You only had 2 shots in the 3rd period. Just like Edmonton in game 1, Canucks just didnt deserve to win that game, plain and simple. They got Suter's puck over the glass penalty, which was a penalty, but not the high stick by McDavid where the puck was closed by. 4 officials didn't see that? As a canuck fan I'm actually pretty happy with their play. They played a terrible 3rd period that doesn't really represent the way they usually play. Even with the crazy pressure the Oilers were applying the canucks are more than capable of clearing the zone better. I think they'll adjust well and not allow such a drastic loss of control in a period like that. Full marks to the Oilers for that 3rd period. They played amazingly well and aside from the mistake on McDavid, the Canucks absorbed the pressure very well. Still, it's not the way they are successful so that kind of passivity will cost them the series if they continue. That 3rd was literally the best hockey they Oilers have played against the canucks all year. I think the canucks will be more than capable of matching and adjusting to that. Looking forward to game 3.
