So after crashing my B7 passat, I was after a new daily. I decided that the reason I love daily's is because they're so cheap that I don't really care about them. So... I found a really cheap B6 Volkswagen Passat 2.0tdi highline which has a few issues and needs some love, so that's what this series is gunna be about. Sorting out the issues, making it look good, and turning it into the perfect daily... all for under £2500.

Yooo Boq don't know which engine it has and you may already know this, but be super careful with the oil pump drive key on these wearing and then no longer pumping oil (especially on the BKP, CBAB, CBBB engines) - usually after 100,000+ miles they're bad enough to blow up the engine suddenly; it's like £10 for a replacement key and peace of mind. Guess who's big end on their B6 Passat went after a lack of oil a couple of years ago...
Know this is old but for anyone coming to this video later. the issue he’s talking about is the v6 engines the Tdi and 2.0t models are a little more consistent in my experience car in video is a TDI.
2.0tdi BMP was the best one

b6s arent the most reliable money can get, if you can find one for cheap with a full service history but dont mind the rougher condition it might be in i'd go for it. also watch out for hard rust.

From one b6 estate owner to another, I had the same issue with the door lock, it fixed itself 😂 also electric window issues 😂 looking forward to the budget build 👍

Love a budget build... whees, lowered, dpf delete, remap - job done!
For the window, check the wiring that goes from the door to the frame of the car (will be inside some rubber trunking) usually it splits or actually snaps some of the cables inside
Whatever you do just don’t be tired when you drive the pissrat 2 and plus the budget daily build is gonna be sick and I’m looking forward to what it’s gonna look like after

Check the wires that go from the car to the door. My dad used to have a b7 a4 avant and his was the same with the windows. It turned out to be two wires touched together and would just ground out. Another great video as always👍🏻

Yessss bro! Like it. The car will keep locking cus the door module is gone doesn’t know you’ve opened it... or if your lucky it’s cus your opening with inner handle... my Ibiza did it costs like £100 for new module though
