I said this about crown 7 years ago. When they were improving each year. Theirs the next world championship winner two years later they did just that.. I'm saying now about Boston.. Here's your next winner. Give or take two years
This is gotta be the best music chart I've ever heard from the Boston Crusaders! If they keep the same staff and continue to build on what they are accomplishing now, they will be gold Medalist in the very near future! That being said, You gotta love being a BC fan this season.
Except for bad intonation at 3:25 probably caused by over blowing and the harmonies in that section of the score, this playing is fantastic demonstrating beautiful warmth which is difficult to achieve. It's remarkable what Gino has done to turn this into a true world class brass section. I've been following his work since the 90s with the Blue Devils and is one of the best in the business.
I love hearing these "lot" Recordings because its really the only time you really get to hear the horn line without electronic instruments drowning them out.
Chris is Very Correct. Also, a Dry Horn Line is Beautiful w/o Obnoxious Cymbals & Kevlar Bullet-Proof Snare Heads. Random Gunfire in the streets of Beirut is Just as Musical. 1. Hannum Explored Cymbals '83-'88=Good. Then Immature D Lines went Cymbal-Crazy=Bad. Thank you Cavies for Subtracting Too Many Cyms from the Equation. 2. The Kevlar Snare head is Zero % Musical Instrument. Rennick/SCV try hard/Come Close. 1975 SCV on Ludwig Silver Dots up thru 1989 Star Indy/Premier Marathon Sn Heads were Musical. Then Everything got Sideways-Wonky on Kevlar Snare Heads. Blue Devs System Blue were/are Trash. Industrial Popcorn Machines are more musical. 2022 RCC Ludwig Tenors sound nice. Fingers crossed for BD Ludwig snares coming in June. But anywhoo...Chris is Correct. Thanks Gino/BAC Horns AND for a HQ Posting, HL Fanatic :)
HornlineFanatic thank you for all you do! Especially us up in Canada, we only really get to see finals and your lot videos let us see the story unfold like we are there and I'm so appreciative. Thank you.
I feel like an idiot for not hearing "Salvation" at 3:35 before tonight. Takes on a whole new meaning. It's been over24 years since I conducted that as a warm-up. Lots of awesome and cherished memories from that song!
If I remember correctly, you have mentioned before that all of your videos are shot with the same audio settings? Because this video seems much louder than previous ones (not complaining lol). Is that just how good BAC is this year?
I always attempt to. This hornline is insanely loud anyway, but Gino also has them in a stacked arc which is even closer / louder, not to mention they're standing on asphalt. All those things combined made this unbelievably loud in person. Also, if you right-click "stats for nerds" on the vid, you can see TH-cam has normalized this video down to like half the original volume - something they didn't start doing until recently. Maybe time to find a better platform. Always wished I could post videos with uncompressed audio anyway, and the normalization is just another nail in the yt coffin.
Gino HAS to be the most underrated educator in the game.

Chris Roy or mic’d solos drowning out the rest of the corps.

Terrific production value! Thanks for posting!
Holy crap. I'm not always a fan of Boston but that got me feeling something
Second cleanest hornline followed by Crown, no doubt in that
Best horn line sound this season so far.. They are louder and cleaner than anything I've heard,, tip of the hat to those contras ..
Can they please bring back virtual hornline. With this talent it would be something to behold.

from the " Ole Toad " in Saskatchewan Canada!!!
Very strong baritones.
That's about 120 db at its peak.
The opening warmup reminds me of Philip Glass.
YESSSSS😍😍😊

If you swap platforms, gotta let us know so we can follow. ;)
Dream corps
It's too bad that now electronics cover much of the color and textures of the hornline during a show.
I was about to comment that you should balance your audio a bit more and increase the db limit until I got to 2:54!
Sweet!
Woow like!!!!Very good 👏👏👏
