In her defence she had everything right in season 18 except she broke the hollandaise, season 16 she had the right protein after tasting but trusted Andrew which was the mistake
12:50 i remember watching that the night it first aired and i clapped like a seal when she realised the breakfast wasnt a treat but part of a challenge. Clever girl.
I always like this challenge because Gordon seems to get genuine joy out of it. Even when the chefs don't have it spot on, if the dish is good, he compliments them on it.
Matt in Taste it now make it: Raw Venison Quail Egg Caviar White Chocolate Diver Scallops Lemon Zest. Only thing you’re missing is Capers. You would have been the only one right.
If Joseph had been here, he wouldn't even have cooked anything, he'd just say that the ingredients know who they are and that they can speak for themselves.
I really like thay when tommy asked "is that bad" gordon only said it was RIGHT, because it wasn't a bad combination or dish it just wasn't what he needed to make
I'm not surprised it's his favorite. It's the palate challenge but dialed up to 11. Not only you have to identify ingredients, you have to identify them either mixed with other flavors, cooked a certain way, or/and prepared to imitate other things.
they should do a challenge where they have to make their own dishes and make Gordon taste their meals and whoevers dish that Gordon cannot identify the ingredients should go through to the next round, I want to see things that also challenge Gordon
Really shows that even if the chefs can’t identify ingredients, does it really matter to the diners if it is expensive fish or cheap fish for instance?
As someone who really dislikes cooking, the passion that these people have impresses me so much. I wish that I had this passion, even a little, for food. I certainly cooked healthy meals for my son as he was growing up but it was always a chore, and coming up with something different drove me nuts as I wanted him to try many foods (except seafood and mushrooms which physically make me sick so we never had it). He did try both with his father and hated them but that could be my fault. I admire each and every one of these talented people as I couldn’t imagine anything worse. And I have the worst palate on the planet, my mother says I’m a heathen 😂 This from a woman who force fed us smoked cod as kids and we all still hate it with a passion 50 years later.
this challenge reminds me of a chinese cooking drama where the character has a palate of the gods and can figure out every single ingredient and even cooking method by taste and was able to truly replicate every single detail of a dish in her cooking competition lol
Hell's Kitchen. PLEASE make season 4 and full video playlists available in Mexico! We can watch everything else but not those. Lot's of ex-pat fans down here!
Imagine if Chef Ramsay made the chefs recreate Matt's exotic tartare or Antonia's mardi gras gumbo.
Oh no
Don't give him ideas lol
Or Raj's seafood and vegetable pancake
"Taste it now don't throw up"
Lol that would be very entertaining to see
The season 14 black jackets where fun to watch. They all very much respect each other and many of them felt like actual friends
I wish Nick won that season
@@tannerrotschy1984he should have won All Stars but not 14.
Meghan was and will always be the rightful winner that season.
I like the individual 'taste it now make it' more than teams. You really get to see pressure 😅
Same bc it’s easy to blame someone else for mistakes in a team while individual challenges really show who’s got the talent
Every chef should know by know everytime someone says "I got this" or "This is going to be easy" they're wrong
"How hard can it be..?"
When under pressure it could hard!!
Its edited
They say that after the content and it's a scripted line. Anything that is said in the 'in their minds' room is meaningless.

Petroza’s dad really didn’t need a paternity test. They are the cutest
How Heather can do two of these challenges and fail spectacularly on both is hilarious.

What’s crazy is that I used to dislike Mia. Then she grew on me and I like her.

Ngl Ramsey guessing all the ingredients by tasting it that quick is so awesome
Experience is a killer
@13:20 the caption, Motto: really does have 12 toes 😂😂
Also Brett: I have adddddddddddd
this challenge is also one of my favorites, love the suspense of not knowing if the chefs have picked the correct ingredients
It’s about time .. Finally a 1hr special of Taste it , Now You make it..
I loved Wendy with her lick it to taste it method. She and Kimberly were favorite from that season.
Wendy in S14 had a GOAT palate! Loved that she won that challenge for her and Ryan
S16
I was thing who was Wendy because ive watched s14 but not s16
Petrozza's dad seems like a genuine nice guy, just that small interaction tells u a lot,
Fun Fact: Gordon Ramsay's tongue is insured worth $10M.
Holy cow, I looked and it's true! Wow!
He's got one of the best palates in the world.
He can even distinguish different types of chilli peppers.
Makes sense. Surgeons and dentists insure their hands for millions of dollars. Chef Ramsay’s palate is top tier.
He is also a high ranked black belt
Mans hands are 5 million each!!!!
I always like this challenge because Gordon seems to get genuine joy out of it. Even when the chefs don't have it spot on, if the dish is good, he compliments them on it.
Petrozza made it from Hen in a pumpkin to the final 3 !!
Final 2! He was the runner up
12:00 they should have known that in Hells Kitchen, Gordon Ramsay's "gifts'' aren't free.
“Couscous… the food so nice, they named it twice.”

Only thing you’re missing is Capers. You would have been the only one right.
Olive oil is also missing
Do you think Gordon asks his friends and family to make him meals for him to guess? Like, it’s his favorite game, does he play too? 😂
I can't unsee that Pokemon Ruby style font in the thumbnail.
Seeing Gordon's tasting palet doing hot ones must have been way worse for him. Tastes even if its lime or lemon used 🤯
Right! Can you imagine how bad it must’ve been for him
I love seeing Russell lose 😂

Yup… to have 3 out of 5 of the black jackets in S17.. says it all.

Pretty ssmart of Ariel, Mia and Christina for noticing the breakfast was a trick
How could you not. Like she said, nothing is out of the blue.
Season 8 having a random side quest was epic.
Let them remake a mock apple pie. That will taste like a real apple pie but it's 100% apple free!😂
That would be very funny, but I’m sure they would be able to tell by texture that it isn’t really apple.
Many cheap Apple pies, bulk it out with choko. Close in texture and will take on the taste of the apples.
He's done something really similar before! He gave them a large meat-driven meal and then asked them about it. It was entirely vegetarian XD
