I love The Bronx. I was born in Manhattan New York but, I was raised in the Bronx. I moved from New York to Hertford North Carolina in the country. I moved to Philadelphia and I now live in Darby Pennsylvania. I pray 🙏 that I get financially blessed to come back to New York City 🏙️ (The Northeast Bronx or Queens).

I remember when I was in high school, I told kids I'm moving to The Bronx and they told me I'd be killed in a second. In reality, The Bronx, as well as the rest of NYC are more open minded as I was picked on for liking rock music. Besides hip-hop being born in The Bronx, 1950s doo-wop band Dion And The Belmonts were from The Bronx, you heard their songs in some movies. Thrash Metal drummer Charlie Benante of the band Anthrax is from The Bronx too.
If you're going to show people the Bronx especially with hip hop started, you have to show them the South Bronx. You're up in the north Bronx the good area. That area always has been nice in the 60s 70s and 80s when the Bronx was bad.
Wow...I see some single-family houses there. I wouldn't have thought they had any in a place that large and densely populated. I've only been to New York once, but I wasn't in this part of it.
You pretty much driving around the middle class areas. Hip-hop did not start that part of the Bronx. I know exactly where your driving around. You started off in Coop city and ended up in the Pelham parkway, allenton section. and then a little bit of parkchester. Try going more south. Lol

Fort Apache is a small area close to Simpson St. Station & vicinity. The real Fort Apache police station is no longer there. It's been relocated to Longwood Ave & Bruckner Blvd. The neighborhood is still rowdy and dangerous.
