People can say all they want about Noel Gallagher, if they think he's just a grumpy arrogant twat, but I love him and he's one of the only musicians today that speaks from the heart and is speaking the truth. I still buy CDs in spite of downloading, streaming because there is no better feeling than walking out of HMV or any other music shop with a CD/Vinyl by a band you love in your hand that you've paid for and it's yours to keep for the rest of your life. That quote he says about people rather buying coffees than buying music has stayed with me ever since I first watched this video, cos it does sums up today's music industry and how people just don't value the music 'product' anymore.
Nyolate Liam just needs to get his ass kicked publicly and maybe that'll knock his ego down a peg. Noel.. I gotta say the more I listen to his interviews, the more I like him. He's just bold and not afraid to voice his strong opinions. In fact (excuse me for being bold) I think he's totally fucking hilarious.
Well, if you watch the Supersonic documentary you see that their mother says Noel was always quiet and in his room writing or playing guitar. And liam was a bold kid and really out there. And Noel says that he's like a cat and liam is like a dog and that's why they don't really get on. In other words, Noel is an introvert and Liam is an extrovert
People don't value music anymore because everyone can make it with already made samples in 5 minutes on their laptop. It's made on the cheap, it sounds cheap, it's sold cheap, & it means nothing when you have Jess Glynne repeating the same title line of the track 30 times in a put on American accent. The worst part of this is.. people actually think POP music is good. So that when they eventually hear real genuine music.. they don't get it. Just like how ppl who survive off ready meals & take away can't stand to eat vegetables. We live in shit times.
Oh for fuck's sake, when will middle-aged people stop citing the two hours per week of exposure to the very surface of pop culture they have as EVERYTHING that is going on in the world and proof that their time was better? Yes, one can make "music" that way, but that is not all there is. There is so much music in existence that there is literally something for EVERYONE. There is TONS of good music out there, you just have to look for it. That's part of the reason we hesitate to pay for music, we already went to all the trouble of searching for it. Another reason is that we can hear anything, anytime for free. We don't even have to illegally download it, we just have to go on TH-cam, Spotify, Soundcloud, etc. and type it in. spot on about people buying coffee but not records....I buy records and don't buy coffee....or booze for that matter....you know how much I spend on music? Noel would be proud, and it's a blast!
Fair point on people spending money on shite instead of music, but back when I was 13, it was GTA Vice City that opened up a world of awesome music that I had never heard before and ultimately helped me realise my love of music. So I guess spending £300 on a games console kinda did change my life.
I totally agree about spending money on music. Music is so important, and has such a huge value and effect to and on your life. Coffee is just coffee, who cares if they write your name on the cup with a Sharpie. Even more annoyed right now that I recently lost my 160GB iPod with 3 grands worth of music on. That's right, it's 2016 and I still pay for music. I download my coffee though, yeah the quality isn't as good, but you can just stream it to your face... (Just so people are aware, this is obviously me joking; I just personally believe [and know from my own life experience] how powerful music is, with regards to how it can change your mood, and change how you feel almost instantly; if I didn't have music, then I don't know what I'd do on the days I feel really apathetic/uncaring and/or even "depressed" [PLEASE PAY FOR YOUR MUSIC: PIRACY IS SO UNCOOL and OBVIOUSLY WRONG]. Also, I would just like to add; I am NOT "against Coffee" - I personally really enjoy a nice cup of Coffee [and my Coffee is also paid for...] when I wake up to get me going: Coffee lifts my mood and gives me a "burst" of energy to start me off each day, as Coffee helps me focus and keeps me "energised". Please don't drink too much of it though, as it can cause you problems with anxiety, and it can stop you from sleeping at night. However, I thank YHVH [God] Almighty in Yahshua [Jesus] The Messiah's Name, for Coffee, as it really is something that helps me, and I also really enjoy how it tastes and makes me feel!). Peace and love, TJ x
Yeah, iPods are almost something we "need" as humans. I don't get how people say they store all their music on their phone, why would anybody want to do that?
I so agree! There's something about holding an iPod. I didn't even mind the "thickness" that people complained about. I loved it, it felt solid, like it was going to last forever; or at least a very long time. I'm considering shelling out $300 for a new one on Amazon.

When it’s played & done gone on, it’s the line I’ll attest will arrest my cagey bones: “That will be it then” another epithet, ‘written in water’.... Solid “video” from the lad who’s never been the ‘daft get’ his soul’s bellicosity at said video’s abject existence plays ominously as the cacophonous requiem he fears it as... though I too hear the toll bells ringing when the red light inevitably comes marauding uninvitedly, hastily welcoming itself yet again but so is the life of the known & notable. Noel G as speaker I’d back that a person from the NW whose experienced having nothing and having it all can still see through people’s bullshit. Number one candidate.
Valid comparison of music's value relative to other more common purchases, but I think that it only shows the overlooked enduring value of all the music published up until now.
Covid has introduced to Noel (via Johnny Marr), so I have that to be thankful for. I would LOVE to have a 'pint' with this guy....but not his brother...and neither would he. :-D
6:01 haha, same for me in Amsterdam. People, then bikes, then trams, then cars and trucks… all to have to repeat it all again in the opposite order just to cross the road. After a heavy night with little sleep, which is every night in Amsterdam, that’s a scary thing that has nearly taken me out many times. Oh yeah, the canals. The trauma of nearly falling in those made me forget those. Crazy place. Been 12 to 15 times probably, but yet to get used to it, in fact as hangovers got worse with age, the worse it got. Rest of the Netherlands ain’t like that. Been to Eindhoven visiting relatives who worked for Philips. Same buildings, roads, people etc but normal. Civilised in fact drinking coffee outside in a square, even in winter. Great country though. Always loved my time there.
I liked this interview. He sounds just like a normal guy, but sometimes when he talks about an artist he knows or someone he met, he does sound like it's his first week being famous

