I have a 2024 SFV4s and I wish I could bring the bike to Dave to have it set properly.

I can help you via email or video 1-1 if you are not in California. Is that of interest to you?

Love your work Dave. I have just Purchased the new BMW F900 XR with all the bells and whistle. As I weigh 78 Kilos and don't seem to have much movement in the spring .Should I be looking at a softer spring?

Thanks for the kind words. Please quantify suspension travel fr what is dirty vs clean to assess numerically what you feel. Sometime too soft feels like too stiff!

Is it worthy the over price for the s model vs the standard model? I mean just for the suspensions upgrade. Thanks.

I personally would not buy the S as I prefer manual adjustments. Purely preference based.

@@catalystreactionsbw OK, but manual adjustment aside, surely the ride quality and performance potential must better on the s ??

@@kev7118 If you consider dynamic and the frequency via the ECU makes decisions, yes that would be true.

    Hi Dave
I have SFV4s 2021 and I’m a huge fan of yours.Almost Everyone riding out there at any coffee stop knows or talks about you .
I’ve a question about fixed and dynamic settings.I understand that we customize fixed settings accordingly but I don’t get the custom dynamic settings? Why do we customize that?Isn’t the ECU doing it for you in dynamic mode? Why does it require our inputs for dynamic mode? What’s the difference between the default dynamic mode and the one we customize?
    Thanks a lot

Dynamic has a default setting from the code, so you can use that. Depending on your speed, ability, aggressiveness and type of use (considering the global bell curve of weight as well), you have some choices to change from default to create your own experience. It would be like having a car seat in one position for everyone on the planet. So, coders make sure you have choices to make your SFV4S ride well for you :)

Hi Dave, I'm a paid subscriber but got an error when leaving a comment on the video on your site. What size wrench to adjust the front preload? I measured 32mm. Any suggestions on how to avoid scratching the blue anodized nuts? Thanks

We used electrical tape. A couple of years ago a company was making delron sockets for 10-24mm via rapid prototyyping and 3D modeling on a 3/8th drive. Snap on makes delron inserts and I believe Motion Pro makes non scratch tools. www.apriliaforum.com/forums/showthread.php?343607-Non-marring-fork-preload-adjuster-tool
