I love the little touch that it's Tammy singing the National Anthem badly, the girl that Robin confessed to Steve that she had a crush on in Season 3 and rather than judge her for being gay, Steve teased her that Tammy can't sing whatsoever and she needs to up her standards.
The rope joke to break the doll is genius, got everyone with the "why not just break it?" They even show a hammer in the very next shot. Nobody thought of his reason of it might explode 🤣

When I watched it I just thought that it looked like they were concerned that the doll might be booby trapped. And then later when they were worried about it exploding, I just thought that the story was continuing along it's logical trajectory. I only realised that some other people didn't get this straight away, much later, when I watched a few TH-cam reaction videos and was surprised to see that people weren't picking up on this.
I love watching people react to Chrissy’s death because they’re always SO caught off guard by the gruesome nature of it. All the screaming and expletives are super funny. I was the same exact way the first time
This season really amps up the horror and it's awesome. Vecna and his curse are legitimately scary! Eddie is a great new character too. Poor Chrissy, she seemed nice. Also loving the longer episodes as well... oh and the music is on point as usual -- Kate Bush respect!
I choose to believe this is a subtle extra layer to the burn, and not a writing error - Eddy asks Erica if her level and class is a level 1 Dwarf, but they're shown to be playing AD&D, in which Dwarf is a race, not a class. The only way Dwarf can be a class is if they were playing Basic D&D. So he's not only saying she's weak and short, but that she plays the kiddy version (Basic was actually pretty cool tho).
See this is why I came to the comments. I haven't played D&D since 2008 but I had a feeling that burn was deeper than I thought. Mainly because one of my last campaigns had someone complaining they *couldn't* be a Dwarf. 🙄

I didn't pay attention to the symbolism in the nightmare that Vecna casted onto Chrissy. The mom at the sewing machine loosening her dress along with he dialog and her running to her dad only to see him with his eyes and mouth stitched shut. It very telling of what her home life was like.
I'm loving the Nightmare On Elm Street references in this season! Considering we only got a short time with Chrissy, I really liked her and would have loved to have seen more of her!

I honestly loved Lucas in this ep.he’s really trying to move on from the trauma they’ve all experienced and play a champ game and also is still trying to help his friends cope. I mean he’s a high school freshman so it might not come off the best way at times but he’s genuinely trying
finished it all and let me tell you, you are in for a treat, amazing cinematography, the score, the soundtrack, the storylines, the characters, the horror factor, everything is amazing, it's right up there with season 1 in my opinion

I absolutely love that they went with more practical effects on Vecna...like obviously some of the more subtle tendril movements on his body are CGI'd but its otherwise practical effects and makes it 10x cooler/creepier..Fav villain to date in the show.

Netflix's release format. Other tv series release one episode per week until the season ends, so that's weeks/months of being hyped. However, Netflix releases them in one go. It's kinda double-edged sword really, it's good that they're all readily available, but also not good you can finish it that fast.
El has really good control over her powers. Remember in season 1 she made that one little bully pee himself. So she can be accurate and precise with her powers when she wants to.
I think just saying they could have resheduled the D&D session is missing the point here. The message is that both hobbies are equaly valuable. For the D&D nerds that dice roll was just as important as Lucas winning shot was for all the sport nerds. The difference is that the sport nerd culture is the socially accepted "cool" way to nerd out. And for Lucas's friends a reshedule of the D&D game was just as impossible as it was for Lucas to reshedule his basketball game given that all the others in Hellfire club were dead against it. In fact Lucas knew of the Hellfire shedule and sprung the conflict on his friends last minute. And he did not even just say let me do my game and you do your D&D. No he basically demanded of them to come to his new thing. And not to participate but just to watch (and let's not forget the expetation when he asked was for him to sit on the bench the whole game ...). Overall I think the show made a good point of showing that both hobbies are equally important to those who enjoy them by doing it shot by shot.
When I see Mike (also Lucas) still playing d&d reminds me of that ep in S3 where Will was so hyped to play with them but they were not in the mood or they think they can't play d&d bec they're not kids anymore. Oh well.. look at them

