So the hinges are directional, meaning that forward and reverse are in relation to a 'face' of the piston. The way you you can tell which way it's facing is by two little white slashes, they look almost like a double quote (like this ") on the Female side of the hinge, the side that looks like two spread out arms. When looking back at your video I saw the first " symbol pointing down under the fuselage (Video Time 3:42). And then when you replaced the "Hatch Hinge Right" I can see it's " symbol pointing skyward (Video Time 5:24). Those hinges are very powerful and would lift your door with no issue, they were merely canceling each other out. I do like the piston function of the door, and you can just turn off both hinges then they will work like the hinges on a house door, just as a point of rotation an give no assistance to lift.
Just bought the expacs recently and started getting into ship building. My goal is to prototype a ship and eventually build it in Blender and, then Unity, then.....yeah. But I am really interested in your scripting tutorials. As an experienced programmer, it is nice to find something enjoyable to transfer that energy to.
I like that, you can look these things up, but I don't like the fact, they don't tell you exactly how to do it it's about how they want it, not how to do it lies
I love small ships gone wild. They have so much personality!

It seems a lot of us play Star Citizen and Space Engineers a lot.
I've always struggled with larger small grid ships, so this will be fun.
Okay I got uncomfortable when you weren't using the symmetry tool at the start😂

I have Star Citizen too but i still play SE more. lol I just love building
what mods do you use
You do know that even small grid rovers can get pretty large
You and dave should've done this together
I had the same problem building one of my ships I turned all the strength off on the hinges and only use the piston for strength
are you DangerouslyFunny?
