Carolina Crown hornline warms up on their tuning sequence based on their new closer in Akron on June 23, 2018. Check back soon for more DCI 2018 brass warm-up footage!
That is the strongest low brass i've heard from Crown to date. That is phenomenal! They are playing at the edge of what those friggin horns can handle.
I love Crown, but I'm always so afraid of clicking their videos. I get in this false sense of security that maybe this time my ears might live. Then suddenly, I'm deaf. again.
11tybillion. LOLOL, that's really funny! I think that needs to go into the math standards book. "Wow that is strong even at a mere 0.85 11tybillionths"
Your mics & mic pres must have some incredible headroom. I can't imagine a compressor / limiter handling the fff at 3:08! Wonderful video & audio quality. I saw Cown's preview show in South Carolina and have my tickets for the show in Atlanta. Go Crown!
Being from the NYC area and being familiar with the never ending sounds of the city, I would like to name this composition. I choose to call it "NYC Dawn to Dusk". It is so beautiful how it starts out with quiet walking, then sunrise, then the morning rush hour - commuters, shoppers, theater goers entering the city, then the busy lunch hour with everyone eating lunch at restaurants and dishes being washed and tables being set, then it's mid afternoon and the schoolkids are getting out of school, next is the evening rush hour, sun is gradually setting while those staying behind in the city are going out to dinner. Finally it is night and the sun is gone but the nightlife lives on until all are ... asleep!
Nice job ladies and gentlemen. Cheers from " Ole Toad " in Canada. My corps was De La Salle back in 1964 and 1965... Had many good friends in U.S.A. My wife is one of the best!!!
I tell you what, this line plays with such control until Harloff lets them rip. The chords 2:11 to 2:21 are incredible, then when he lets them tear loose at 3:08...and then that release??? It's a thing of beauty! It does this old DCA horn player's heart good.

Hope you are seeing an ENT / ear doctor and an audiologist! I would follow their orders to a T and get the best rest and nutrition possible! There is so much you can do besides music, whether it’s learning a new programming language or hiking! Maybe the perfect time to pick up a different instrument like guitar or piano!! (If you’re allowed to be exposed to any musical sounds)
I just wish the last 4-6 seconds there was a cherry on top from the Trumpets. like a DBL G or something just wailing away b4 the cut off. (sigh) I love the Lot!
Step 1. Find a friend who's new to drum corps Step 2. Cue up this vid and give them the headphones Step 3. Press play and turn it up so they can hear the beginning okay Step 4. Wait for three minutes Step 5. Make them beg for mercy
Putting the Quality in Quality Audio, the color grading and just everything about your work.
he keeps adding features. next it'll be ultrawide 8k 240fps VR Harloff simulator

3:18 that moment when you think they won’t go higher, but then they do just amazes me, it sounds so beautiful like that.
At 1:51 the invasion of Goosebumps begins, at 3:27 spontaneous tears erupt! Amazing. 3:51 pause for reflection of the meaning of life.
