Gilmour has it all....talent-wise, but he has that other special quality that puts him into that rare category of Rock God...that is, one can hear his soul in his guitar and voice in every single recording and performance. Same goes for Richard, Roger and Nick. Check out their earliest concert in Pompeii...no audience and it's a film, too. Stellar

Shine On is a very personal song about Syd Darrett who was a founding member of Pink Floyd and had to leave the band due to mental illness and drug use..........he was a major talent and close friend and it was always a sadness and regret; when Syd left, David came in.

I always love when I see people enjoying ANYTHING, it reminds me that life offers moments of joy. I am especially delighted when music is involved. When that joy crosses generations, continents and racial identity I dare to hope we widely wish for more joy for ourselves and for others. Syd Barrett unfortunately did not seem to experience his appropriate share. I have regarded this tribute as remarkable but also bitter-sweet.

This is his last concert , selling 120 guitars ( including "the Black Strat" that sold for $3.9 million without his Jimi Hendrix guitar strap.) Concert " in any tongue" "run like hell" last time playing "comfortably numb" ( 126 million views). Another must watch " live at Gdansk" (100,000 people) last concert with Rick Wright ( keyboard, 50 yrs playing and writing together) " on an island"* "the blue"" great day for freedom" " take a breathe'******. sit back and enjoy the greatest guitarist. any song on these last 2 concerts of Dave I'll be watching. David's voice is now old.....
His music and legacy will never ever get old!
Pink Floyd's music is a gift to all if we pause to listen with our soul.

I think the thing you like most about these older groups you've been listening to is no autotune. What you're hearing is being produced before your eyes.

Dogs of war has a great saxophone you will love as well as its a dark side of Pink Floyd you never hear from during the song. Live is the best
