- Upgrades! Upgrades and Upgrades :D Since I am keeping the car stereo setup, why not make it awesome? In this video, I vlog what upgrades I have done on the system, got a new set of JBL component speakers, set of speaker boxes, polyfill, sealant and some resin adhesive.

Could you run something like an amplifier dyno test on the sony amplifier to check how much rms it is actually outputting before distorting
Can you get infinity reference series components instead of buying another pair of these(gto) and compare them?
Jbl gto 609c rms is 90w and your amp is 70w, is that okay ?

Would like advice on this project.. Thinking of picking up the very same psu to power a car amp, its only being used to power a sub. The thing is the amp has 35A fuses.. Will there be any complications? Should i try to find a psu with higher amperes? Please help, dont want to damage my amp.

Hey dude, last year I got this system dismantled and moved it to my car, the guy at the shop set the amp up and tuned it according to what he felt was right, so I have no idea what he has done. My front speakers are the same, jbl 609c with tweeter and rear ones are from Pioneer, without tweeter. Rear ones are powered by head unit because we are using one channel for subwoofer, so all have have different settings, but this speaker amp combo is great, for me it sounds far better than original stereo. If you got it installed by someone, tell him to tune the amp properly, it will sound really good and crystal clear.

Yes absolutely! You can use the EQ head unit when these speakers are connected to an amplifier.
Tech Guy Charlie So when i change the bass and treble in the head unit the speakers connected via power amplifier will also respond to same sound settings i have done in head unit right?

Yeah, bro, but please get the CX version instead of VS, CX is more reliable than VS in the long run.
Buy MEANWELL power supply of 15v ... that willl be great and cost effective.

Sony 1800w sub is of 420 RMS @ 4ohms. Connecting 2 sub that means in parallel mode (left,right) will work @ 2 ohms with 840W (420+420w). Sony Mono GS100 gives 600 RMS @ 2 ohms. You will able to use them without any issue. But now your combination of 2 sub will be underpowered.
How many subwoofer are connected in 4 channel amp.
Max 2 subwoofer in bridge mode. If you are using a high-end subwoofer you need a Mono amp.

Sony GSM4 gives 70RMS per channel or Pioneer 6704 gives @ 60RMS per channel. The Sony 1004 is a waste of money.
