This mod reminds me a lot of Nterraria, it's an ancient mod that you had to install manually via it's own installer, but it let you create a party system alongside the RPG elements; allowing you to make up to 4 other characters and bring them into your single player world along with you. They fought like npcs, teleported to your position when they were too far away, tried to dodge attacks and it was sick as hell. I played Nterraria 6, not sure if the mod is still updated but it supported the moon lord update last I played it.
Wow, I remember that mod. I think it also had different world types to choose from, as I recall playing in a fully underground world as an antman. Pretty sure it was a version of the mod from before 1.2 but that was so long ago, it's impossible to remember lol. Ancient as you said.
Honestly, a lot of terraria mods feel scuffed in their own ways, for better or for worse. The endgame Calamity fanfiction they briefly delve into, also its lack of balance, is proof to me that every mod is scuffed in its own way, it's just whether you enjoy it overall or not, which is absolutely okay
@@enderfire3379 I think people's judgement of calamity's post moon lord power level is clouded by the pre draedon update numbers, the numbers aren't nearly as big as they used to be and are a lot more normal

it's super nice to see a video on this mod! scuffed is an understatement. my playthrough was wild - my minishark performed better than any other weapon from any point in progression simply because it had so many projectile adding nodes, my golem had its hp set to the integer limit.... just a wild ride. my golem fight took just as much time as the cultist, pillars, and moon lord combined.
I remember playing this mod on master mode thinking "I'll be getting stronger but they won't so lets balance it out" and also go for a true melee run... It became impossible due to skeletron having insane amount of health so I just deleted the mod.
Fr, I just got into hardmode on expert with this on and I'm getting biome mimics spawning with over 1 million health. This is with all the stat options set to low as possible.

*When the 2D RPG Sandbox is now even more RPG:* 😱 It would be interesting to see you covering some "underrated" mods, one I recommend is "AFK's Pets and More" (Despite the title, it actually adds more stuff than just pets) that mod adds really fun items, like an actual skateboard or an arcade machine that you can actually play INSIDE of Terraria. The sprites also look gorgeous and the boss fights are really creative. And for maybe a for playthrough you could do the One Block Challenge, maybe checking a mod like Secrets of The Shadows or Mod of Redemption, or test that Fargo's DLC that makes a crossover between Calamity and Souls (now Eternity Death mode is an actual thing 💀).
The only thing is that Terraria is not an RPG to begin with. It is sandbox adventure with linear progression with obvious power walls that prevent player from being overpowered. For example, Fallout 4 can be called RPG (although it lacks role-playing system in it making any F4 playthrough linear "Leave vault -> Find Shaun -> Press button for big explosion and credits")
I actually tried the mod myself a few months ago; started a melee run where I quickly became a glass cannon with lifesteal - though that may have been due to me poking the configs a bit too much for balance reasons. Second run was a summoner, where I noticed that my summons were targeting passive critters after killing a boss, which meant I ended up dropping the mod to play with other ones. Recently though, I learned the reason why this happens is because critters level up the same way enemies do after a boss dies, and apparently the way minion AI works is it targets anything above an HP threshold - and since the critters leveling up makes their HP go up, it goes past the HP threshold for minions to target them. But if you're not playing a summoner, then this is irrelevant, and mod's pretty fun regardless.
This video makes me wanna go back to playing with this mod. Only reason I stopped was cause I was constantly grinding and it stopped being fun, but then I realize that sometimes, it's the whole point of some games, you just have to enjoy the grind.
It's a real treasure to find a leveling mod in Terraria. Most of the ones I once used are either too old, or aren't updated enough. And this mod even has weapon leveling aside from the usual caveats which is a great boon for mod that add several armories worth of additional firepower. I'll definitely have to take a look at this mod and throw in some feedback to keep it alive!
It's actually *insane* how much content some of these mods add to the game. Honestly re-logic should just hire the people that worked on like Calamity and Thorium.
Another RPG Mod is a secret favorite of mine. Calamity, Fargos, Thorium - of course, most people enjoy those. But Another RPG Mod is one of those mods that many people do not know about.
Weapon Enchants is a scuffed mod that I'm sort of obsessed with. It has an infusion system, allowing you to basically use a copper shortsword for the entire game aswell by infusing higher grade weapons into it. On top of that your accessories as well as armor and your weapon get enchantment slots, in which you can pretty much put anything from extra minion slots, damage reduction, attack speed and even damage type changes. It's quite broken, but allows for really fun builds and you aren't necessarily forced into using a weapon you don't like within your progression, since you can just infuse your current weapon to keep up with the rest.
As someone who made a few mods for some games, I think one of the neat parts of modding is that while big extensive mods are impressive, sometimes something comparatively small and easy to make can be of pretty good enjoyment to the end user. This isn't to demean the developer of this mod, I'm sure they put a lot of work into making it, just an interesting observation on amateur mods in general.

