The Kingdom of Faramore is beautifully realized by Rob Dunlavey, the artist behind the world map paintings from the games that inspired Arzette. Plus! voiceover talent from the games that inspired Arzette return to lend their charm to this adventure, including Jeffrey Rath and Bonniejean Wilbur!

I also think that the shop guy is Morshu's actor, or at least its a damn good impression.
Nonetheless it's still impressive me that they got the two back after the two Zelda CDI games in 30 Years.

I really hope when you fight Daimur, you attempt to throw a single item at him to kill him and he just slaps it out of the air, forcing you to actually fight him.
Then once he’s beaten you throw the item at him again and it works.

It took me a bit longer than it probably should've to realize that the name "Seedy Eye" was picked because of what it sounds like... but I'd recognize that voice saying "good" anywhere!

@@Antasma1 The game is an homage to old Zelda and Mario games for the "CD-i" console by Philips Electronics, which later became famous on TH-cam because people found re-editing their animated scenes to be funny. Bonnie Jean Wilbur was the voice for Zelda in those games, and is the person who said "good" in the trailer.
The fact that this exists at all, let alone clearly exists in such an excellent quality, brings hope to the world.

It took 30 years, but now we've warmed up to the "Animation Magic"'s style
At first we laughed at them, now we laugh with them.
I always kinda liked it, it reminded me of children's drawings.
It always as been the best part of the CDi games.
Give that dingo pictures existed. I developed a newfound appreciation for animation magic style.
The animation had some great body language, I can say.
I can tell that this game is going to be popular among the YTP community. And I do not see that as a bad thing.

This is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. The ytps of the CDI Zeldas were my childhood, and seeing them embrace the memes with the goofy style, but actually having good looking gameplay is amazing. This might be the first time in forever I buy day one. I can't believe the little gags and references actually had me geeking out over a meme game.

But jokes aside, this looks fantastic! The sprite work looks great, the world and backgrounds look gorgeous, the gameplay looks fun and fluid... and the characters look really wacky and weird in a way that not only really brings back memories of the Zelda CDi games, but also makes Arzette herself really stand out! She's definitely drawn and animated in a starkly different style, which I bet is on purpose, almost like she's from a completely different world, and I love how she's a little weirded out by the other characters, much like how we are as well!

The last thing I was expecting today was a CDI Games Spiratual successor... And one that actually looks fun to play TOO.
I love how instead of improving the cutscenes' artstyle, the game kinda just embraced the memes and just kept them the same from back then, and kinda gives the YTP community more material in the process as well.
It honestly just makes this better and more of a Curveball. The fact this thing exists is a massive curveball in the best ways possible for me.

I remember Simon Belmont could do that in Super Castlevania 4. Though, he can't do it in Smash Brothers Ultimate.
This looks fantastic, it's almost scary how accurate this is to the original CDI games. Also, is the voiceover done by Link's original VA? It sounds a lot like him!

This is genuinely bringing a tear to my eye.
CDi YTPs is just about the first thing I remember actively following after I started using the internet sometime before 2010, so seeing someone making a game based off of these now cult classics is making me so happy.
Getting the original Voice Actors from the Zelda CDi Games is the surprise desert on top of this already wonderful dinner serving!
The fact that I'm more hyped up for this than for the latest 2D Mario shows just how much Zelda CDi memes and YTPs formed an integral core of my tastes.

Not gonna lie.
I kinda want this, though I may need to come back to it when I'm a little, MMMMMMMM, richer.
On the one hand, it's INCREDIBLE seeing a CD-i Zelda/Mario inspired game in todays modern age, I genuinely hope that this game learns from the aspects that made Wand of Gamelon and The Faces of Evil (and also Hotel Mario) both iconic and improves on the good parts of them.
On the other hand, while the thought of this game being another CD-i level disaster does sound extremely funny, I genuinely hope they don't fumble over being "LOL WACKY" and are able to actually do something compelling with their story. We want the charm of the CD-i Zeldas, not the monotonous gameplay of them...

I mean, the game looks like it runs pretty well in the footage. compared to how bad the characters move in the original game
@@BlazeHeartPantherplus one of the biggest hurdles for the cdi games was the retarded idea of having *down plus a* be the *open menu* button combo. As long as they avoid that kinda button mapping it should be fine.
There seems to be sufficient clues in this one to where the ground is and what is foreground vs background so I'm hopeful
This game's existence is simultaneously hilarious and awe-inspiring. And it looks genuinely fun too!

What an interesting coincidence. I just happened to play the originals last week. They were both utterly hilarious messes, but I found myself having legitimate fun with them. I'm actually genuinely interested in this.

As someone who watched many Zelda CDi/Hotel Mario YTPs, this game looks like a lot of fun. They even got the original actors for Link and Zelda in the games. This is peak gaming right here

This is unironically one of the games I'm most hyped for this year, I can't friggin' wait.
I feel like there's a lot of love put into this. Besides the obvious things, there's the actual ingame sound effects straight out of the CD-i Zelda games, the Hotel Mario gameplay with the doors, and I'm sure there's more subtle stuff I missed in the trailer...

This is beautiful. I want this!!!!!!!!!!! As the goof that originally recorded all Faces of Evil cutscenes back in the day for the YTP community, this game holds a lot of weight. I need to play this. I love that hotel mario is even referenced here! Just be aware, I can almost guarantee you that there will be YTPs of this.

Never in my life did I expect someone to make a game inspired by the CD-i Zelda games and have some of the people that worked on the original involved as well.
As someone who watched and enjoyed quite a bit of YTPs back in the day, I'm definitely going to check this game out.
It'll be funny because the CDI meme gang can have Link accidentally end up in this game instead of Gamelon.
After the remakes of two of the CD-i Zelda games, this feels like the perfect companion. I love how some of the sound effects even sound like the ones used in those games too.

I never played the original CDI games, but the video content using the cutscenes and characters is what i believe helped immortalize the two games. Seeing a game that returns to that unique style of art and modernizing it is really nice.

I love this! This looks amazing!
As somebody who unironically loves the Philips CD-I and it's library, this game simply hits home so hard! There were so many references and call-outs to not just the side scrolling Zelda games on the CD-I, but to the system itself, the music was the same style, the voice actors I believe are the originals and it even had a Hotel Mario mini-game/section.
I don't know who asked for this, but whomever it was, THANK YOU!!!!!!
