@@SlayerMtg yeah, that was Steve. He was killing it until gate 10. I remember I was concerned about gate 10 and didn't have enough points for a winch when I got to it. Luckily I went up it with no problem.
Thanks for posting these up Eric! It was hard trying to get around to see everyone drive. I missed most of these guys driving. Keep doing what you’re doing! 👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you very much. The place was heaven for any rock crawling loving people. The next nationals will be at Logandale NV and the rock is equally impressive. Can’t wait 😊
It was a great event. This year's nationals has been postponed to fall because of the lockdown.. we will see how this craziness will play out. Stay safe
If there are groups in my area Houston has to have plenty! Houston is a nice place! I came down there from Virginia to help clean up after hurricane Harvey
Hi. Class one trucks are closer to everyday driving trucks on the road. Still, they are a bit different than ultra scale trucks/shelf queens because the most of them were built for the performance. If you visit my channel, there are many class one competition videos you can check out. Thanks for watching.
Hi! It is winch cable that was unspooled. It saves a few seconds to pull cable out to reach the anchor point. Some guys have really fast winches and don’t bother to do it. Thanks for watching!
I take great solace that technologies used in our beloved RCs are so perfected on higher levels that we can blow-up enemies of our Republic into tiny pieces with predator drones 10,000 miles away.
Maximum tire size you can run in Class 2 is 4.75". The most popular brands are Pro-Line Hyrax, Super swamper, Ottsix racing Voodoo KRL, Pitbull rock beast tires.
He has front bumper ( also has rear but not required - kind of hard to see). The bumper needs to be wider than frame width. And the body - door to door needs to be wider than the distance of inside of tires. It’s not easy to determine in the video but nationals tech table is known to be very strict that I highly doubt Caleb’s truck is out of spec.
I'd tell dude with the yellow pole to scram lol Awesome rock climbing loved the course ✌️
Best videos of rc crawling yet. Awesome editing filming etc....
Thanks for the kindness! I’m not sure if having more fun driving or filming comp trucks. Haha I enjoy both
Watching rock crawling is both fun and agonizing at the same.
true that
This one was really cool to watch.
Thanks for watching!
This is Great Terrain for a course! Nicely Done!!!
Thanks a lot!
Can you do a video showing info on the trucks as they crawl? chassis, shocks, anything about the trucks please
I'll try to get more info on the trucks. Thanks for the suggestion.
Well done Eric! Orange gates threw me off at first!
The balls were confusing at first lol. But I really liked how they strategically placed boundary markers to create new lines. I think we need practice
CRAWLER75 that one gate u had to dive into and wiggle to get the rear to settle into place was cool
Also gate 10 gave more than a few people trouble. Really challenging design
CRAWLER75 for reals! That poor one guy entered with like a min and got a dnf, he was bummed

I love those rocks! Makes a great area. Some amazing driving out there!
I really like the varied shape and surface texture of the rocks. And they were endless. Thanks for watching.

Thank you Matthew! I missed a lot of awesome drivers as well. Then again, if I had filmed all the drivers, I’d have 8 hour videos per course haha
Excellent crawling competition and this spot is great, I would like to have the same here !! Great video !!
Thank you! Can’t wait for next year’s event!
@@slopppy75 😊👍
Excellent coverage. I should have come to it...Dang!
I never skip work for my hobbies but this is only event I did and will. Totally worth it!
Great video quality. Looks like a fun place to crawl

Body rub on alot of rigs.. most definitely a loss in performance. Epic course!!
Love this show, great competition ever!
It was an awesome comp event. I miss it so much!
What brand crawlers are these, or are they built from the ground up?
Such an amazing event in New Mexico! 🌶

Excellent video coverage as usual, great work guys! Well done 👍🏻
Thanks for the compliment!
What body is it at 29:19? Great videos as always.
Thanks. First I thought that was power wagon but it’s a Willys Pickup. It might be custom body. Maybe someone can chime in?
I found out that it’s a body from Jcpncepts. Either creep or bog hog. They are very similar in style
So awesome brother,,👍🙏
Thank you very much!
@@slopppy75 🙏👍✌🤙
👍big up for drivers👍
Great drivers indeed. So much to learn
Are the gates the same distance apart or does it change depending on the obstacle?
It needs to be 12 inches apart minimum and depending on the course design, it can be as wide as the course designer wants.
@@slopppy75 Thanks for replying. I doubt I'll ever compete but figure it doesn't hurt to try and keep things similar to challenge myself.
I wish there were competitions near me... If there are any enthusiast within a 100 mile radius of Houston please let me know.

Do they have a more scale class or competition?

Are all these guys running brushed?
Hi. Yes I would say most of them are running brushed setup for the best control
Whats the point of that string over the roof i see so often?

What state is that?
It was in New Mexico
Where is this?
It was held in San Ysidro Trials Area in New Mexico.
Is the goal to have the lowest or highest score ?
The lowest score wins. It’s kinda like golf. All the mistakes you make add positive score which is bad
CRAWLER75 understood thank you !
Greats😉💪💪
Thanks!

hi Eric... is that white Jeep with Caleb K considered as class 2? it has no bumpers and wheels are way out of the body...

CRAWLER75 dude we gotta check but I think my bug is wider than my doors...it’s close
Jeff, hmm.. . I might suggest you to check with officials( Scott ) before the next nationals. You could post the pictures on SORRCA FB group too
What body is that white Jeep truck
💪💪💪👍👍
🙏 Thank you!

he's one of the best comp drivers i've seen
