I’ve never thought I’d see fan vids for a political period piece like “Fellow Travellers” but I guess so many people appreciated Tim and Hawk’s love story so much, it’s like, how could there not be. I’m enjoying seeing so many of them pop up.
Hawk prided himself being bulletproof, but when it came to Tim, Hawk still was at times but he let go off his defences and was vulnerable. Tim was one of the few that changed him. Their love story has captured my heart. I love this video, the song and title fits them just right. Thank you for this ❤️😍🤩

That’s an impressive list :D I think I was at episode 2 when I realized I could start choosing songs left and right from Midnights and the other recent albums too. So many of these songs work perfectly for them so it’s more of a question which songs are the best of the best. I now listened to Happiness and you are right.😭 I can never commit to something without first starting it and seeing how it goes but I feel like that one is definitely worth a try.
I refuse to watch the last episode yet am not ready...but frm clips here and there,why did Hawk out Tim to the government??can someone please tell me?❤
I'm guessing you might have seen it by now, but I'd say it's up to interpretation, and my personal take on it is: When they started their relationship back up again after Tim got back from the army, Lucy was pregnant with Jackson and Hawk was so swept up with Tim that he was neglecting her and the family they were about to start. At some point as Tim was pointing out that they'd get to see each other every day if he got the government job, Hawk realized that as long as Tim was around he was always going to choose him over his family. Now none of this is to say he went about it in any kind of acceptable way, but I do think it's important to remember the circumstances he was operating under: In today's world, the answer would be for him to come out to Lucy, and then they could separate and be co-parents while Hawk could be with Tim. But that was completely out of the question during that time, so Hawk's options were: 1. Continue the affair with Tim and become a totally absentee husband and father in the process 2. Abandon his wife and child with no explanation given to have a secret relationship with Tim (which would be both morally wrong AND wouldn't even work because it would raise major questions and make it more likely they'd get found out anyway) 3. Force himself to put an end to things with Tim and recommit to his family, no matter what it took When you look at it from that perspective, it really does make sense why he chose #3. Now, as for why he did it in such a cruel way? Well, again, it comes back to the fact that he knew he was never going to be able to not choose Tim if he had any choice in the matter. So, in his (misguided) mind, the only way to take away that choice was to blow things up so badly and do something so hurtful that Tim wouldn't *want* to have anything to do with him. I suppose the most uncharitable read that's still in this vein would be that he was getting so blissfully happy with Tim that he realized he was getting sloppy and couldn't risk getting them caught. But I really do think it was more about *trying* to do the noble thing, but ending up doing it in the absolute most misguided way possible.
