What a great duo! I think for this game it really was a difference in IQ in beach. Crabb showed his IQ in beach by targeting the weak areas. Sanders had good IQ but, his play style is still like 6s. Which is not a bad thing but for more experienced beach players, the idea of pick and choose and being patient is key to winning. Sanders also had some killer jump serves that got them back in game 2.
I definitely see the duo coming together and working with each other better 100%. Sick 2nd ball spike set to crabbs just to dink it deep corner.
For the other team, they definitely needed tougher serves to throw sanders and crabbs game off. Most of the time it was dimes to each other while the other team were scrambling a bit more than them.

I think he was really just 'blocking' the angle so he would force Budinger line or towards Crabb, and which it worked. Whether if it was his intended goal, or his mistake for being out of position, i dont know lol... he does the same thing again at 14:18. I think it was intentional.

Really a bad idea to target crab. Crabb is rock solid in side out. Sander on the other hand swings every time, much easier to defend against him, plus his touch isn’t beach quality yet.

Sander also passes nails and hits the hell out of the ball and Crabb sets sauce so good luck targeting Sander.
Think I would serve Crabb and not think twice about it. Troy’s defense isn’t exactly FIVB caliber yet.
