that looks awesome. i have the template from makers supply to make one, but haven't tried one yet. i really like that vaqueta leather you use, it looks really nice and seems to tool pretty well. thanks for sharing
Danny, the leather tools very well. You even get a good burnish when tooling floral and such. I will be buying more of it soon. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I know what you mean. I’ve been needing a belt for quite some time now but have been busy making belts, guitar straps and other items for others. It’s like the construction worker. He’s busy working on everyone’s house but his own! Great job on that knife sheath. I do have a question. Had the leather not been dyed all through, how would you address the bag punch holes? Leave raw? Dye them differently…?
That’s a good question. On bag punch holes that are as visible as the knife sheath I would normally use a Q-tip to touch up the cut edge. I don’t normally do so on belts, as you don’t really notice the color.
What amazing intricate work! And the details of the tooling is amazing. You really have to have your steps in mind as you go so you don’t skip a step !
Thanks for watching and subscribing! My makers mark is from Steel Stamps Inc. they are located in Boise ID. Time Purdy and his team do a great job. When I got my first one created I just had ideas…. He took that and ran. He forwarded a few ideas and that is where my makers mark can from. Have a great week!
Good morning Robert. Great project and great tutorial. Would you mind sharing where you purchased your “maker’s marks”. They look great. Thanks for all you do.
Mike, I purchased that makers mark from Steel Stamps Inc. they are from Boise ID. Tim Purdy is the owner and does the design work. You would be happy with the results!
Love the matched set. The sheath turned out great! I am assuming you are using a Barry King diamond stamp--do you remember what size it is? I like the dimension and balance you chose for your stamp. Thanks much.
I like the diamond geometric. Surprised you don't use the axe head more often. I like that geometric too. A small axe head would look good on belts and sheaths too.
@@InMyBusyLittleShop I bought a smaller one from Springfield, but as you know Berry King makes smaller ones too. Lots cheaper at Springfield. Berry king is best though, as they have the double axe head stamps too, a real time saver. A combo of a double axe head and a single head could make axe head stamping loads faster.
Nice to have a matching set!
It does look nice together

Very nice Robert. Love that diamond stamp/pattern. The antiquing really makes the diamonds pop and the overall dye color great looking.
I do like the combination. I need to make one for myself. I’m always going to work on mine next! lol.

Hey Robert! Another great video! I like the look that the 6 row of diamonds made- seems to have made it look better! Thank you for sharing!
I do think the diamonds look great. Funny that was a last minute tool that I grabbed at the Prescott AZ leather show.
@@InMyBusyLittleShop isn’t that just the way some things go!
@@JoFrostleatherwork A great last minute purchase.
Like 65 Robert. How are you doing? Mr. Garry stopping by from Noel’s Tractors with FULL Support!
Hope you are doing well. I appreciate your support
And thank you for bringing me in your wonderful shop👍
Glad to have you here! I have around 450 more videos….
Turned out real nice. Matches belt too! Like the diamond pattern. Have a Blessed Day Friend! Justin
Thanks Justin. I do think it turned out nice.
Very cool project! I need to make one of those in brown for the knife that Dad gave me many years ago
That would be fun. Take some pictures and measurements. I would be happy to make you one from that.
Hey Robert, would you consider making a video on how to make a rifle case? Love your videos.
I appreciate the suggestion. I do have one planned. Not sure when it will show up. Maybe soon? Thanks for following along!
Looks like a nice belt and sheath! Stick with it my friend!
Thanks! I appreciate you watching and subscribing! I like to have Noel on while I’m working.
Nice little sheath, I love the color and details. It really pops when completed. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks! I appreciate you watching and commenting!
You're a PRO, Robert! Very nice work!!
Thanks! Your comments are too kind. I appreciate you watching!
Absolutely beautiful ❤
Thanks!
Hey Robert. A lot of work went into that little project. It's a sturdy sheath.
There is a bit of work there. The leather will form nicely to the knife.
Thanks great project and lots of little tips along the way for a beginner like me! Can i ask what size pricking iron did you use?
Sure! That is the 5mm set from Weaver Leather. I appreciate you watching and subscribing.

It’s a fun project to learn on.
I Enjoy your videos. Who made your makers stamp?

Very nice sheath 👌🏻i just ordered some stamps from sergey, looking forward to learn tooling,
That’s cool. Be sure to share!
That is some nice work ! Would like to see a picture of the gentleman with his belt , sheath and knife all in place and using them
You never know…. I do tell people to share photos with me.
@@InMyBusyLittleShop hopefully they do!
I will share pictures if they do!

It is a Barry King. It measures 1/2” x 1/4”. I wish they marked all of their tools with a part number. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the additional info, Robert!
You bet!
Great work
Thanks Rick!

James that sounds very interesting. I will have to see if I can find one. Do you have a company or part number that you like?

I will check it out. I like the suggestion
Great work. Only 1 coat of Contact adhesive? Not the normal 2 coats like you do with belts ?
I did two coats. Maybe I edited out my comments???
I may have missed it. I was a little wonky when I was watching the video
Wonky! Good to know.
What is the weight of your mall
That one is a Barry King 24oz. Works for most things. I did recently purchase a 16oz for floral tooling and a 32oz for larger punches.
