It's fun watching most people's predictable experience with Zep's timeless music. Initially there's a brief (slightly) lost/confused period. That quickly morphs into enthusiastic admiration and astonishment. Unmistakable final stage is evidenced by full blown addiction, lifelong & incurable.🤩

Led Zeppelin= PURE Rock n Roll (NO "metal"). They were heavily inspired by Blues. They're considered to be one of, if not, the BEST Rock bands of all time. They were only together approx. 10 years due to the accidental death of their drummer. They felt they couldn't replace him. The magic of Zeppelin was in the 4 members as a whole. In those 10 years, they created 8 legendary studio albums. Recommend: "Immigrant Song".... It was used in a fairly recent BLOCKBUSTER movie ....You'll probably recognize it ;)

Transport yourself back to 69'. 1st listen to this song is a mind blower, along with the entire album. I know cause I was 19 yrs old back then. Actually the 60's were mind blowing. Watching any Live Led Zeppelin performance is an Experience.. It is a deep rabbit hole to jump into but well worth it.. They are a Rock Band.. If U watch the Live 1973 version of "Stairway To Heaven" from the Madison Square Garden Show U will have watched one of the top rated Rock songs of all time, even today.. They recorded this Show, put it on DVD and is credited with being one of the 1st. of not the 1st music video.. ☻ ♠W.G.

always like seeing first reaction to Led Zeppelin to remind me of my first reaction... I was only 18 .... turned me to start my college years as I grew out my hair and wore my bell bottoms and went to many concerts..... when I turned 13 the Beatles erupted on the scene and till ruled the charts till Led Zeppelin took over for the next decade it seems... probably bit deaf from those concerts but the sound was truer back then and the volume was massive....... great times.....fell in love with many girls and went to lots of places.....cheers

1971 I'm sixteen years old, Santa Monica, Ca. surfer. Saturday night between Xmas and New Year's Day, hanging out at buds house with a couple of guys and chicks, smoking some Maui Waui, black light blowing up the posters on walls. Led Zep blasting, air guitars and drums flying...
Whole Lotta Love was my very first Zeppelin song as well. Heard on the radio when I was 9 and ask for it immediately. I blame them for me still playing in a rock band at age 60. Saw them in 77.

Transport yourself back to 69'. 1st listen to this song is a mind blower, along with the entire album. I know cause I was 19 yrs old back then. Actually the 60's were mind blowing. Sex, drugs, rock and roll. Flower power, hippies, Woodstock. Sry bout ramblin' on...just brought back a flood of memories. Great pic Shiloh. Still remember being High School and hearing this song reverberating through the commons-a huge open area in the middle of the school where you could hang out-when music was the best it would ever be!
always like seeing first reaction to Led Zeppelin to remind me of my first reaction... I was only 18 .... turned me to start my college years as I grew out my hair and wore my bell bottoms and went to many concerts..... when I turned 13 the Beatles erupted on the scene and till ruled the charts till Led Zeppelin took over for the next decade it seems... probably bit deaf from those concerts but the sound was truer back then and the volume was massive....... great times.....fell in love with many girls and went to lots of places.....cheers

If you like metal, you should listen to Black Sabbath if you haven’t yet, and particularly the song Black Sabbath of their self-titled first album Black Sabbath. That song was the birth of heavy metal music. And although I personally am not a metal fan, I am still listening to Sabbath 50 years after their first album.
Led is blues rock or funk rock or sometimes old school rock.. try the following--'Travelling riverside blues', 'ramble on,'' 'the ocean' -live, 'stairway to heaven', 'fool in the rain,' 'immigrant song,' 'Black dog,' 'since I've been loving you'- live, 'Heartbreaker' must be played and must be followed by 'living loving maid' as that is how it is presented on the album and played on the radio back in the day. So heartbreaker same time as living loving maid. There are dozens more..huge rabbit hole..i was introduced to this band in 1976..'stairway to heaven' and have been a huge fan since that Jr. High day..

Welcome to one of the greatest rock bands of all time. They have influenced so many other artists. I saw them live in 1977. Absolutely amazing. Next try The Immigrant Song. Then go to anything on Zepplin II or IV (also known as ZOSO). Black Dog, Misty Mountain Hop, Stairway to Heaven, Ramble On Going to California. When the Levee Breaks, What is and What Should Never Be and much much more. . There really is no bad Zeppelin so you could also check out Zeppelin I, III, Houses of the Holy, or Physical Graffiti (considered one of the best 2 album sets ever).

Whole Lotta Love was my very first Zeppelin song as well. Heard on the radio when I was 9 and ask for it immediately. I blame them for me still playing in a rock band at age 60. Saw them in 77.

They were closer to the blues in the early years for sure. Check out "since I've been loving you" or "thank you' for your next songs but you can never go wrong with any song at all.
