Yup, I just can't wrap my head around people leaving doors/windows unlocked.
Trusting her gut, twice, saved her life.
1. Taking the longer route home, unexpectedly bought her valuable time
2. The instinct to run out of the bathroom saved her life.

@@applepieclub5012 I'm usually all for suspending disbelief because it's obviously more fun that way, but this amy story breaks immersion on so many levels. He was outside her house and the police went to his house instead? This guy assaulted an officer successfully and beat him down to the ground and then ran away? Police dont go into these situations alone. And let's not forget he was supposed to be right outside the bathroom door when she ran out. And the fact that if someone took the picture from a car while driving by , it wouldn't be such a clear photo, even with a lot of high end cameras. Could've been a good story if they didn't make these obvious errors

That story reminds me of that one time where in the 1920s an old man fell in love with a young women soon died and he took her corpse to a new home and started cleaning her and sleeping with her. 😥

I feel bad for Amy and I'm glad she's okay, but if you think you've got a stalker sitting outside in the dark you have no sense leaving any door unlocked.
Humans do make mistakes, even more so under immense pressure. Leaving the back door unlocked was very clearly a mistake.
Right every girl ik that lives in a rural community would have shot him coming into their home after stalking he got lucky.
I don't want to judge her but leaving a door ajar after smoking a cigarette sounds like something a drunk person would do. Maybe the stress made her drink more than she normally would.

she'd seen that the cops were there. she probably felt safer than she had since it began, so she let her guard down.
A small detail about Anatoly's story is that when he was younger,about 10-12 I think,he was walking through the cemetery when suddenly 2 big men pulled him aside and told him to come with them and that they'll give him an apple(i think). He obeyed and went with the 2 men. They arrived at a random place in the cemetery where there was an open casket with a little girl about his age. She was dead. The girl's mother came and told him to 'kiss her daughter'. Anatoly didn't want to do that but the mother came and sat besides him and told him that if he does it she'll give him apples and that they won't bother him again. He was hesitant but eventually agreed. As he leaned down to kiss the girl,he suddenly stopped but one of the men forced him down. He eventually kissed the girl and the mother gave him a ring saying that he is now married to her daughter. He didn't think much of it and just went back home,but after that incident he kept having nightmares about his 'wife'. She told him each time that he 'should come with her' and that 'they should be together forever'. One night,the girl told him in a nightmare that if he wants to get rid of her,he should get someone's tooth and do some sort of ritual. He somehow got a kid's tooth,and did just that,and from then on he never saw her again.
There's a lot more to his story,but I won't be writing it because this comment is getting way too long. I read this incident a pretty long ago so I apologize if I forgot or didn't get some details right.

This might have been a “marriage of the dead” a uncommon slavic ritual based on the idea that an unmarried girl might not rest in the grave, so they would be “married” to a passing stranger.
second one so creepy, can’t imagine how it must’ve been losing you daughter at such a young age and then being traumatised again knowing her body was taken out of its resting place and used like this.
The rage I'd feel, if he had did that to my deceased child, would be immeasurable.

I completely agree but hearing the ending at least made me feel a bit of sympathy it’s still completely fucked up but at least there wasn’t any malicious intentions but more of a deranged psychotic who wanted to save kids who died at a young age yk
I don't know how I would feel personally. As much as i would feel rage and disgust and a whole mix of other things. But, as a mum, I can't imagine how I would feel knowing a mentally ill man had genuinely attempted to bring her back. Even knowing he's misguided and crazy I feel like I would have to empathize with the want to bring her back.

That is a thing. Most of them usually starting with the "Russian Sleep Experiment" pic with the one that looked like it ate some of itself. And turns out its just a Halloween prop with a filter.
The doll story made me sick to my stomach. I just can't imagine how these parents felt! Not only did they lose their young children, but they had to go through the knowledge that their bodies were being exploited in such a sick way!

My sister has dealt with a few stalkers similar to Amy. For one, they didn't know where she lived, they would follow her from work but she knew not to lead them home. She called a friend to meet her on the road. They were able to get behind the stalker, and get a license plate then went to the police station. He drove off but they had his tags. After the cops talked to him he wasn't seen again.
Another was a little crazier, he got her number and would text her threatening self-harm if she wouldn't be with him and even though the cops talked to him, he kept stalking. Her solution, she drove to the middle of nowhere a stretch of dirt road with a hiking trail at the end. She got out and went on the trail. Sure enough he followed her down the road and down the trail. There, he was ambushed by a team of army guys, one of her friends and his buddies. Guns drawn, fists thrown, threats made. They took a picture of him, his ID, license plate, VIN number, pulled info from his phone on him and his family. Insurance info if he kept it up, there was no hiding. That ended it.
Wow...and this is how you deal with a stalker.

Yo, I actually wrote an essay on Anatoly, and the bit about "I kissed her once then again then again", was actually in reference to his childhood when he was forced by strangers to kiss a dead girl, with the mother of the girl trying to give the girl a wedding, as an attempt to give her something she was never able to have

Lazy masquerade covered the second story a while back in a little more depth. I don't think he had any sexual interest in the bodies, it was more out of a bizarre sense of compassion. He had a fascination with dead children and believed he could save them and bring them back to life. Obviously his behavior was bizarre, but he didn't do it to torment the parents or be some kind of monster.

