    The cannibal guy wouldn't have been released from psychiatric care, unless someone got him 'transferred to another institution'.
    To use the un-pc phrase 'you can't fix fucked' and you know when you look at that case history and start talking with someone like that they can't be released, ever.
    If he has vanished, he probably got rubbed and scrubbed.

    • @lostwizardcat9910
      @lostwizardcat9910 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah id say thats one of those old yeller cases. Just put a bullet in him and make it like he never existed. Dude was out there guarding what had to be either Nukes or POWs and munching on himself. Most likely Nukes considering he's Airforce and the way dude was talking about how bad it would be if it got out.

      I agree that that’s how it should be but there’s a lot of examples of people just as fucked as that guy who get arrested for multiple murders and crazy stuff like canabalism and doing weird shit with the dead bodies who plead insanity, end up in a loonie bin and eventually get let out. It shouldn’t happen but it does

    Guardsman here, from my base understanding. The reserves exist to be exactly in their name. Reserves for the Active duty troops. They are federal troops that are to be used in reserve of the main force. While the national guard has been used in defense of the country at home and overseas. They fall under their state governments but can be federalized to fight over seas. This way the president and governors of states can use military forces on US soil since Federal troops aren't allow to be activated on US soil because the whole can't let a President use troops to overthrow the government and such things. Posse Commitatus act makes it so federal troops can't be used as a police force. While guardsmen can be activated to assist local agencies for situations but never lead in them. Guardsmen also deal with a lot of other things like natural disasters.

    That’s so true about red phase/first few weeks. I was so bored in reception and excited when we got picked up to go to basic training. The first 72 hours sucked and I was mentally struggling during red phase. I was so close to quitting. Couple good battle buddies helped keep my afloat and eventually we became best friends. Especially with my bunkie who I still talk to almost daily a few months after I last saw him. But crap man I remember mentally tearing myself apart on whether I should quit or not. I couldn’t even begin to even TRY to figure out how many push-up and what not we had to do. My platoon had some real idiots. These two Jamaicans were the worst and they had a real s&@$ attitude as well and were always together to were the drill sergeants banned them from being together. But all those crappy days definitely brought us together. For real.

    It baffles me how quickly people give up in basic...
    I went to BCT in the army at Ft Sill and shortly after starting my first cycle, my kneels swelled up with runners knee after my first 4k ruck. Within a week of me trying to just push through it, I got shin splints and they put me on crutches, I'll skip a bit but basically I was on crutches for 8 weeks... BCT is only 9 weeks long so I did 90% of my first cycle on crutches and then I was a med hold for a month. I got really lucky with my second cycle, I got the same battery (company, because Sill is home of the artillery) and had mostly the same DS. I didn't get to repel again but I did get to enjoy the gas chamber a second time, sadly my shin splints never actually recovered but I did manage to pass my PT test and do the 16k (although I had a little break down because I was suppose to the the 16k and there was a heavy sudden storm so it was delayed and I felt like I would be stuck there forever).
    Then I moved on to AIT, within a month my shin splits started acting up again preventing me from running so I got put back on profile. 3 months after being put on profile, they took me out of classes because I couldn't do my job, so they tried to start chaptering me out and it took me talking to the battalion commander to have him speak to my commander in order to be given a chance. So Christmas is coming up, and my profile expired during the break so when I got back, I took my PT test. During the last quarter of the 2 mile, I was unable to put any weight on my left leg and had to hop the rest, still managed to pass if only just, so they put me back in class and the battalion commander gave me a challenge coin for "Hard work and dedication" to staying in the army.
    Before finishing AIT, they put me on a permanent profile, which shouldn't be allowed in tradoc, but they went ahead with it and shipped me off to my first duty station. Fast forward a couple months and my commander is upset that I have a permanent profile and begins processing me out, sadly at that point I had given up fighting it. I continued to do my job but developed a Glenoid Labrum Tear in my left shoulder which basically sealed the deal. 30 days prior to my 2 year mark, my commander pushed my out processing, 10 days later I'm heading home with nothing more than a wave good bye. My senior NCO was a bit upset that I didn't go to him for help to stay in and I told him that I was tired of fighting to stay in when I was able to do my job better than most of the other low enlisted despite my injury.
    I still regret not fighting to stay in and I miss it, at this point it's been right a little over 4 years and I'm fixing to go to college in a month, so I'm finally going to do something again, I just don't know where I'm heading in life at this point.

    I love that the cannibal just barely registers as a bit extra weird for months and months until he eats himself. Military just totally unfazed by dude and just think hes being an edgy kid

    So I got a funny and scary story, about that same person you mention (I play games with him as well, known him since 2014/5 I believe) and one day we were playing D3 during a random season and was doing some greater rifts. Well my friend (you know him), was in the grift and my other 2 friends were making jokes and laughing, (but they didn't know of his condition), so we are have a great time, joking laughing whatever. We start this rift during a joke. Our mutual is at the beginning, not moving. And I was like oh shit, cause it dawned on me about the condition I learned about during a different game.
    So we go on with grift and I explain to my best of knowledge what has happened and they are understanding and they figure out what it was. Well then our mutual wakes up. He goes "what happened?" Why am I covered in blood? Why is my chair broken? Come to find out he laughed and fell face first into his desk (bloodied his nose), and busted his chair to the point that seat was off the bottom and all he could see was the bar that holds its together. He comes back after cleaning himself up and explains the situation fully.
    He tells us just warn him next time about joke time, cause he doesn't remember that last 12 mins. He is still one of my favorite friends to play games with and he was okay! But every once in awhile we try to get him to laugh so hard and even on stream to get him to passout.
