i dont mean to be off topic but does anyone know of a way to get back into an Instagram account..? I stupidly lost my account password. I appreciate any help you can offer me
@Roman Trenton i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm in the hacking process atm. I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Thanks Andy. I like tough gates that a lot of people hit but it is driveable if the drive picks the right line. That would be 4-5-6. Very fun course. And merry Christmas to you too
Chris's custom's RC McAlister. The ticket to the next event is going on sale starting tomorrow. It will be in Logandale, NV. If you look up FAcebook group “RC4WD presents 2020 Las Vegas scale nationals”, all the info you need is there. It is by far the biggest RC scale competition event
rc familia It’s in San Ysidro trial area, New Mexico. It was about 5 minute drive on dirt road to get to the spot. I can’t recall the exact spot so you’d have to ask local to get the info. However there is endless rock with all kinds of different shape and traction. You won’t be disappointed
The red body is custom made. I was told by the builder that he used a lexan body as the initial model for the mold but I have no info on actual brand or process of doing it.
Basically you cutout two slices of pie shape from the both side of the hood - heat the fenders and fold them inward - glue and reinforce it. Google it and you'll find a few examples. Not that hard to do but you need patience because it takes time to cut/file/glue.
@@slopppy75 Thank you for the advice! I sub to your channel and i see so many shaped how i envision it but its tutorials I dont see a lot of. I will definitely attempt what you described. Any info on the rear dovetail? Thanks in advance!
It is actually a key rule for the competition. Every resources( time, reversing, winching and etc ) need to be carefully managed and strategically used during the run. The penalty on reverse forces drivers to think instead of driving carelessly
Ok fair point. Some pure scale aspects (heavy hard body, realistic suspension action, smaller tires and etc... ) have been sacrificed to be competitive. It’s different type of game. In reality, you’re looking for body builder’s physique from a sprint runner.
@@slopppy75 exactly. And it was precisely this style of "scale" that discouraged me and after a long time fighting the good fight, I bowed out of the SORRCA committee ages ago. It's a shame. Scale should be scale and not intentionally compromised to be a thinly veiled comp rig. Oh well. I still build true scale rigs. I just stopped competing.
Actually they are a good representation of true rock crawling rigs. So I guess its scale what exactly? Scale street rigs? No they aren't but scale rock crawlers certainly.
That was awesome! A clinic on how to crawl!!!
Thanks. This bunch of drivers are the best in the country for sure!
Thanks Eric! Lots of fun! Can’t wait for the next one!👍🏼👍🏼
Matthew Romero I know, right? Tickets going on sale tomorrow! So exciting!
The old red body.... pry best looking crawler ive ever seen!!
I agree. Also the same guy built blue willis jeep and it was the most amazing rig in class 1
It b cool if u txt a small description of each truck when they start, make, body ,motor..
Competitor: time judge

I know it’s a long shot but can anyone tell me where I can get that metal peace for the bed that the purple truck has
Be nice to have a invite to some of these comps..

I really LOVE the red hard body. Where could I buy It?

Wish I could find a video on how to dovetail and pinch the Toyota body

Only thing about these comps i dont like is no reversing....what?! Wtf never backs up when they are off roading?

you guys rock!

Thanks for the bump haha

Dude I don’t think Tim progressed 4
I thought that too. But you know that happens from time to time. The judges call at the moment is what matters.
I think he gets his passenger rear through, worst case he could've just gone and hit the gate again.
On second thought, I don't think he did progress it.
“Scale”. :(
Can you tell me why :(
@@slopppy75 Sure. I don't think most of those rigs look realistic. Simple, really. I always build my scale rigs to look like actual vehicles.