She shrugged and said it drives her nuts every time she sees it. When you tilt your head back like they do in the movies, you are effectively closing your throat, making it harder to swallow and even creating the chance of inhaling the pill into your lung. Chin to chest, you’ll be amazed how easier it makes it.
I think the last scene of Chrissy's death is probably the most legitimately scary horror scene of the entire show so far. And I think it does largely come down to how Eddie was reacting and how realistic it felt. That desperate pleading "I don't like this!", like you want it to be a joke, but you're so terrified that it's not, combined with the confusion as to what's going on... the actor did a great job delivering that. It was worth casting him, even if he's playing a high school student at 29 years old.
This is my theory: I have NOT seen episode 2 and on yet. He killed all the kids at the Lab, but Eleven was too strong for him to actually kill her, she fought it but didn't die, that's why she still had all the blood and such. She found the kids and they thought she did it at first.

The only thing I don’t like about season 4 is the fact we waited 3 years because of covid for this and I finished the whole thing yesterday in one go now I have to wait till July for the second half and next year for season 5😭😭😭
Then take your time on it and quit complaining. Watch like 1 episode every week.

Netflix's release format. Other tv series release one episode per week until the season ends, so that's weeks/months of being hyped. However, Netflix releases them in one go. It's kinda double-edged sword really, it's good that they're all readily available, but also not good you can finish it that fast.

El has really good control over her powers. Remember in season 1 she made that one little bully pee himself. So she can be accurate and precise with her powers when she wants to.

I think just saying they could have resheduled the D&D session is missing the point here. The message is that both hobbies are equaly valuable. For the D&D nerds that dice roll was just as important as Lucas winning shot was for all the sport nerds. The difference is that the sport nerd culture is the socially accepted "cool" way to nerd out. And for Lucas's friends a reshedule of the D&D game was just as impossible as it was for Lucas to reshedule his basketball game given that all the others in Hellfire club were dead against it.
In fact Lucas knew of the Hellfire shedule and sprung the conflict on his friends last minute. And he did not even just say let me do my game and you do your D&D. No he basically demanded of them to come to his new thing. And not to participate but just to watch (and let's not forget the expetation when he asked was for him to sit on the bench the whole game ...).
Overall I think the show made a good point of showing that both hobbies are equally important to those who enjoy them by doing it shot by shot.
When I see Mike (also Lucas) still playing d&d reminds me of that ep in S3 where Will was so hyped to play with them but they were not in the mood or they think they can't play d&d bec they're not kids anymore. Oh well.. look at them
Helpful tip of the day - If you have trouble swallowing pills/medicine, it’s probably because you’re doing what you’ve always seen on film, like Max taking the Tylenol, they throw their head back, DO NOT do this, when you go to swallow, point your chin towards your chest, like you’re looking down - then swallow, learned this from a nurse, I asked why do they always show people throwing their head back in the movies if it’s the wrong way to swallow? She shrugged and said it drives her nuts every time she sees it.
When you tilt your head back like they do in the movies, you are effectively closing your throat, making it harder to swallow and even creating the chance of inhaling the pill into your lung.
Chin to chest, you’ll be amazed how easier it makes it.

I think the last scene of Chrissy's death is probably the most legitimately scary horror scene of the entire show so far. And I think it does largely come down to how Eddie was reacting and how realistic it felt. That desperate pleading "I don't like this!", like you want it to be a joke, but you're so terrified that it's not, combined with the confusion as to what's going on... the actor did a great job delivering that. It was worth casting him, even if he's playing a high school student at 29 years old.
This season truly blows the lore up completely and gives us a true path towards actual feasible theories.

This is my theory: I have NOT seen episode 2 and on yet. He killed all the kids at the Lab, but Eleven was too strong for him to actually kill her, she fought it but didn't die, that's why she still had all the blood and such. She found the kids and they thought she did it at first.
