Bought this for my daughter's birthday and we read it cover to cover together. It is well written and the illustrations are beautiful. It has helped us to talk though some of the many questions my children ask about early humans. Thank you.

...but, I would remiss for not mentioning that I've been following our mutual human story since I was 7 and wanted to grow up to be an archaeologist, inspired by the finds of the Leakeys, back when those finds were taking place, in the fifties. So, them, you, Spencer Wells, Razib Khan, Chris Stringer and many others have influenced me nearly all my life.

I've watched most of your TV shows since Time Team and follow you on Instagram too... Really enjoy your work and wish you every success in the future! I will buy and read this as I am probably still at or below the children stage at of knowledge on all of this. I must say though that was a good shot of the dorsal venous network of veins on the back of your ✋. I'm supposing they could have been the cephalic vein and the basilic vein..though I'm probably wrong because I am still at or below the children's level on this as well.
That was some build up, I think I just about wet myself with all that atmospheric tension and your excitement. Surely not just for children, those illustrations look stunning. What's the chances of getting a personalised signed copy, there must be a chance. It's always rubbish coming home from holiday, never changes.
Unfortunately Alice thinks we evolved from monkey's. She doesn't believe in a creator God who created humans in His likeness and animals each after their kind.
