with caution,
Don't go over 30 degrees invert and only use for 60 seconds,
It plays havock with your vertigo
Be gentle.
I love to have the tv deal. Can I pay notes? I am disabled &on a fixed income. Thanks.
Hi Lee, we have 3-, 6- and 12-month payment plans available for our Inversion Tables. For the FitSpine X1, a 12-month plan would bring the monthly payments to $28/mo.
How do I get an owners manual. All we got was a paper on how to assemble.
Please we need this manual. Thank you for this great video!

Can this be used if you have had a knee replacement?
Hi Mel & Steve, with replacements, we recommend that you consult your doctor before trying inversion. Keep in mind when talking with your doctor that, with a Teeter Inversion Table, you can select your own angle of inversion. You don't need to inverting completely to 90 degrees if this would put pressure on your knees. Shallower angles such as 20-60 degrees also offer decompression and other health benefits.
Hi; once I'm fully inverted, and my weight has shifted down towards my head, (now my balance would be off a bit) will pulling on the handles help to get me back upright? Thanks
I'm 51 and the last 5 discs in my lower back r completely disintegrated, will this help with my pain and pinching and severing nerve problems?
Hi Heidi, while inversion can absolutely help relieve lower back pain, we ask that you please consult your doctor before trying inversion.
Does this also help with joint pain\arthritis?
You'd better believe it does!
We're so happy to hear it helps you!
How do you get back up
Do all tweeters have handles on top? I bought one from a person I know and he said that the tweeter I bought doesn't have them. I think that do! And do you sell the handles separately?
Hi Richard, please contact Customer Service at info@teeter.com with the Model Number (or a photo showing the table) and we can assist you.
Cool, now I'm just waiting for a guy named Totter to come along with a horizontal turning table..XD

Will it works for tail bone? Playing help ,thank you
Hi Raj, could you be more specific?
@@TeeterFitness How does he need to be more specific? The tailbone neither compresses when standing, nor decompresses when inverted. It literally just dangles about and sometimes complains when you (or at least when I) sit on it wrong (I broke my tailbone as a kid). The answer is no.
a question plase; My husband uses the Teeter and I would like to also. But I have floaters and also had Lasik surgery this June. I have herniated disks and know it'll help with that but don't know about it affecting eyes. Thank you so much. Flo.
Hi Flo,
We would recommend checking with your doctor to see if inversion is recommended for you.

First time I feel little presser on upper back
I had a hip replacement 6 months ago. Is it safe to use my Teeter again?
Hi Lisa, this is may seem like a cop-out answer, but when asked, our answer is always the same: “Only if your doctor has cleared you to do so.”
Circumstances are different for everyone, so the only people that can answer this are you and your doctor.
Do people ever get stuck upside down?
Would you advise me to use this table ? I fractured 3 vertebrae and crushed discs 2 years ago. Thank you.

Teeter that was a very prompt reply. Many thanks.

Great for those of us who think they are still 24...and arent! lol
Why is the ankle locking mechanism so bad? It’s doesn’t always respond the same way and it strains my back

Hi Corrinn,
When you are inverting are you using the lumbar bridge?
Can doing this at least once a day increase your height over time?
We like to say that inversion can help you regain height lost to poor posture and dehydrated discs. Daily inversion can also help prevent the height loss caused by those two factors over time. So it can bring you back to your tallest self, but it won't make you taller over time.
I have trouble with adjusted the feet. When I change it to a smaller sizes the feet adjustment moves on me. What I'm I going wrong.
Hi Jeanne, please contact Teeter customer service at info@teeter.com or by phone at (800) 847-0143, we'll help you out.
Product any connection to the Teeter-Todder?
No connection, just a similar name :)
POGGERS.
Nice story! make sure to use your twitch prime subs

Is an inversion table OK for managing Ischemic Spondylolisthesis L4-L5 (with disintegrated disc)?
Good question I have the same issue,
old man at end of commercial you could not even jump
Oh yeah yeah
What model is that one that you are using?
Hi jfmanluke, that is the Teeter FitSpine LX9 Inversion Table.
Thank you! From what I have researched the LX3 is the same as the LX9 without the cup holder and floor platform. The 3 would work fine for me. Is the gray back support the LX3/LX9 a heavier gauge vinyl than the blue on the less expensive models?
I am 5'4". What is the best angle for me to start at.
Hi Sharon, we recommend that you limit your angle to somewhere between 20-45 degrees when first starting out. You can then gradually increase that angle over time as you become more comfortable.
We recommend this to everyone regardless of their height.
Thank you. The step to get up seems far off the floor as I am short in the legs. Very awkward.
@@TeeterFitness It didn't work, even at 4 inches below my height, on A or B. Is there something else that could be messed up?
@@connorsmith2728 I'm having the same issue with my own teeter device

I didn't watch a second of the video, but who else thought the name 'Teeter' came from 'Teeter-Totter'?
Hi Tonetwisters, if you are experiencing pain, please consult a doctor before inverting.
She looks just like Aubrey Plaza!
