I love Celine! It was my very first luxury bag purchase before all other fashion houses 6 years ago. My micro luggage is the best bag in my collection.
I love how people sleep on Celine, I personally love Celine & fendi over Chanel n LV..

I am lucky enough to have been purchasing handbags for 30 years from all of the known luxury houses…Hermes, Chanel, Celine, Dior, Fendi, Bottega, LV, Goyard, etc….I would be considered by many to be “old” in this TH-cam “purse porn” community 😂. If quality is a top priority for you, Celine’s is exceptional. I recently wore one of my Celine handbags into two different Hermes boutiques in Paris. Both SAs told me how much they loved my bag 😀

@@bargain.hunting.blonde It was the medium Ava strap bag in smooth tan calfskin. The one with the adjustable strap. It's not a crossbody, but it's simple, understated and great for packing and traveling. Also, the leather is surprisingly hard wearing. I've worn it a fair amount (mostly when traveling) and there's not a scratch on it.

Am French and for me understated is everything so I love Celine :). I only have the small Audrey sunglasses which I adore. Next, I want to get the small Triomphe belt in white. Later on, I would like the bag you spoke of. Small steps I know, but I don't want designer tags everywhere in my life. Loved your review x
I have heard that Celine is a classy brand with history. I like that it is a French brand, like Chanel and LV and Hermes. I have one Celine bag that I bought in the preloved market. It is a dome shaped bag like the Hermes Bolide. I like the shape of the Bolide but I don't intend to pay that price for such a simple and plain design that you can find anywhere. But I did want a bag having that shape with high quality, not a plastic looking bag that you can find at the supermarket. Then, one day I came accross a Celine dome shaped bag in bright pink leather. It is very pretty and you can tell that the leather is high quality. And because it's preloved and a vintage bag, the price was next to nothing. I'm happy to hear from the comment below that even Hermes sales people are impressed by Celine. Now I can take to Hermes with confidence!

You are correct good brand to look into. I bought one of their canvas mini bag and a chain. i will say for a brand thats not the top 3 they are quite overpriced. I agree with you second market is a good place to go for their pieces.

My first large Celine trapeze bag came this week in taupe. It’s really lovely and large and the materials are lux but I understand what so many women were complaining about it. It’s not the most user friendly. The large only has a top handle which isn’t the most comfortable, the shape doesn’t mold well to the body-to clunky, the shape sags when you add your items and all the pressure is on the leather by the lock. All that being said, I only paid 350 for it in good condition so for that price I am motivated to play with it for a while. It’s not worth more than that due to the design. I would try other models .
I’m eating my words. Idk what happened but after using it for a bit I changed my mind and like it a lot even with the issues I mentioned on my initial impressions. Turns out the crazy big size and clunky design are good for a daily tote, but I still think it’s not a great work bag. Too soft imo despite being able to house small children in it. I also added a shoulder strap which the large doesn’t have. Game changer. I recognize the leather pulling on the metal will not stand the test of time but it is ok. No such thing as forever.
Celine, Hermes, and Goyard are my favorites!
I need to give goyard another shot. I have a gm St. Louis tote and it didn’t hold up well but I think one of the totes with more structure might work better for me!
I have a vintage Celine “box” style bag in canvas with leather trim, and the quality is excellent!

I got a nano luggage last year and to date is my most used bag. Like everyday. Super hard resistant and fits so much. Also I choose grained leather since calfskin was super easy to scratch. I got it second hand and worth the price second hand compared to full price. I was so sad to learn that that model is going to get discontinued
I really like the Celine brand In general just didn’t find the perfect bag to add to my collection yet I don’t think about the value of resale but I definitely would go pre love if I will save a lot 🥰🥰🥰

Hi! I’ve been silently following your videos for a while. I’m going to Paris in a couple of months and have saved a good amount of money for bags. I’m newer to buying luxury bags- I have a LV graceful pm in monogram, and a pochette metis in reverse monogram. I’m hoping to get a black leather bag, a fancier summer bag and a casual spring/summer bag to add to my collection, but there are SO many great choices. I’m looking at the ysl envelope in medium, sunset, the toy loulou, the Louis Vuitton Lockme collection, the Céline triomphe, or possibly a Chanel (but probably only the Chanel if I go that route bc of price). What advice do you have or experience with those brands? I want something classic that will last a long time and hold up well. Thanks 😊
are you having any issues with the glazing by where the hinge/strap connects to the bag? mine the glazing has worn a lottt and it's even torn
I do not have an issues with my triomphe but I could see that happening! Do you use it every day? I am wondering if I haven’t had an issues with mine as I rotate my bags a lot. Regardless Celine does have a spa service and I believe they should be able to fix it!

Superb quality on both Celine and Bottega Veneta bags! They age beautifully. I have Celine Trio and seau sangle bag and they are so hard wearing in the soft grained leather
