The cause he was fighting was more important to him in the end than hawk..I think..cause he lost so much time already so maybe in the end he wanted to do the right thing..also he didn't knew that Lucy left hawk so he might have thought it would be best for hawk to go home😢

Hawk would have tried to protect Tim from protesting too strenuously as it could throw him into another seizure. Tim wanted nothing to hold hm back in this last soul fight.

It's possibly because the actors, and most of the filmmakers, on Fellow Travelers are actually queer themselves. So much queer content suffers and feels inauthentic because it's people who don't know our experiences playing the roles and writing the parts.
They are really remarkable and unforgettable. The story cuts, but is truly beautiful. Tim wanted to help Hawk go home to his family as a last act of love for him now that Tim had some strength back. Hawk helped him to have that strength. Tim then wanted to dedicate his last days to helping save others through ACT UP as it was forming to fight AIDS. I Love this series so very much.

Great work. Happiness is such a beautiful song and it fit very well with Tim & Hawk's journey. Fellow Travelers is such a great show probably the best LGBTQ+ show in decades.
I’m now around to the idea that Tim gave way when he would .. but wouldn’t when he could … e.g. the “Arthur” thing was so flimsy as a writing idea .. the show has so many might-have-beens. Meanwhile, it’s put a slow-burning match under my backside in terms of my ever going to stop making notes & notations and just take my own ideas re male gay themed stories and get the hell to actually write. Scary.
