Very nice video mate, very helpfull. One question. Would it be smart to insert a fuel filter into a sym 125 st? Im talking of those universal ones. thank you
No, you will mess the fuel pressure to the injector and the scooter will run lean. It has a big fuel filter in the mouth of the fuel pump in the tank it's all it needs.
Did you check the valves clearances on the Zontes? Sometimes they can be off from the factory and if the cold starts are not ok, they can be too tight. I have a lot to ride.. My Symphony is on 4000 at the moment.
That zontes was taken apart many times to try to figure it out and no luck, it's just as is and it's our sacrificial bike now because we can't sell it like this.
@@RideWithAlex Sorry, Alex. I am just professionally distorted, because I am fixing industrial machines all day long, all my life. And just tickles when someone have gremlins problems like the Zontes.

Hello Alex. it doesnt really have something to do with the video, but I wanna buy new tyres on my sym jet 14 and i cannot find michelin city grip 2 for 100/90/14 measures for the front tyre. These are the measures written in the scooter book. Should i give up on michelin city grip 2 and buy another tyre or just buy this one but another measure? For example the back tyre has 110//80/14 and I found for bot rear and front. Would it be a good idea to buy 2 tyres like this for both rear and front ? I heard they are kinda the best on the market so that s why i am insisting on them.
You can buy a 100/90/14 that's "made for the rear" and just mount it backwards on the front. When a tyre says it's made for the rear it just means they only give you rotation direction for the rear. If you put it on the front you just have to mount it the opposite rotation direction from the rear.
Its a Sym Service in romania? One question maxsym TL 508 its a good scooter? Have any engine problems this bike? I see in internet maybe water pump problems...Thanks!

Hi Alex, I have 2 questions. My jet14 200's warranty is over, so i started doing my own maintenance. Dealerships here put 800mls of oil in it, however i see you putting in 700. which one's right? the manual has 3 different options but i'm not sure which one applies to my scooter. also, the manual tells you to change oil every 1000kms, which doesnt sound very logical. ive been changing mine every 2000-2500 kms. i'd love to hear your input on this, and would appreciate it if you could point me in the right direction to ensure a long and healthy engine life
I change my oil every 2500km and you never put in a certain amount, always check the dip stick, and you fill the engine to max on the dip stick, you start it up for 15-20 seconds you wait 1 minute and then check your level again and add a bit more to get it to max is it drops down after the startup. That is the corect way to set your oil level. And then on this particular engine I check my oil level every 2-300km and top it off if needed. It's an air cooled engine so depending how you ride it it's normal for it to consume some oil between oil changes.
@@ΑντωνηςΣιανος-λ7σ I don't know, as with any clutch depends on how you use it. Clutches don't have a km life time they have a number of starts from 0 lifetime.
