    Thank you for all of your content. I am in New York state. I have used the trophy copper in 20 guage with great success. Quick trailing

      Absolutely! There's plenty more to come. I've never used the trophy coppers on a deer, but I have used similar copper rounds and they definitely put the hammer down

    Not sure about some of these chrono numbers. Decent accuracy. Thank you.

      Some of them were probably errors, but I doubt these were loaded as hot as the box claimed. Most likely, the 1300fps velocities were the actual correct readings

    Now I been using Winchester copper impact slugs and getting a 2 inch group

      We tested those as well, but I don't think they were anything super impressive if I'm remembering correctly

    I’ve found my Remington to be extremely fussy as well I think it’s the twist rate. I had great luck with the lightfield Hybred (no longer made) as well as the Remington accutip and the Winchester copper xp. It seems to prefer heavier and slower loads

      The accutips did well for me also. I've found a few decent loads, but it has definitely been way more picky than I expected it to be

    Pls try mossberg rifle barrel, it will be good information for rifle barrel results.

      I don't currently have a rifled Mossberg, but I'll see what I can do

    I was using those federal trophy copper slugs in my Mossberg 835 with 1-1/2 inch groups but can't find them anywhere

      They aren't super easy to find right now. I found these at a smaller local shop

    Browning 12GA. slug guns have a faster twist rate, 1/28 as opposed to Remington's 1/35 maybe groups would be tighter with the a faster twist barrel. I had a Remington 1187 with a 21" 1/35 twist barrel that wasn't very accurate at all.

      It has been a mixed bag so far with this gun. We've had some rounds perform well while others have done pretty poor. It's just a picky setup that needs the right shell to really perform like it should

    Not trying to sound crazy but if that was a 2 and 3 inch group how big are the targets youre using?

    • @matttyreeoutdoors
      @matttyreeoutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The smaller one is an 8" and the larger is a 12" target. I used my calipers to measure from center to center of the two farthest bullet holes apart in each group. I can definitely see how it might be a little deceiving on camera, but those are actual measurements

      @@matttyreeoutdoorsIm just gonna chalk it up to an optical illusion, haha. It definitely looks like it would be a 4 and 5 inch group on camera. But Im just looking at it relative to the size of the 2 targets. Either way thanks for the response and awesome job on the video

    I’m getting 1710 fps out of my 20” Remington 870

    • @matttyreeoutdoors
      @matttyreeoutdoors  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This was an 18.5" barrel, so I expected the lower velocity. More than likely, the chrono was being a little picky and the 1300-ish velocities were pretty accurate

      @@matttyreeoutdoorsI was also shooting the 3” version. So I was 290 fps slower than the box claimed

    weak FPS numbers won't increase greatly in a 22 inch gun. Just under loaded

    • @matttyreeoutdoors
      @matttyreeoutdoors  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah, they probably were loaded a little weak for their claim
