@@PremiereGal I use these techniques, I love them! If you use Red Giant, there's Uni.HalfLight transition, which gives your freeze frame a quick camera flash effect. :)

Just a suggestion on lengthening your mogrt (which you’re probably already aware of) - open the mogrt in After Effects, use “responsive design time” to put a protected area on the start and end of the mogrt. Then, in PPro, all you have to do is drag the mogrt to the desired length - the opening and closing will stay the same length, the unprotected area in the middle will lengthen.
Yes, but this video was on frame holds :) Some people don't have AE, but it's a great idea for another tut :)
With the third method you showed, can you get a color shift in the freeze frame when exported into formats other than the .png you showed? I wasn't sure if you'd get any odd color shifts with this method.
I haven’t compared that closely, but I imagine that might be possible with some formats. But I wouldn’t recommend using it to make a freeze frame, just as a way to get a frame to use for a design.

Im confused on your example of freeze framing for the subscriber logo to stay on the screen. If you freeze frame the entire video shouldnt move but in your video the subscriber icon stayed for the duration of the clip and there was still movement. How does that work?

Is there a quicker way to lock all tracks when using Insert Frame Hold? Having to click on every track for fear of ruining the timing is a huge pain in the neck. Not sure why Adobe hasn't fixed that issue and allowed IFHold to only impact the clip and not everything else in the project.
