0:50 you can see my reflection always on the top panel inside the driver cab. On some videos is very clear. I am not keeping my image a secret, also I am very easy to recognize person and if you see me once, you will recognize me again years later if you see me.
33:52 one of the worst things I hate are box junctions that are placed immediately close to places where it's reasonable that you'd _have_ to stop, but with not a lot of space to clear (in this example, the pedestrian crossing). Also looking at you, Ealing, for putting a box junction with camera at Acton Central, with not enough space for vans to stop clear of it and behind the stop line if the level crossing activates!
Can see the poor quality of car driving, turning, parking in the road and these people creating their own bottlenecks and traffic jams along the Golders Green Road has not changed over the years. Used to put up with this driving the Route 83 on occasion out of the now closed Alperton Garage.
I quit RATP as well :D . I made a video "why I quit buses". I am back to driving lorries. I honestly will like to drive buses, but the managers in the garages always do weird and stupid stuff. As much as I want to work as a bus driver, I don't want to deal with people that don't know the rules of the company they are managing. Edit: They also dislike with passion the fact that I am publicly shaming people that behave badly. Also the Garage managers are very concerned that I use a body camera and in the event of an accident I will have my own evidence, that can be used to prove if I am at fault, but in the case of the Garage managers, to prove what actually happened. You have no idea how much trouble this body camera have saved me. It's not against DVLA or TFL rules, it's not against the Company rules to wear one, but they don't like drivers that have evidence about their own actions and events. If there is a company that wants to do business and not drama I will be happy to go back to work as bus driver and I don't care about the name.
TESL1.10 would you knock on the driver’s door of a underground train because you just didn’t get to the open doors in time? Most bus passengers are opportunistic as they either just wait for a specific route or just see a bus that is headed in their direction. Knocking on vehicles is also extremely rude!!
You say TfL shouldn't spend money on leaflets. Yes and No. Yes it's a waste of money & paper. No because nobody sees those signages on the bus stands. Especially if you're a regular commuter. + 1. You say that ppl should just wait for the next bus. Well we all know that there are still buses around London where they come every 30 minutes/20 minutes and it's even worse on a Sunday. So why shouldn't we just knock on the door just so we spare 20/30 minutes of our lives. 2. What if ppl are in a rush? It's much easier to just knock on the bus door than to be 10-20 minutes late to work etc.
We can see passengers coming towards the door. If the passenger stops next to the door I may open it. If they knock it's distracting and I wont open it. I am no longer a bus driver however. While the bus driver makes his own rules as to who he picks on the bus and where, the request by the TFL to not distract the bus driver and wait for the next bus stands valid. Buses and their schedules are done according to public inquiry done with the people living around the bus stops and other statistics.
@@Not-a-Cockroach Peak. So bc of the driver's own rules I may need to wait an extra 20 mins just bc the driver on a bus route which operates buses every 20 minutes made unfair rules. I don't think you should encourage such harsh behaviours especially to bus drivers which drive on local routes.
@@TESL1.10 follow the TFL rules "if the doors close, wait for the next bus and don't distract the driver as the driver need to depart safely." thank you.
1. London is the world's slowest city for drivers because of widespread 20mph speed limits, analysis suggests. Journeys of 10km (6.2 miles) in central London took an average of 37 minutes and 20 seconds last year, according to location technology company TomTom. 2. Speeding is classed as an offence under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Speed limits help keep people safe. 3. Cars have a lower centre of gravity than busses and much less weight than busses. This makes cars more agile (can takes corners at higher speeds) with better roadholding.. They have a better power to weight ration which makes them more accellerative than busses and generally are capable of higher top speeds.
