Can you create a video on landscaping? I have no trouble building houses and furnishing them, but I’m not sure what to do with the empty spaces when it comes to landscaping.
She actually did a few years ago. It's not a separate video but it's an hour long deep dive into her beginner method of building a house and she spends a long time on landscaping . It's like "how to build a house" or something like that
There's a sims creator, 'sahm and bean" that goes over a lot of different build styles including interior design and landscaping. You could try that out if lilsimsie's stuff doesn't click with you.
I am allergic to lanolin, a byproduct of sheep fat (?) that is in Aquaphor. My allergy is exactly the same symptoms you described. It's almost certainly lanolin. I am so paranoid because the reaction is SO uncomfortable, I only use vegan lip products because they don't contain lanolin since lanolin comes from animals. I still check the ingredients on vegan balms because I have other skin allergies. I feel for you! I got a tattoo a few years ago before I knew Aquaphor had lanolin in it and it messed up my tattoo healing.
Lanolin comes from wool, its a wax like bees wax. You could call it sheep sebum. Its not vegan, since it is an animal product, but its production doesnt kill the sheep.
@@troebeliewoep Thank you, yes! I should have looked that up first, I'm sorry. I try not to spread wrong info, so I appreciate the correction. A lot of people are sensitive to lanolin. I'm not personally vegan, but lanolin is the reason I only use vegan lip products. I use CeraVe healing ointment instead of Aquaphor now. Lanolin sometimes has other names on the label and if I miss it, I'm gonna be in pain haha.
Besides the building which I also love a lot.....It's always such a joy to listen to your voice and everything you have to tell. Also because you are always in such a good mood. I could never entertain people so long and so good behind a camera.
Hi Kayla! I have been having a hard time with falling a sleep, so I have been listening to your videos when I go to bed. You feel like a self space and help me to sleep. Thank you. ❤️ (Idk if it is only me. If someone else also does this, please let me know cause I feel really weird....)
I've had similar experiences with allergies... Ate a bowl of cashews when I was about 10, took a nap because I felt sick, and woke up with huge, swollen lips and hives on my arms and legs! 😅 I'm also allergic to almonds and can't even use a lot of moisturisers or anti-frizz hair stuff because they contain almond oil, which makes me break out in a rash! You should try going to an allergist to see if they can help you figure out what you're allergic to. I had an allergy test done in Japan, and it was super quick and informative. They were able to test for about 20 different things with just a finger prick test! 😮
simsie i also have that reaction to squeezy aquaphor!! it tears them up for days after the burning. it only happens for me with the SPF containing ones :( the squeezy one with the long top and the aquaphor stick are bad for me. all of the rest of them work for me though and they sell the regular one in a pocket size on amazon! it’s just the one with the shorter top. i don’t know why they don’t sell that in drugstores anymore :(
9:25 it’s probably not this, but just in case: I’m allergic to bandaids and never knew exactly what it was I was allergic to until I had an allergic reaction to certain makeups like liquid eyeliner. If you’ve ever had an allergic reaction to bandaids or some makeups it could be acrylates/methacrylates. I think they’re a binding agent for sticky/liquid products?
I am mildly allergic to bandaids, (if kept longer than an hour or on my face specifically.) But eyeliner never gave me problem! Thanks for sharing, I'll look into it.

1 I love eco life style, currently playing a rags to riches and started primarily dumpster diving 2 You might be allergic to lanolin. There’s like a hundred ingredients in lip balm but I’m vegan and avoid aquafor because of the lanolin, and I know it’s a somewhat common sensitivity. My go to lip balm is Palmer’s either cocoa butter or coconut. I get them at dollar tree
Eco Lifestyle has one of the most unique and fun features in the Sims franchise: community building. Like sometimes it's weird AF in a savegame, bc everything that goes around the world is your decision only. Experiencing community is so interesting, people just hated bc they didn't get what they wanted.
3:59 As a design student this actually hurts cause I use that website ALL the time when I'm struggling with finding a palette 😭😭😭 I put the color I already have and then I desperately keep pressing the spacebar 😭
8:45 Hi Kayla! I almost exclusively use lipbalm I make at home. My mom and I, for the longest time, used Chapstick brand, which adds stuff to it to make you use more. And we tend to go through lip balm like crazy. She's switched to using Vaseline now, and I save A LOT of money making my own. Its fun. The only ingredients in it are coconut oil, beeswax, sweet almond oil, and avocado oil. I'd be happy to send you some in an upcoming batch I'm making in a few days. I'm almost out so I need to make more soon. Honestly, let me know and I can send you some.
I only ever do my makeup for costume purposes. I did a logo cosplay for a Welcome to Night Vale live show back in October, and when I showed up to work the next day, everyone asked me if I was wearing lipstick and why. I wasn’t. But I wore lipstick for my cosplay, and I was allergic to it. Makeup and fur are the only things I’m allergic to, and I was “wearing lipstick” for three days. That lip balm story was a familiar one for my own experiences.
