Thank you SO much, I couldn't figure out how to release the arm on my 84 el camino and luckily I had a small hammer that worked perfectly for lifting it off!
Not really. I have removed and replaced them after powder coating or rechroming, but I have always had the original spring to reinstall. I don’t think I have ever even gone looking for a replacement spring. Sorry.
Good video. Thank you. I've got a '55- 3100 Chevy truck with the same design wiper arms. I'm curious about that spring that's inside of the arm. ( I know that it's for tension ) & I see that the bracket that the spring hooks on to has an extra hole. What is the purpose of the extra hole? Is it for the wiper to press more on the windshield? Would there ever be a need to use the other hole? Thanks again, Henry
I don’t know, but I would imagine that the extra hole is for some other vehicle that needs different spring pressure to hold the wiper blade to the windshield. Interesting question, I hadn’t even noticed it was there.
That is my arm, but i have seen an arm where clip is on the outside-top (not underneath). Easily seen and you pull the clip out , but not completely.Same blade attachment to arm. Any idea what year that arm would come off of?

No problem!!
What's the trick to getting it back on with all that tension. I got a pinto, same dill going on
Usually I find folding the wiper arm into the up position can help, but make sure you have it lined up correctly, or you’ll be starting over
