the automatic transmission speed is switched when the vehicle stops at 0. you switched from R to drive "D" when the car was moving backwards! this is wrong! this ruins the transmission
I heard the A5 Sportback is faster however the Arteon drives really smooth, and feels more than adequate power wise. I noticed it pulls the hardest in 3rd and 4th.
@@jameskrey3485 I owned an Arteon. From a dig, stock on stock the A5 has faster acceleration due to launch control. From a roll very even. The Arteon FWD is possibly faster. Yes, 3rd and 4th gears are the most powerful. I also had an APR stage 1 tune. It had excellent acceleration. Can't imagine how good the FWD version with 300 lbs less would accelerate.
@@DMCarReviews I actually just took mine to the drag strip yesterday, and with using its “poor mans launch control” (esc sport + brake boosting), it was a whole different animal

All this car has going for it are the exterior looks. Interior seems very stark, seats look too firm, and it doesn’t seem like it is worth the price. Probably why I have only seen ONE since they have launched it. I bet a Grand Touring Mazda 6 is light years ahead of this thing as far as comfort, interior materials, & bang-for-your-buck.
The interior on the Arteon is excellent. Seats are nice and supportive. If you are talking about stark and poor builds, go look at a new M340i. One of the worst materials are used in the door panels and lower dash. The Arteon feels like a luxurious car in comparison.
You get a Golf R engine...an AWD setup, lots of space, and comfortable ride. I'm sure people pay 50k for a base ugly 3 series and don't mind. Don't see why this beauty can't be 48K.
It's a very poorly executed test drive. First of all you made the mistake in the trunk and then continued in the rear seats, and when driving you proved that you do not care about the car. Without getting upset, it's just my opinion.

Beautiful car, but that inline 4 sounds so strained under heavy acceleration. I'd rather it was a V6.
The v6 would be slower and get horrible mpg

To me the exterior is not that impressive. I dont know but it looks too bulky.