I’ve also had issues with aquaphor in the past! I’m super sensitive to so many things, so it wasn’t easy to figure what it was. I’m thinking it’s lanolin, since that’s used in a lot of nourishing products and is a relatively common allergen!
was it the aquaphor lip balm with spf??? i had the same swollen lip burning reaction to that one but i'm totally fine with the regular non-spf aquaphor lip balm. stuck the wrong one in my gym bag one day and i was miserable omg
I’m allergic to something in aquaphor too! Personally I also react to eos and laneige so be careful! You can always patch test behind your ear(most like the skin on your lips) 🫶
For the lip balm discussion - have you considered Beeswax as an allergen? That’s what I’m allergic to in them and it is such a pain to find a good lip balm without it
The funny thing about the release of this pack being so unpopular is actually that it was the release of Eco-lifestyle that made me switch over to Sims 4. Like I had so many sims 3 games and didn’t really like sims 4 before that (only had the base game and vampires for some reason) and then they announced eco-lifestyle, and in my Covid sick state I just “THIS IS THE GAME FOR ME!” And I just got so happy about the combination of eco-lifestyle and tiny living
I want Eco Lifestyle soon, along with maybe Highschool Years, Get to Work and Strangerville. (All very different, I know but I have plans.) I rewatched some of the streams on the second channel, and concluded those are the ones I'd like to add to my collection. I only have Cats & Dogs and Werewolves so far. I'll wait for holiday sales and stuff. It'll take a while to save up but that's the plan.
Simsie I have a similar problem with lip balms and also cosmetics in general with an ingredient called acrylates. And even some toothpaste. Nail polish. Not sure if that's one of the ingredients you're considering, but thought I'd mention it! Took me about 4 years to figure it out lol
ive always adored eco lifestyle and liked the trailer but im still so mad about that damn balcony not being usable. why even give it to us 😭😭 just to tease us its also my favourite apartment of the sims 4!! idk its the perfect size for an apartment and i love evergreen harbour
I have the same problem with lip balms, meaning I used to not understand why my lips are burning and putting more lip balm to fix the problem I was actively making worse 😂 btw my allergy ingredient turned out to be bees wax (cera alba). It is a common allergen
It may not even be an allergy to the lip balm. Some just have awful ingredients or a bad ph. Some have salt or too much menthol that dry out your lips more. (Peppermint usually isn’t as bad as menthol, but everyone’s different.) A ph that’s too far from the normal ph of your lips is bad, especially if you have sensitive skin. And then there are some that are made to deliberately irritate your lips to make them puff up so they look more full. In regards to people saying test the lip balm elsewhere first, although that may help catch a problem, there’s no guarantee it will catch it, since lip skin tends to be really delicate and without protective oils, so lips can be way more reactive than your arm, for example.
I have always liked the Eco Lifestyle pack. Its unfortunate that, like many other packs, it has so many bugs and i do wish they had maybe added a couple more things, but overall it has always been one of my favorite packs for BB, CAS and gameplay. I LOVE the idea of green energy so having it finally in the Sims 4 was really cool. I think i had heard some discourse but to be honest back then i wasnt on twitter or even youtube much so i missed out on all the 'backlash' and 'hate" surrounding the pack. I was blissfully unaware and im glad i was. The community can be amazing and come together for things like fundraising and amazing content creation, but it also has a lot of toxic moments that make me quite sad. Anyway, thought id share! Have a nice day yall ☺️
I developed an allergy to something in lip balms a few years ago too! The corners of my mouth kept splitting open and it was from a balm I had been using for years! Weirdly enough, Aquaphor is the only thing I can use now.
The Eco Lifestyle trailer drop was the first time I was ever active in The Sims community outside of watching one creator, and it quite honestly traumatized me to the point that I *_never_* want to look at _any_ leaks in _any_ game, *_ever._* Even official announcements would have me be really cautious, like, I'd turn off live chat and refuse to look at any comments. So thanks for that, Sims community.
check to see if there is spf in the lip balm! i’m allergic to spf lip balms bc of some of the chemicals in the sunscreen they put in it. it’s not a super common allergy so it tends to be in lots of stuff
I'm allergic to aquaphor too! For me, I've found that I'm allergic/ sensitive to parabens (methylparaben, propylparaben etc) in skin care and lip balms. Some fragrances can also be irritating, i used a few different burts bees flavors in the past but they all irritated my lips. Other balms made w bees wax and coconut oil work great on me tho
Allergies are the worst. It’s so hard when brands change or you have to use something different. I also deal with several allergies. I feel the pain. I hope you find some other products that do work for you.
