Conan is actually a genius. Not only does he defend himself, but he does it in a way that doesn't embarass her (that much anyways, she kinda had it coming) with that manic laugh. He quickly changed it to a positive joke about her (you could kick my ass) and changed the subject. He really is a great talk show host.

The fact of the matter is that snuck started as an improper word that eventually got accepted after its usage became widespread. That’s how language evolves, but it doesn’t change the fact that sneaked is the more proper term.

They are "neologisms", and their place in the language is legitimate, because language is constantly evolving, and it does not convey only dry, robotic messages, but also moods, emotions, or serve as badges of belonging to certain cultural currents or tribes.
Technically none of them were wrong. Sneaked is used in the UK and snuck in the US and since the brits invented english, I tend to believe that their way is the correct way 🙃

After googling ^^ this for a bit, most sources say that both, sneaked as well as snuck can be used interchangeably.