I clicked this video partly because there's a very scuffed mod that's near and dear to my heart. Slay the Spire is an awesome game with really awesome mods, but one massive, labour-of-love-but-so-so-scuffed mod that I adore with all my heart entirely and sincerely is the Duelist Mod. It adds literally thousands of cards vaguely (very vaguely) based on Yugioh cards, and lets you play as Kaiba or Yugi from the anime ... though they aren't the 'character' per se. For those unfamiliar, normally in Slay the Spire your character dictates what deck you start with. The Duelist Mod goes one step further - there are many starting decks that branch off from the Duelist Mod, which also influence the card pools, effectively making it not just one character mod, but somewhere around 20+. Once again, there are nearly 2,000 cards in it, with a wide variety of different deck strategies ... and barely any resemblance to an actual game of Yugioh. Each 'archetype' (yugioh term - collection of similar guys, basically) ends up with two to three new mechanics each, and some of them have more. There are like twenty more new orbs, including an Orb Inversion mechanic that lets you transform orbs into new ones. There are like fifteen new stances. There are hundreds of new status effects, and some exceedingly broken, unbalanced ones AND some really awful, bad ones that suck. The mod is so, so scuffed, but it keeps getting updated and keeps getting bigger and I love it *so* much. I genuinely enjoy playing it, because of, not despite, how weird and enormous it is. Highly recommend it, if you're a fan of scuffed mods and Slay the Spire. Going to have to check this one out too, looks fun!
I remember the last time I used this mod, I got so powerful, that my weapons were doing negative damage because they broke the 32 bit integer limit that is used for HP and damage.

Oh yeah i played with that shit for a while, but when combined with other mods, it will be pretty buggy, like instakill every entity as soon as they spawn due to spawning with negative health kinda buggy.
I made the mistake of trying this mod with Calamity. It was okay at first, but even with default settings it gets horribly unbalanced. Common enemies end up with insanely high HP, and hoards become just stupidly deadly. While bosses can become a complete joke. plus during invasions and such you can gain so many levels it becomes a huge pain to assign the thousands of almost meaningless stat points you aquire. when I hit level 500 and something before moonlord I got fed up.
Does this work with calamity? One youtuber was extremely overleveled and decimated absolutely everything after the golem with the calamity, so I’m wondering if it’s messed up like that or if it was just him. Also, doesn’t anyone know any mods with similar enemy modifiers?
Guns are way too broken cause they get exp quickly and they can have Ascension points perk granting extra bullets per shot. Gun with rapid-fire and few of those perks - annihilating laser. I was combining this mod with Calamity and P90 was completely busted weapon killing anything in seconds due to such extra bullets

I missed a mod called "leveled mod" from 1.3 Tmodloader
Does this work with calamity? One youtuber was extremely overleveled and decimated absolutely everything after the golem with the calamity, so I’m wondering if it’s messed up like that or if it was just him. Also, doesn’t anyone know any mods with similar enemy modifiers?
Guns are way too broken cause they get exp quickly and they can have Ascension points perk granting extra bullets per shot.
Gun with rapid-fire and few of those perks - annihilating laser.
I was combining this mod with Calamity and P90 was completely busted weapon killing anything in seconds due to such extra bullets
the girl in the thumbnail is using quiet's outfit from MGSV
You guys know the video bar shows the most replayed right?...
Is it possible to max out the skill tree? As in everything 100%?
*NOT A SCUFFED MOD, this mod here breaks terraria and i want some of that CHEESE, hand it over*
*this combined with the following mods BREAKS terraria to a new level of too OP nerf it dear RED OH NO THE HERO IS*
*NOW MORE POWERFUL THAN TERRARIA LORE SOMEONE BRING THE NERF HAMER OH GO-*
*How is this broken? i'll explain it all on a video soon :)*
*WHEN? when the mod creator fixes the ui and the crash problems :D*
I have a mod that I think you might want to try out: since you played Fargo’s eternity, you should try out calamity infernum mod. It is quite a challenge and I think you will like it
I wonder if this is compatible with Calamity
I got baited by the thumbnail😢
Says it was last updated october 31st, but im guessing that was october 31st last year? Either way, I hope it sees a a few updates due to increased popularity
it was updated this Oct 31st, as it was ported to 1.4.4! I’m not sure if they added any features otherwise, but here’s hoping!
@@bugboy_Played a bit of it, combined with a few other mods I randomly threw together, and its worked perfectly even with other mods. Though, its a requirement to change some of the settings to be much much lower, at least, when combined with fargos enemy modifiers. A bat spawned with over 20k health ;-; though I was really unlucky there
How did you get your hp/mana/exp bar to sit so perfectly in the corner, mine just ends up awkwardly floating on the side of my screen fusing with its own buttons.