Eco Lifestyle got an insane amount of hate and yet it was my favorite at the time. I had my Sim live in your apartment reno for like... actual irl years.
Aquafor usually has lanolin as an ingredient. Do both of those lip balms have that in it? A lot of babies and young toddlers are sensitive to this as well.
kayla is normally such a levelheaded and like not-over-the-top person and it's honestly very camp how much she insists the most normal apartments in this game are chaotic and how upset she gets about swatches
no way 😭😭 aquaphor is supposed to be the allergy free/allergy friendly one. its what i use bc im allergic to soooo much stuff that goes on your face. especially sunscreens for some reason
OOHHHH I never knew that's why my sims don't want to autonomously sit at the computer that makes so much sense 😭 the builder in me is indeed devastated by this information
It's a long shot, but I have an allergy to 'parfum' or 'fragrance' in so many products. I know a lot of makeup has fragrance in it, so Ive never dared use it because I frankly don't want to die, but if you also have similar reactions to lotions, soaps, perfumes, or laundry detergents, it could be what you're allergic to! It's not a common allergy that I'm aware of, since I havent met anyone like me who is allergic, so it's worth a thought!! Lips and eyes are more sensitive to allergens, so it could be why your lips might have a stronger reaction than other parts of your body. Other commenters have already mentioned doing skin tests on your wrists, which is also great when testing new products in general.

@@steggopotamus thanks! will check it out!
This was the first pack launch after I was actively watching sims content, and I remember this vividly 😂 it's actually one of my favourite packs
Lanolin sometimes has other names on the label and if I miss it, I'm gonna be in pain haha.
i looooooove apartment builds
Besides the building which I also love a lot.....It's always such a joy to listen to your voice and everything you have to tell. Also because you are always in such a good mood. In the beginning it was sometimes a little bit hard for me to understand everything because you talked a little fast for me because I'm from another country. But nowadays i'm completely used to it and absolutely and love it. Can listen to your vids for hours. 💖 Your so naturally talented... I could never entertain people so long and so good behind a camera.
Hi Kayla! I have been having a hard time with falling a sleep, so I have been listening to your videos when I go to bed. You feel like a self space and help me to sleep. Thank you. ❤️
(Idk if it is only me. If someone else also does this, please let me know cause I feel really weird....)
19:18 ALLYYYYYY thanks for the shoutout!!!! It’s rough out here (but o am i proud🤗🩷💜💙)
I've had similar experiences with allergies... Ate a bowl of cashews when I was about 10, took a nap because I felt sick, and woke up with huge, swollen lips and hives on my arms and legs! 😅
I'm also allergic to almonds and can't even use a lot of moisturisers or anti-frizz hair stuff because they contain almond oil, which makes me break out in a rash!
I’m slightly allergic to bandaids and that explains why some makeup makes my eyes itchy
I am mildly allergic to bandaids, (if kept longer than an hour or on my face specifically.) But eyeliner never gave me problem! Thanks for sharing, I'll look into it.
I love your videos so much I have terrible night terrors and I put them on when I'm unable to sleep good and you helped a lot I really enjoy your attitude and the way that you talk you're the nicest person I've ever seen all your efforts raising money have made me extremely thankful for you being in this community when I saw that your video was just posted now I thought this would be my chance for you to actually see this and read and appreciative comment I love you lildimsimsssy
I love the color scheme! You really did catch the essence of the colors, and kinda impressive with the details! Also, what pack/etc dose the rug in the parent's bedroom come from?
Little campers kit!
@@Rainroaming Thank you! I really liked it and was fairly sure I don't have it in my game.
1 I love eco life style, currently playing a rags to riches and started primarily dumpster diving
2 You might be allergic to lanolin. There’s like a hundred ingredients in lip balm but I’m vegan and avoid aquafor because of the lanolin, and I know it’s a somewhat common sensitivity. My go to lip balm is Palmer’s either cocoa butter or coconut. I get them at dollar tree
this build reminds me of something i would build in the sims 3, and im living for it
Eco Lifestyle has one of the most unique and fun features in the Sims franchise: community building. Like sometimes it's weird AF in a savegame, bc everything that goes around the world is your decision only. Experiencing community is so interesting, people just hated bc they didn't get what they wanted.
I love this build!! The colors are awesome and you do such a good job!!
Quick clam ur spot before is to late!
eco lifestyle is in my top 5 fave packs, i think the cas is so pretty and the world once its clean is very fun to play in !!
