I had a guy do this to me face to face. He milled my entire deck and said good game. I had a creature that I could untap then on upkeep have it use its tap ability to deal the remaining damage to them. As soon as he got my final card from my deck he got up and reported him winning. The judge came over to me with the second place prize. I told the judge that the game wasn't even over and that I was going to win. I explained to him how and he called the guy back. The judge had me do my turn and the guy flipped. They gave me the first place prize and the guy started throwing chairs screaming that I bribed the judge and that I was clearly cheating. My cousin used to be extremely (probably still is a little bit) salty with mill when our other cousin was milling him. His point was "You just milled X card, that would have been a totally different game if I wasn't milled there." My point is, "Dude, you just used evolving wilds. This game literally changed to a new variance when you did that." Your opponent could have shuffled your deck 1 time, 3 times, 5 times, ect before giving the deck back to you before the game started and you hadn't even drawn a single card yet. Your deck is completely random. Don't get sad that they hit some good things, there is the same chance that the card was second from the bottom.

See, this is my only regret about switching to MTG Arena. I had this sort of thing happen to me a couple of times on MTGO and it always made me laugh. Plus, the opposite is true, you sometimes meet some really nice people and have a pleasant chat as you play. Arena is the more user friendly format for everything except player interaction.
I haven't played MTGO but I do play Arena once in a while. My best friend got me into it and we played against each other a few times. He ended up exporting my deck so he could use it against his other friend lol. He warned me of a weird algorithm and I didn't believe him, at first. After winning 3 games, I just quit the game. The weird algorithm- It seems the game gives 2 or 3 lands in an opening hand based on a win/loss ratio. Forfeiting is counted as 'neutral' towards the ratio. After 3 wins, the opening hands start to dwindle or explode on lands. From 2 or 3 to 1 or 2; or 4 or 5. When it dwindles, it doesn't give land draw for 2 or 3 turns. If it explodes, it gives land draw for 2 or 3 turns. Mulligan seems to flip it- started with 1 land? Now you have 5. Started with 5, now you have 1. We may be wrong and that's okay. Would be better if we were wrong. But computer systems don't use 'random' as there is no actual way for them to use 'luck'. It uses ratios and algorithms. Number of lands, win/loss, spells, and dice rolls are all based on ratio; all of that gets put into an algorithm that every player is a part of in MTG Arena (possibly MTGO). For random dice roll generators, exclusively, the ratio is reset. Meaning that rolling a 20 five times in a row, on a 20-sided die, is possible but set into the algorithm. As for the rage, I would put that towards the 'randomly generated cards' before the opponent.
Perfect another person making up everyone's mind for them 😅. Why on earth can't we have a chat for those who want and also have the options to turn it off or add profanity filters and other features for those who don't or want it with some restrictions. On top of that, you saying ppl who want to chat are whiney and to "get tossed" 😅... it's ironic, you are part of the problem 😂.

Haha. In all seriousness, MTGO matches play a bit more unrealistic compared to paper magic with the same exact deck. Randomization and mana curves seem much better digitally than with a real deck. There's something about having to shuffle an actual deck that cannot be replicated digitally.
None of the rages had justified responses, but I do despise milling. It's a trash game mechanic and I want to slap WotC for emphasizing it in its game. "Oh, I have zero cards to draw, guess I lose. Glad I got to play the game." It's so arbitrary and stupid.

As someone who loses consistently, you learn the zen art of not giving a fuck. Yes I make jokes about blue control and lucky top decks but seriously the privilege is playing not winning. It's a expensive hobby that people can't afford to play so people need to chill when they lose.
Oh and straight into seeing the hedron crab responses. I struggled against them for about 3 days before I just started burning opponents faster. That's kind of how the game works. You lose, you learn.

While in MTG i don't take the game super serious, like I play elemental tribal mostly in historic, Even in other games that i do play competitively I always think "yeah my opponent probably has similar unluckiness streaks just like I do" though I would be inclined to say "hey somethings up" if my opponent is getting insane luck, like for example someone's in top deck mode they have 3 risen reefs on field, a panharmonicon, 1 lotus cobra they have 3 mana on field (probably because of land destruction of sorts), and they need like 8 mana to play a card to win the game, so they top deck the 4th risen reef cast it, get 8 triggers, and proceed to top deck 8 lands. so if something is just so outrageously rare i'd probably say "you sure you didn't cheat?"
