    Like everyone else here (I assume), I'm a guitar nerd and love innovative players that broaden my playing horizons. In the last few years I've really gotten into a lot of Buckethead stuff and only recently have delved into the John 5 catalogue and man, I wish I had crossed that line much sooner. Great, great player with a knack for explaining and seems like a down to earth dude. I guess my comment doesn't have a point besides for if you like John 5 and haven't given Buckethead a chance, do so, so that you don't have that "I've been missing out" feeling that I'm experiencing now with J5.

      I think he just didn't had the opportunity to show his full splendor. With manson and rob zombie he didn't/did not require to use all of his technique.

    third bridge technique.
    hitting the strings behind the nut. doesnt work with floyd rose locking guitars.

    • @werewolf.of.wysteria7698
      @werewolf.of.wysteria7698 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kyle Richards this is the harmonicwhen you play the strings on the neck

    • @jayhallman6666
      @jayhallman6666 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      He did that by strumming the strings past the nut. It’s not hard. Unlike most of the things the does! lol

  • @d.williams9894
    @d.williams9894 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    1:25 Raking strings behind the nut...he does it all the time..sounds different because a quick brush with several fingers..he has song called "Behind the Nut Love" where he bends/flexs notes with the open string between nut and tuners..ever heard Van Halen "Running With The Devil", the opening guitar sound before riff, is same thing...Do your homework kiddies...nothing new on guitar, just how YOU do it..two hand tapping rhythm- check Stanley Jordan or Tony Levin (King Crimson) on "the Stick"

  • @SixString_J5
    @SixString_J5 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Technically, the keyboard is a string instrument. You can describe the act of playing it as percussive, but at the root it is a piano. The piano makes sound by vibrating strings. The keyboard is a simulation of this and often has effects stacked into the simulation.
