I could listen to James mumble to himself while looking through a Netflix menu for hours. I feel like there's something lost when you have the ability to choose what you want to watch whenever you want. It used to be that you just had to settle for whatever was on. You'd default to your favorite channels, hoping they'd put something in front of you that you like. Sometimes they would. Sometimes they wouldn't. But sometimes they'd give you something you didn't even know you wanted. And that's special. What movies do you remember better? The ones you hear good things about and go out of your way to find, or the ones you stumble on to on Encore at 1:45 am with no expectation, and turn out to become one of your favorite movies?

Accurate. A lot of us tend to have the same problem. Shows and Movies you want to watch go missing too often. Bland and repetitive titles are on here. Then the movies you're looking for aren't even there...it's just a mess. But I suppose it's how companies get us to sign up for 3 or more video streaming services. It's a shame really.
This is why I buy movies & TV shows on physical media and back them up digitally to my own server. Always available, never disappears, and only the content I personally love.

You make a good point. When you consider how much time you spent going to the video store, browsing, taking your rental home etc. Browsing through Netflix is probably quicker for most people.
The Nerd perfectly encapsulates why I prefer to have physical copies of a movie or tv show instead of streaming. If I want to watch a certain title, I don't have to worry about it disappearing from the queue. And with more and more studios creating their own streaming platforms, it's going to be harder and harder to find what you want to watch on Netflix.
At least 60% of what's on Netflix these days is their original content, it seems like. And you see the same 20 (maybe more like 50) movies pop up, even in genres they're not associated with. It's kind of a pain in the ass to navigate to find exactly what you want, and even when there's a particular movie you're looking for, chances are they won't have it. And then they'll have something like the Rocky movies up, but it'll only be Rocky 2, 3, 4, and 5, but no Rocky 1. Or it'll be the whole series but minus a sequel or season. It makes no sense.

Adventures by George This is why I left Netflix and thinking of leaving Hulu. They make more money with originals than from movies we actually wanna watch and that they have to pay fees for. Most of us are not subscribing to them because of their originals.

There are hundreds of originals that no one watches and the money that's going to those is the reason why they can't keep shows and movies on there.
