Rainbow Springs campground offers low price camping with close access to the amazingly clear rainbow river. The campground has showers, restrooms, a store, kayak rentals, and seasonal tubing in the summers. Each campsite has a water/electric hookup, fire pit, and grill. The state park is separately located from the campground. The only way to reach the state park from the campground is by car or up the river by kayak, there are no foot trails. From the campground it is about a 30 minute paddle up to to the headsprings at the Rainbow Springs State Park.
At Rainbow Springs State Park there are kayak rentals (including clear kayaks), a large swimming area, a concession stand with tables and chairs, lots of grass areas to picnic on, waterfalls, trails, and restrooms. You can also reach the state park by car and get in free with your proof of stay at the campground. Be sure to bring goggles or snorkel gear so you can truly enjoy the clear blue waters of Rainbow Springs.
