Interviewed By: Dave Fanning
Probably the best, most honest and insightful interview yet. And that’s saying tons!!
Exactly because Noel hardly ever gives you what you want or what happened on an I i interview, usually something different
Absolutely 💯 agree. Great interview 👍
Great interview! Well done!
Hello from Tampa, Florida - saw Noel on his recent tour here, was brilliant! LOVED his comment about how the music biz is so skewed now towards glorified karaoke singers/pop stars and not bands. I'm still playing with my old high school mates from Detroit, The Incurables, since the 80s.
Pandemic transplant?
Thank you Noel, there are some that understand Moz! Few are intelligent enough to get him sadly.
Lol
True enough.
This interview from Noel & Raised On Radio 📻...Great Questions , Great Insightful Answers..👍🏼
we were on a break.
You can say what you want about Noel but his passion for music and the fact kids today just dont understand the feeling of going to buy your favourite record and it reallly meant something to us fans is lost on todays youth. I will never forget going to buy my copy of Definitely Mabey as 13 year old Roses fan who couldnt see past Them until Oasis came along.
Lived this 👏
Untouchable
Jesus Dave, you called the album, cosmic skies on the later recording, bad editing, everything else was great, big fan from start.
Wonderful interview... I too cringed at Cosmic Skies....😮
I bet Noel will properly consider a reunion if they bring Top of the Pops back
There’s just not enough music on TV at all.
Stop looking backwards.
@@b00ts4ndc4tsbackwards is sometimes forwards..things were better in the 60s ..jobs everywhere.. more opportunities everywhere..
Oasis was a great band, but I don't get why everyone discounts what he's done with HFB.
I would ask Noel a question nobody seems to have asked him. Very simply. Is there any part of you that misses Liam? Because Noel always says what a nightmare Liam is to work with, etc, etc but what about him as his brother? It feels so strange that Noel can put together these documentaries and presumably watch hours of footage of him and his brother yet not have any feelings when he sees his Liam.
Because they probably still speaking waiting for that right time reunion money
Very much like this post. It’s not all about the music.
I do hope that they can put differences aside and reform. Reason being is that they both still have it musically. But most importantly look at the crowds at there gigs. Old codgers like me to kids barely in there teens. The generation span is enormous.
It's called "Council Skies" not "Cosmic Skies."
I think I like the music Noel is making now better than I would if he and Liam got back together. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE RKid, but he isn't as good as he used to be.
Noel is at his best right now.
listen to liam at the miners welfare club and see what you think
@@doves9204 listen to Liam at Knebworth 22 Liam is as good as a decent live programme can be, I’m not talking a dodgy mobile phone recording as it was filmed live 💙⭐
Go Noel, soon you might find your way back into rock. Your younger sibling needs to pronto that I know for sure.
Good answer Private school is wonderful . . As soon as someone famous turns you down for a pic specially wen you were properly one of the many who put them were they are today . . Forget about them ASAP
The part about there being no Oasis for the younger generation is so true. Where is the band of lads, well dressed, beer in hand, attitude, wall of guitars with relatable lyrics today? Or in fact over the last 20 years? Not saying there hasn’t been any good guitar bands but where is this generations Oasis?
This is Dave at his best. Being able to say to Noel that he met him when Noel was still a roadie with the Carpets, I mean, you can't beat that from an interviewer.
The most concise explanation of why the Oasis breakup he’s ever given! It had 100% run it’s course. The songs had gone downhill and because you could see he got bored and then allowed other members to contribute songs which let’s be honest, no one really wanted to hear!
Personally I don’t like everything Noel has done since, but it’s clear that he has fallen back in love with the craft of songwriting. Good or bad the HFB stuff is far more interesting than the later Oasis albums by miles!
In your opinion
@@kevinnewmarch5716 it’s all opinion
In my opinion too! You're right mate
"The songs had gone downhill"
"other members to contribute songs which let’s be honest, no one really wanted to hear"
Hmmm this is not the words of a fan, these are the words of someone who thinks Oasis is a bad band. Because you're saying all the songs are bad.
@@MoonwalkerWorshiper I’m saying the later songs were not as good. And that the band was in a decline. You can still be a fan and acknowledge the truth!
"Yet here I am" smashing thing for the punters who paid to go and see him to hear eh?
Meh, he's a diva. I think most of them would take their refund & get on with it. No point in going to see Morrissey if he doesn't want to be there
Gear is so expensive these days lol.Anyone want a Les Paul because my £130 Harley Benton consigned it to my attic.
Still handsome!
Cosmic skies😂
Yeah I noticed that too.
I think that's the
Dave Fanning
"Bootleg Version"
😂😂
Glad to hear that he doesn't like to drive.
Why is that? I'm dying to know.
Oasis went on for far too long & had run out of things to say.
Infact when the split happened i thought, "oh, at last. Thank God."
Stay solo Noel & keep moving forward.
Noelle loves to waffle on.
Love that he isn’t one of those weird lefties that’s obligated to talk shit about Morrissey now.
Snarky responses dripping with single mum energy incoming..
@@npc3po301 - 🤣 without a doubt
Morrisey has gone from super left wing to right wing nationalist though. You've got to admit it's a bit weird😮
@@Alex.1739 Why can't he be both? his fondness of England has always been a feature of his writing, I'm left wing (as was) and still love my homeland/ heritage so it's had no problem being mutual to me, it's only our conditioning that allows everything that questions motives or pushes back at things to be called 'right wing', it's become a (deliberate) lazy buzzterm for a spectoral boogieman to villify opposing thought, to squash and shame non-conformism,the left/right paradigm needs to go, we don't operate in blocks, we are all things, saints and sinners, it's time language grew up
@@npc3po301 lol that's a lot of words for "I voted Brexit and was mugged off".
The reunion thing I don't know as long as Liam doesn't get beyond his bullshit mode "Noel should get in touch, he broke up the band at the time" etc. it won't happen. And I have 2 main questions for Noel, 1: Why didn't he release so many good B Sides as A Sides and 2: Why didn't Oasis play Rock n Roll Star back then at the gigs 1995/96 Earls Court,Main Road,Knebworth?! the "signature" song of Oasis ever. How can you "forget" this song, especially at these mega gigs?!
Little dig at Alex Turner and the monkeys saying wearing guitars xnd not playing them. Love ya noel but Alex wrote the new album on piano
This Guy has made a career out of telling us why Oasis split up!
Morrissey the monarchist 😂😂😂
The Irish have a special relationship with the Gallagher brothers. Love how they say the name too.
We know how to pronounce it.
@@215Gallagher I agree
Thought he split from his ex?
The misic is this bar is absolutelu dreadful ' You can just hear Moz say it.
whats going on with the front of his hair?he looks like he has 2 sets of hair goin on there
Is Noel only friends with famous people? Didn't he have friends before Oasis? Every interview is "I was with Johnny Marr the other night...", "I went for a drink with Morrissey last night..."
Bee gees are from new Zealand
They're originally from england and moved to australia as kids.
Chorlton on medlock in Manchester
Born on the Isle of Man
@andyhealey7894 they got around didn't they
Andyheally7894. It's Chorlton cum Hardy actually ✌
Their mum will demand they reunite and they will. Lol Just like how she got them to call each other during Christmas, albeit terse and rather standoffish.
Waffle waffle waffle.
Morrissey is God 🙏
Oasis and U2 are the worst bands I ever heard.Listen to me and forget those professionall bores.
