But if you intend only to use main first party apps like TH-cam Netflix etc for media consumption then android versions doesn't matter at all and due to emui 8 as it is good enough. So I'd say if you are gamer or use a lot of 3 rd party apps then go for Samsung. Other wise Huawei is very very good. Especially for media consumption. It has , fingerprint scanner, beautiful display, 4 gb of ram. And most of all, the stylus with stylus supported apps. So if you are student and loves to take notes. Then MediaPad is tough to beat. So for media consumption and note taking there is nothing that is missing on MediaPad. In short if you need stylus then go for Huawei. Also Huawei has 4g. So hardware wise it is good.
New Note also works with other note taking apps. You can define which of your note taking apps is your default one in Settings. Doesn't have to be Google Keep if that's not your app of choice.

Compared to the Apple products where you pay £300 for the keyboard and another £100 for an Apple pencil the Duet is unbelievable value as it comes with case and keyboard as standard for around £350 - not to mention how stylish it is!!

My friend, it is not the device, it is the available software. Install ubuntu via crouton, hit for at least 16.04, or even 18.04. Install mypaint, krita, etc. Watch how, out the gate, you'll experience responsive, pressure sensitive, latency-free pen strokes.
Using the pen for notes is very painful since it's palm rejection is very poor. I am using Google Keep. Maybe Bamboo has better rejection. I need to try that

I got the tablet today, haven't tried it yet but doing research for best art applications that are similar to the photo shop layout, pressure sensitive and easy to use. Again researching before opening to ensure I'm getting even if cheap, my money's and times worth. I was looking for something affordable that I could see better and be able to start an art business, as well as using the laptop performance to web develop.

I see Lenovo is selling their own pen. It’s supposed to last 150 days for $35 but i don’t think you can recharge it. Kind of useless if i can’t recharge it.

amazing just that the ram needs to be 6gb at least does not matter if gaming or work as 4 is on the low side. is it able to power up and read external HDD ? if yes then it is a real deal for mini work/play sessions on the go. Apple product are a big NO, I don't use inferior products.

My HP laptop is asking me to "press the button" on the pen (to connect to Bluetooth) but there's no button on this stylus.

Don't use the Android app for Netflix. Just use the browser and make a shortcut on your desktop. It's quicker and supports HD.
the app from the Google play store is horrible on the duet. just go to the Netflix website instead.