My bf and his friends always laugh at me for instantly locking my car or doors as soon as I enter or exit and because I bought security bars for my windows. I also never leave the blinds or curtains open. Hearing things like this only convince me that there can be such a thing as a healthy dose of paranoia.
I don't understand people who don't. And caution and common sense are not paranoia. Think they are is a big part of the problem.
You're being smart, and just taking reasonable measures to your own safety. If anything I see it as admirable. I have paranoia and take safety seriously. Even with my brothers joking about it everytime I remind them of locking entrances. Reminding my mother to turn the cameras on. I check everyday, night and day, and lock them up if open. Our area is on the moderate side of drug use. Anything is possible and can happen. I love them and do not want them to be harmed in anyway.
@@snakeoi8189 obviously i have no idea how "safe" the area you live in, but everytime i hear about something really bad, or tragic happening its always in a neighborhood or city, people say "so peaceful, everyone is so kind there, we're shocked!" if its as simple as locking a door or checking that its locked, it shouldn't be considered paranoia and shouldnt be mocked. doors are designed with locks for a reason. I personally think its stupid to not make sure that your home with your loved ones and your personal belongings is locked and as safe from intruders as possible.

Story 3: A small town is a great place to start a new life, it’s also a place where someone could easily take it.
This is why you meet a date you meet online in PUBLIC PLACES the first handful of times you meet them; or after you get to meet a friend or two of theirs as well. You can tell a lot about a person by the type of friends they keep. Wait until you know for sure the person isn’t a lunatic, and is who they say they are.
Also, def recommend having a firearm, pepper spray, a taser, anything that can be used in self defense. Hell even a dang knife. That’s what I keep in my center console…
Times are getting more and more dangerous out there, everyone is on edge and people everywhere are losing their minds. You can NEVER be too careful. Be safe everybody.
Nothing better than watching mr nightmare before sleeping
Story: I was watching one of Mr. Nightmares videos and all of a sudden I got an alert saying a police officer had been shot and injured by some man that they described Bald head, a black beard, and visible tattoos on his neck. I didn’t think much of it because they said it was over on the other side of my town. But then I hear pounding at my door. (Keep in mind I’m home alone at this time) I thought it would be one of my friends wanting me to come outside to play basketball or something. But my front door has a window on it so I could clearly see who it was. I felt my heart skipping beats as I saw the man that same alert described. He was bald had a long black beard and he had tattoos on his neck that were very visible. I didn’t know what to do. I tried to ignore the pounding until it stopped for about 5 minutes. Then things got worse this time. There was pounding again but this time it was at my bedroom window. I felt my heart sinking I didn’t know what else to do other than go to my backyard and jump a couple of fences until I felt a little bit more safe. And then I heard footsteps and there he was climbing the same fences I was. So I ran as fast as I could to a place where he was out of sight at least I thought he was out of sight. I had enough time to call my mom and tell her what happened. She called the police and was getting home as fast as she could. But I was still at that same place and there he was again. Looking at me from a long distance away I took off running in the other direction back home. There was some officers there and I explained what happened. They went to the exact spot I was and found the man hiding in a drain. The man got arrested and the cops kept questioning me while the man was in the backseat of a cop car starring me down like he wanted to kill me. Now it’s hard for me to sleep at night. I never thought something like that would ever happen to me. Well I’m just glad he’s now behind bars and can’t do anything else.

I really hope these are true. As an adult who officially beat all his fears to death. It’s very hard for me to get scared or creeped out. The only thing that gets me now is shadows that I see, but nothing is there. These videos definitely have me closing the blinds in my room.

Amy’s story freaks me out. My family went on a vacation to Texas, to visit my aunt and go to Galveston. My aunt lives in the same area Amy lives in, and when we were around that area on a freeway from Houston there was this white pick up truck following our vehicle. It was a man that looked like he was in his 30’s, he kept staring at my mom and followed us for miles. My parents didn’t freak out, because they probably didn’t wanna freak us out, but I was a little shook. He followed us everywhere we went, we pulled into a rest stop so my dad could use the bathroom, and right when we pulled in, the white truck pulled in with a rush and ran over the curb on the passenger side of the car, where my mom was sitting. He looked directly at her, but didn’t get out because he saw my dad. I know he saw me in the backseat, same with my siblings. I had a major gut feeling something was wrong. I could see it in my moms eyes, too. When my dad was finished we pulled out of the rest stop and headed back to the freeway, where we continued our journey. I could tell my dad was trying to get away from him, meanwhile he was still chasing us down the freeway, always keeping himself in sight and was always behind us. He then sped in the lane next us and then pulled infront of our car. I then took a picture of the white truck, which I still have. I then spotted a black car pulling up behind us, and then I got pretty freaked out. My dad pulled into the next lane and sped off. Eventually, after about 50 miles, we got both cars out of our sight. Who knows what would have happened.. this is a true story. March 2021, if that helps.

Omg I heard of the guy from the 2nd story! To this day it still creeps me out how he was able to get away with that for so long. His eyes look so dead. I'm still wondering how the police or his parents didn't notice something off about those dolls. They look like skinny humans wearing doll masks.

The Anatoli case always creeped me out. How could anyone dig up a grave, Rob the body and mummify the corpse!? If that wasn’t bad enough, Anatoli would then dress them in inappropriate clothing and paint up there faces with make up, only to do God knows what with them. I have a pretty difficult time believing that his parents had no idea what he was up to. His room was damn near wall to wall filled with these creepy mummified corpses. Good old Anatoli was a pretty sick guy for sure.