3:59 As a design student this actually hurts cause I use that website ALL the time when I'm struggling with finding a palette 😭😭😭 I put the color I already have and then I desperately keep pressing the spacebar 😭
19:03 "the bathroom isn't my favorite... there just isn't a brighter pink tile" UMM the Decor to the Max kit would like to have a word😅
Love seeing people I like having sponsorships
That lip balm story was a familiar one for my own experiences.
ohh, i remember this stream!! so much fun 🥰🥰
I’ve also had issues with aquaphor in the past! I’m super sensitive to so many things, so it wasn’t easy to figure what it was. I’m thinking it’s lanolin, since that’s used in a lot of nourishing products and is a relatively common allergen!
was it the aquaphor lip balm with spf??? i had the same swollen lip burning reaction to that one but i'm totally fine with the regular non-spf aquaphor lip balm. stuck the wrong one in my gym bag one day and i was miserable omg
yes!! same i’m allergic to the o chemicals in spf
Oh man, I love the bathroom with the laundry nook and the shelves above the toilet! I am inspired.
I played around Eco Lifestyle earlier this year. I always had its features off but when I started playing with it, I find it actually really fun.
Been following your channel for a while, keep it up!
I didn't think this color palette would work, but it looks beautiful!
I’m allergic to something in aquaphor too! Personally I also react to eos and laneige so be careful! You can always patch test behind your ear(most like the skin on your lips) 🫶
For the lip balm discussion - have you considered Beeswax as an allergen? That’s what I’m allergic to in them and it is such a pain to find a good lip balm without it
I actually love this. To me, the color scheme feels like this should be for an older sister raising her younger sister and now I really want to play!
It'll take a while to save up but that's the plan.
okay but that purple palette you opened to before you randomised it for the challenge. delicious
Simsie I have a similar problem with lip balms and also cosmetics in general with an ingredient called acrylates. And even some toothpaste. Nail polish. Not sure if that's one of the ingredients you're considering, but thought I'd mention it! Took me about 4 years to figure it out lol
i would LOVE to see a random pack build with packs that had drama 🤩 i just started playing this year and didn't know there was lore
ive always adored eco lifestyle and liked the trailer but im still so mad about that damn balcony not being usable. why even give it to us 😭😭 just to tease us
its also my favourite apartment of the sims 4!! idk its the perfect size for an apartment and i love evergreen harbour
10:05 I noticed the same thing when I used Eos. Use Vaseline lip balm. Nothing flavoured or made with beeswax.
I have the same problem with lip balms, meaning I used to not understand why my lips are burning and putting more lip balm to fix the problem I was actively making worse 😂 btw my allergy ingredient turned out to be bees wax (cera alba). It is a common allergen
Lanolin is a common allergy in many skin products
You're wearing a new mascara and it's working for you. Thanks for the Coolors link.
I love these kind of challenges
You can put stuff on the balcony if you have some of the item on the half wall!
So thanks for that, Sims community.
check to see if there is spf in the lip balm! i’m allergic to spf lip balms bc of some of the chemicals in the sunscreen they put in it. it’s not a super common allergy so it tends to be in lots of stuff
the balcony was editable with cheats at launch but then they patched it so it wasn't able to anymore
@@MargieLeigh3 ... 🙀
9:10 this is how I am with Carmex
Allergies are the worst. It’s so hard when brands change or you have to use something different. I also deal with several allergies. I feel the pain. I hope you find some other products that do work for you.
it’s giving young adult and teenager sister lives there 😍🔥🔥
the apartment colour scheme SCREAMS 2000s to 2012
Yup. Faeries are The Thing I’ve been wanting ever since Sims 4 came out 😅😅
I always play with the Eco Lifestyle stuff in every game, no matter what else I'm trying to accomplish.
You should rebuild the whole apartment building from scratch using For Rent so you can access the balcony!!
Eco Lifestyle and Cottage Living are the only two reasons I still play Sims 4.
kayla is normally such a levelheaded and like not-over-the-top person and it's honestly very camp how much she insists the most normal apartments in this game are chaotic and how upset she gets about swatches
no way 😭😭 aquaphor is supposed to be the allergy free/allergy friendly one. its what i use bc im allergic to soooo much stuff that goes on your face. especially sunscreens for some reason
LUV YOUR CONTENT❤
YAAY
I do hate how the balcony can only be used if you make your sim place an item themselves, but then it’s all wonky uuugh
Lanolin it’s a very common issue! Try CERAVE HEALING OINTMENT
the flag is such a cute addition :))
For the allergy have you considered hemp? I can’t use a lot of chap sticks and hand creams etc because of that.
More of this random color scheme!!!!
OOHHHH I never knew that's why my sims don't want to autonomously sit at the computer that makes so much sense 😭 the builder in me is indeed devastated by this information
Never been sooooo early😂❤
@@fatimahammad6485 haha my exact thought. I'm never this early😂
Putting the hamper in the bathroom is also, coincidentally, the best way to make myself do the laundry as a person with ADHD
So early! Exicted! 🎉
I remember being so annoyed about not being able to edit the balcony!!!
"I think that rug is a career reward?" No that's the rug for clubs- "It has a weird drink symbol in the middle???" I giggled
period.
Every sims pack has drama lol