Please note though... If you reply in a shorter space of (oooh, I dunno, i'll be nice to you) 7 hours... It'll just confirm my suspicions that you're a nobody in the real world... just somebody at their key board 24 hours a day, believing that provoking a cyber reaction, somehow justifies their existence... Sad sad sad loser..... TH-cam comments (including this one) are just bullshit in reality... No one cares!!!!! I pity the life you must lead, where trolling on the internet justifies as suitable masturbation material.
Haha, you're precious. I'm sorry if you lack the ability to use photoshop m8. If you could, you could shop a girlfriend into your pictures... that might convince everyone that you're not a completely useless tool! A 40 year old virgin, giving it large on the internet! You're some new, modern cliche.

There must be some 40 year old pill heads in here that can confirm it...
I can't stand Oasis but he always has something interesting to say.
*****
I worked in a lot of bars. Drunk lads ruined Oasis for me.
***** a spurs fan AND an Oasis fan. Says it all really.
Yea the band is full of asses and bad sounds. Surprised I'm not the only one to dislike them tho
True that.
southlondon86 all of you are wrong
One of the funniest Noel interviews to date XD
Noel: "People don't value music anymore."
Noel 90 seconds later: "I went home and downloaded it."
Perhaps he might’ve purchased it. Who knows.
I prefer listening to Noel during interviews than listening to his music...and I love his music.
Hmmm, which song by Brian Protheroe?
"Pinball", in case you're still searching for it
What song did he write that was inspired by it?
@ 5:05 LMAO!!! Brilliant. Thank you for all you’ve done & will do Noel. 🍻 Cheers Mate!!🍻... You wear it well Noel, well done Duke🤴🏻, ‘so much to answer for’ now! 😉🤩🧐
Best regards from a lifelong fan, MattyMattyBoomBaLatty by way of The Golden Gates 🌁🌉🌁🌅🌁
🌊🌊🌊🌊Ⓜ️🌊🌊🌊🌊::;::🤠✌🏼❣️
He does look like Parker from the original Thunderbirds.
Better grooming!
@@arricammarques1955 What? Parker had better grooming?
I got to hand it to him, he does speak a lot of sense
Gives some great interviews haha
Noel G as speaker I’d back that a person from the NW whose experienced having nothing and having it all can still see through people’s bullshit. Number one candidate.
He's way too cool to be a dad. Gosh I wish to be his daughter! Lol
Brilliant comment about the music industry, so true.
sometimes when Noel frowns, I see the number 12 between his eyebrows.
steve allen i would like but the fact your comment has 12 likes makes me happy
Wtf I can see it haha
Never a dull moment with ol' Mr. Gallagher!
the slightly cooler and richer version of karl pilkington
Valid comparison of music's value relative to other more common purchases, but I think that it only shows the overlooked enduring value of all the music published up until now.
Morrissey**
What he says about paying for music is so true. Speaking the truth about the music industry globally.
Covid has introduced to Noel (via Johnny Marr), so I have that to be thankful for. I would LOVE to have a 'pint' with this guy....but not his brother...and neither would he. :-D
Always entertaining!! Thank God he is still making music!
Too right about people buying shit for ten quid yet getting angry about being asked to buy an album for the same amount.
Jason Lefler disagree. I listen to 5 new albums a week. I can't afford to spend £2,500 a year on cds thankfully Apple Music/Spotify exists
No one wants the entire album anymore because most of the time the entire album is SHIT!
He has got one hell of a personality. I would be hanging out with him if I was Russell Brand as well.
The morrissey story is so hillarous ...
I could listen to him talk all day.
“How many albums can you but for 500 pound” about 3 vinlys in HMV
They spelled "Morrissey" wrong
I liked this interview. He sounds just like a normal guy, but sometimes when he talks about an artist he knows or someone he met, he does sound like it's his first week being famous
Love noel me
You are absolutely right Noel, and completely honest. Love Russell Brand too, both amazing guys!!!!!
Is there any thing this geeza does like??
Benny Murkers Brian Protheroe by the sounds of it.
manchester city
Benny Murkers
Rock and Roll?
Noel Gallagher
Salt and Vinegar Squares
Seriously, this is the funniest interview Ive seen in years..Go Noel!
I have the same cynicism towards Brand as Noel does. Noel is well clued up but lets on he isn't.
Underground906 I also quite like Noel's deceptively perceptive turn of phrase, but there's nothing original about his line of thinking there.
***** Go on then! I've taken the bait, haha, i'll give you the attention you're so clearly seeking... Give me all you've got, and i'll gladly tear whatever you've got to say to shreds! I'm not even going to mention this video... You're desperate for attention, so pick ANY subject! All you want is interaction with somebody, you internet weirdo, so lets hear it!!
Aww that's cute...
***** your an idiot!
"Bikes and little fellows on clogs." I could listen to The Duke of Manchester all day long. And he'd actually love the Vinegar & Sea Salt Kettle Chips you can get in America.
