Hey, Shawn. I grew up about two blocks away from your shop in Medford, but I live and work and tint in Fort Worth, Texas now. Love your videos man. Great techniques, great care for the work. About these F-Series pickups. That foam strip is a nightmare for windshield installs, but they can actually be removed and replaced after the fact. A quick dip with a pick can pull the edge up by the vin plate and allows you to remove the strip. You can either leave it out, which doesn't affect the windshield much past some minor sound deadening, or it can be replaced after the tint is installed with a quick spray of soapy water and slipping it back down. There's a hard edge down there that prevents the strip from going too low unlike on some of the mustangs. Love the videos man, and I hope I can stop in and say hi next time I'm up in the Medford area.
pull the rubber out of the bottom of the windshield , just a little adhesive on the bottom of it, it goes right back the same way as you pull sweeps from doors
What's the worst car u have ever tinted as in stuff like that foam being in the way? Thats a pretty nice strip. I wish u could post pictures. I did I thunk a 16 inch strip on one of my s10s and it was perfect I could see rite under it laying back a bit then if driving into a sunset or something bright just sit up a little bit and look threw the tint and stop the blinding light shining in my face
why bottom load? i just know you had to get some dirt specks in the middle of the glass and on the side from the gasket and the film touching on the door
What’s up man, i own a wrap shop in Glen Cove, Long Island. Never knew you were so close by..anyways just wanted to say thanks for the videos, your videos helped me take my tinting skill to the next level when i was first starting 2 years ago.
Sean how big is your shop? And how much do you pay for rent? Can you tell us a break down of it? I’ve been looking for a shop and it’s a bit difficult to find the right shop
Great vid shawn. How come you dont take the bottom seal out on the windshield? Ive done quite a few like that and its still sticky so you can put it back in
This is how i know im a great window tinter, you did literally everything i would when installing the windshield. As close to the bottom so possible, flipping the mirror back and forth, tucking past the foam seal once you gave the whole film installed etc. I may have to come work with you, I’m 6hrs away in Buffalo NY😁
Try the Black rifle coffee. Holy shhh. I tinted 3 vehicles in less then 7 hours. And one was a removal and retint. A car sedan. Then a F250. Easy. If your good. And a mid size suv and windshield. I was going. You can find it at 7-11 or Amazon. @windowtintwarrior
